JAKARTA, Saturday, 14th June 2025 – Lieutenant Colonel Erwan bin Haji Ibrahim, Chief of Staff of the Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF), attended the 10th Indo Defence 2025 Expo and Forum hosted by the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Indonesia. The event was held from 11 to 14 June 2025 at the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) Kemayoran, Jakarta, under the theme “Defence Partnerships for Global Peace and Stability."
The opening ceremony was officiated by His Excellency General (Retired) Prabowo Subianto, President of the Republic of Indonesia, accompanied by the Minister of Defence, His Excellency Lieutenant General (Retired) Dr. Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin. This year's prestigious defence exhibition featured over 1,180 exhibitors from 42 countries, underscoring the importance of global collaboration in the defence and security sectors.
During the event, the Chief of Staff RBLF witnessed a live tactical demonstration by the Special Forces Command (KOPASSUS) of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), showcasing their operational capabilities and readiness. Lieutenant Colonel Erwan also toured the exhibition to engage with key industry stakeholders, explore solutions addressing RBLF's capability development needs, and gain strategic insights for future force development. He observed product demonstrations by leading defence companies including PT Pindad, DroneShield, L3Harris Technologies and KNDS.
Held biennially, the Indo Defence Expo and Forum continues to serve as a vital platform for fostering regional and international defence cooperation, while highlighting the latest technological advancements in the global defence industry.
KETUA STAF TDDB MENGHADIRI INDO DEFENCE 2025 EXPO DAN FORUM KALI KE-10
JAKARTA, Sabtu, 14 Jun 2025 – Leftenan Kolonel Erwan bin Haji Ibrahim, Ketua Staf Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB) telah menghadiri Pameran dan Forum Indo Defence 2025 kali ke-10 yang dianjurkan oleh Kementerian Pertahanan, Republik Indonesia. Acara ini berlangsung dari 11 hingga 14 Jun 2025 bertempat di Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) Kemayoran, Jakarta, dengan tema “Defence Partnerships for Global Peace and Stability".
Majlis pembukaan telah disempurnakan oleh Yang Terhormat Jenderal (Purn) Prabowo Subianto, Presiden Republik Indonesia, yang turut diiringi oleh Menteri Pertahanan Republik Indonesia, Tuan Yang Terutama Leftenan Jeneral (Purn) Dr. Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin. Pameran pertahanan berprestij ini menampilkan penyertaan lebih daripada 1,180 syarikat dari 42 buah negara, yang mencerminkan kekuatan kerjasama antarabangsa dalam bidang pertahanan dan keselamatan.
Semasa acara tersebut, Ketua Staf TDDB turut berpeluang menyaksikan demonstrasi ketenteraan secara langsung oleh Komando Pasukan Khusus (KOPASSUS) Tentara Nasional Indonesia (TNI) yang mempamerkan keupayaan taktikal dan kecemerlangan operasi.
Ketua Staf TDDB juga melawat pameran di JIExpo, untuk berinteraksi dengan pihak-pihak berkepentingan dalam industri pertahanan, meneroka penyelesaian yang berpotensi bagi menangani program dan jurang keupayaan TDDB, serta memperoleh pandangan strategik dalam menyokong pembangunan keupayaan masa depan TDDB. Antara demonstrasi produk yang turut disaksikan termasuk syarikat-syarikat pertahanan terkemuka seperti PT Pindad, DroneShield, L3Harris Technologies dan KNDS.
Indo Defence 2025 Expo dan Forum yang diadakan setiap dua tahun ini terus menjadi platform penting dalam memperkukuhkan kerjasama pertahanan di peringkat serantau dan antarabangsa, serta mempamerkan teknologi dan inovasi terkini dalam industri pertahanan global.
