PENANJONG GARRISON, Thursday, 26th June 2025 – Closing ceremony for the Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Explosive (CBRE) Pioneer Course 2025 was recently held at the Engineer Regiment Headquarters, Royal Brunei Land Forces (Engr Regt RBLF), Penanjong Garrison. A total of 10 participants have successfully completed the course which was conducted by the Specialist Engineer Wing, School of Engineer (SOE) Engr Regt RBLF from 7th April 2025 to 26th June 2025.
Present as the Guest of Honour was Major Haji Abdul Rahim bin Haji Adris, Second in Command of ER RBLF. The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah by Private Abdul Muqsit bin Ismail, personnel from Second Squadron (2Sqn [CBRE Def] Engr Regt RBLF) followed by a course review by Staff Sergeant Jamalludin bin Haji Bagol, Quartermaster Sergeant Instructor of Specialist Engineer Wing Engr Regt RBLF, highlighting the overall great dedication and progress shown by the course participants.
The event continued with the presentation of certificates and awards by the Guest of Honour. The Overall Best Student and Best Student for Improvised Explosive Device Disposal (IEDD) Phase was awarded to Corporal Haji Hilmi bin Mali, 2Sqn [CBRE Def] Engr Regt RBLF. Meanwhile, The Best Student Award for Chemical, Biological, and Radiological (CBR) Defence Phase Award was awarded to Corporal Md Tahiruddin bin Ahmad, 2Sqn [CBRE Def] Engr Regt RBLF.
The CBRE Pioneer Course is a mandatory program for all personnel of 2Sqn CBRE Engr Regt RBLF who hold the rank of Corporal and serve as the Second-in-Command to the Team Commander. The main objective of this course is to develop and refine participants' abilities to identify potential Chemical, Biological, Radiological (CBR) and Improvised Explosive Device threats, as well as to recognise key components essential for supporting the determination of appropriate response procedures.
MAJLIS PENUTUP KURSUS RINTIS KBRL 2025
PENANJONG GARISON, Khamis, 26 Jun 2025 – Majlis penutup Kursus Rintis Kimia, Biologi, Radiologi dan Letupan (KBRL) telah diadakan di Markas Rejimen Jurutera, Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (RJ TDDB), Penanjong Garison. Seramai 10 peserta kursus telah berjaya menamatkan kursus tersebut yang dikendalikan oleh Cawangan Jurutera Pakar, Sekolah Jurutera Tentera (SJT) RJ TDDB bermula dari 7 April 2025 hingga 26 Jun 2025.
Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat ialah Mejar Haji Abdul Rahim bin Haji Adris, Timbalan Pegawai Pemerintah RJ TDDB. Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah yang dipimpin oleh Soldadu Abdul Muqsit bin Ismail daripada 2 skuadron (2Skn [Pthn KBRL] RJ TDDB) dan diikuti dengan ulasan kursus oleh Staf Sarjan Jamalludin bin Haji Bagol, Quartermaster Sergeant Instructor dari Cawangan Jurutera Pakar SJT RJ TDDB, tentang dedikasi dan kemajuan yang baik daripada para peserta kursus.
Majlis diteruskan dengan penyampaian sijil dan anugerah oleh Tetamu Kehormat. Penuntut Terbaik Keseluruhan dan Penuntut Terbaik bagi Fasa Improvised Explosive Device Disposal dianugerahkan kepada Koperal Haji Hilmi bin Mali, 2Skn [Pthn KBRL] RJ TDDB. Manakala, Penuntut Terbaik bagi Fasa Kimia, Biologi dan Radiologi (KBR) disandang oleh Koperal Md Tahiruddin bin Ahmad, 2Skn [Pthn KBRL] RJ TDDB.
Kursus Rintis KBRL ini adalah antara kursus yang wajib dihadiri oleh anggota-anggota 2Skn KBRL RJ TDDB yang berpangkat Koperal dan memegang jawatan sebagai Penolong Ketua Tim. Objektif utama kursus ini adalah untuk meningkatkan dan mengasah kemahiran para peserta kursus bukan sahaja dalam mengenalpasti potensi ancaman KBR dan bom rekaan sendiri, tetapi juga mengetahui komponen utama untuk membantu dalam penentuan prosedur tindak balas yang sesuai.
