REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE, Tuesday, 16th September 2025 – Major Muhamad Syuaib bin Haji Meraj, Officer Commanding, First Squadron (Field), Engineer Regiment, Royal Brunei Land Forces, has succesfully completed the 86th Battalion Tactic Course (BTC) at the Army Officers' Advanced School, Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Advanced School, SAFTI Military Institute (SAFTI MI), Republic of Singapore, which was conducted from 6th August 2025 to 16th September 2025. The closing event took place at the Auditorium SAF Advanced School, SAFTI MI, officiated by Brigadier General Wong Shi Ming, Chief of Staff-General Staff, Singapore Army.
A total of 89 officers attended the course, with the participation of 03 International Officers, namely from Brunei Darussalam, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the United States of America. The BTC encompasses lessons, which include Map Planning Tutorials and Exercises, as well as Wargaming Exercises, and are designed to teach course participants to be effective Battalion Staff. On top of operational military knowledge, seminars were also conducted to enhance the course participants' thinking on Fighting Smart and Control of Operations. The course is aimed at training participants in planning and executing Battalion-level combined arms operations, with emphasis on tactics, techniques and procedures. This will provide them with the foundation for the next stage of training and facilitate Inter-Service integration.
PEGAWAI TDDB TAMAT KURSUS BATALION TAKTIK KE-86
REPUBLIK SINGAPURA, Selasa, 16 September 2025 - Mejar Muhamad Syuaib bin Haji Meraj, Pegawai Memerintah, Skuadron Pertama (Medan), Rejimen Jurutera, Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei telah menamatkan Kursus Batalion Taktik ke-86 di Army Officers' Advanced School, Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Advanced School, SAFTI Military Institute (SAFTI MI), Republik Singapura, yang bermula dari 06 Ogos 2025 hingga 16 September 2025. Acara penutup telah berlangsung di Auditorium SAF Advanced School, SAFTI MI yang disempurnakan oleh Brigedier Jeneral Wong Shi Ming, Chief of Staff-General Staff, Singapore Army.
Seramai 89 Pegawai telah menghadiri kursus tersebut dengan penyertaan 03 Pegawai Antarabangsa iaitu dari Negara Brunei Darussalam, Republik Sosialis Vietnam dan Amerika Syarikat. Kursus ini merangkumi pelajaran tutorials dan Latihan Perancangan Peta, serta Latihan Wargaming yang direka untuk mengajar peserta kursus untuk menjadi Staf Batalion yang efektif. Selain pengetahuan ketenteraan operasi, seminar juga telah diadakan untuk meningkatkan pemikiran peserta kursus dalam Berperang Secara Pintar dan Kawalan Operasi. Kursus ini adalah bertujuan untuk melatih peserta dalam merancang dan melaksanakan operasi gabungan di peringkat Batalion, dengan penekanan kepada taktik, teknik dan prosedur. Ini akan memberikan mereka asas untuk peringkat latihan seterusnya dan memudahkan bagi integrasi antara unit angkatan tentera.
