BERAKAS GARRISON, Friday, 12th September 2025 – The Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) hosted the 9th Brunei-Malaysia Army to Army Staff Talk (BRUMAL A2AST) 2025 with the Malaysian Army, held from 09th to 12th September 2025 at the Officers' Mess, Berakas Garrison. The RBLF delegation was led by Lieutenant Colonel Erwan bin Haji Ibrahim, RBLF Chief of Staff, while the Malaysian Army was headed by Major General Dato' Rashidin Hashimi bin Ab Rashid, Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations and Training.
The BRUMAL A2AST includes discussion on upcoming bilateral activities such as trainings, exercises, courses, and personnel exchanges and programs. The Malaysian delegation also visited the RBLF School of Infantry, the Royal Brunei Armed Forces Training Simulation Centre, and had the opportunity for cultural activities.
BRUMAL A2AST serves as a platform to enhance the existing bilateral relationships generally between Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia, and specifically the RBLF and Malaysian Army. The talks are held annually on a rotational basis, with the previous series hosted at Hotel Perdana Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 15th to 16th October 2024.











MESYUARAT BRUNEI-MALAYSIA ARMY TO ARMY STAFF TALKS 2025 KE-9
BERAKAS GARISON, Jumaat, 12 September 2025 – Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB) telah menghoskan Mesyuarat Brunei-Malaysia Army to Army Staff Talk (BRUMAL A2AST) 2025 kali ke-9 bersama Tentera Darat Malaysia (TDM), yang berlangsung dari 9 hingga 12 September di Mes Pegawai, Berakas Garison. Delegasi TDDB telah diketuai oleh Leftenan Kolonel Erwan bin Haji Ibrahim, Ketua Staf TDDB, manakala TDM oleh Mejar Jeneral Dato' Rashidin Hashimi bin Ab Rashid, Asisten Ketua Staf Operasi dan Latihan.
BRUMAL A2AST membincangkan mengenai aktiviti dua hala yang akan datang seperti latihan, eksesais, kursus, dan program ketenteraan serta pertukaran anggota. Rombongan TDM juga berkesempatan membuat lawatan ke Sekolah Infantri TDDB, Pusat Latihan Simulasi Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei, dan berpeluang mengikuti aktiviti kebudayaan.
BRUMAL A2AT menjadi landasan dalam meningkatkan hubungan dua hala yang sedia ada di antara Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Malaysia amnya, dan TDDB dan TDM khasnya. Mesyuarat ini diadakan pada setiap tahun secara bergilir, dengan siri sebelumnya berlangsung di Hotel Perdana, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia pada 15 hingga 16 Oktober 2024.
