HONOLULU, Thursday, 14th May 2026 – A delegation from the Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF), led by Brigadier General Aldi bin Haji Hassan, Commander RBLF, attended the Land Forces of the Pacific (LANPAC) Symposium and Exposition 2026 held at the Sheraton Waikiki, Honolulu, Hawaii, United States of America, from 12th to 14th May 2026. Organised by the United States Army Pacific (USARPAC) in collaboration with the Association of the United States Army (AUSA), the symposium brought together 25 international delegations, including 16 Chiefs of Army from across the Indo-Pacific region. This year's theme, “Prevailing through Transformation and Innovation", highlighted the importance of modernisation, adaptability and collaboration among land forces and partner nations in addressing evolving regional security challenges.
The opening ceremony was officiated by General (Retired) Robert Brown, President and Chief Executive Officer of AUSA, who delivered the opening remarks emphasising the importance of multinational partnerships in maintaining regional security and stability. During the ceremony, General Ronald P. Clark, Commanding General of USARPAC, announced the winners of the Pacific Land Forces Team Readiness Challenge (PLFTRC), recognising the United Kingdom team as the overall champion of the multinational competition. He further highlighted that the establishment of the PLFTRC represents a significant step towards strengthening cooperation, interoperability and collective readiness among participating nations.
Throughout LANPAC 2026, the RBLF delegation attended a series of key engagements, including Keynote Addresses, Panel Discussions and Commander's Corner sessions covering various strategic and operational topics. At the sidelines of the symposium, the RBLF Commander also managed to hold a series of engagements with several Army Chiefs, including General Ronald P. Clark, Commanding General of USARPAC; Yang Berbahagia General Dato' Azhan bin Haji Md Othman, Chief of Malaysian Army; Major General Cai Dexian, Chief of Singapore Army; Lieutenant General Antonio Nafarrete, Commanding General of the Philippine Army; General Pana Claewplodtook, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army; Lieutenant General Simon Stuart, Chief of Australian Army; and Major General Rose King, Chief of New Zealand Army, to discuss strategic matters and explore opportunities for future defence cooperation. In addition, the RBLF Commander also had the opportunity to meet with several other Army Chiefs, Deputy Chiefs, and Army representatives from participating countries. Alongside attending the LANPAC 2026 official dinner, the delegation also visited the defence technology exposition featuring the latest military capabilities and innovations.
The participation of RBLF in LANPAC 2026 reflects the Royal Brunei Armed Forces' continued commitment towards strengthening strategic networks and defence diplomacy through proactive engagement with regional and international defence partners, while enhancing interoperability and operational effectiveness in line with emerging developments in transformation and innovation.











PEMERINTAH TDDB MENGHADIRI LANPAC SYMPOSIUM AND EXPOSITION 2026
HONOLULU, Khamis, 14hb Mei 2026 – Delegasi Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB) yang diketuai oleh Brigedier Jeneral Aldi bin Haji Hassan, Pemerintah TDDB, telah menghadiri Land Forces of the Pacific (LANPAC) Symposium and Exposition 2026 yang berlangsung di Sheraton Waikiki, Honolulu, Hawaii, Amerika Syarikat dari 12hb hingga 14hb Mei 2026. Simposium tersebut dianjurkan oleh United States Army Pacific (USARPAC) dengan kerjasama Association of the United States Army (AUSA), dan menghimpunkan 25 delegasi antarabangsa, termasuk 16 Panglima Tentera Darat dari seluruh rantau Indo-Pasifik. Tema tahun ini, “Prevailing through Transformation and Innovation", menekankan kepentingan pemodenan, kebolehsuaian dan kerjasama dalam kalangan tentera darat dan negara-negara rakan strategik dalam menghadapi cabaran keselamatan serantau yang semakin berkembang.
Majlis pembukaan LANPAC 2026 telah disempurnakan oleh Jeneral (Bersara) Robert Brown, President and Chief Executive Officer of AUSA, yang menyampaikan ucapan pembukaan dengan menekankan kepentingan kerjasama pelbagai negara dalam mengekalkan keselamatan dan kestabilan serantau. Semasa majlis tersebut, Jeneral Ronald P. Clark, Commanding General of USARPAC, turut mengumumkan pemenang Pacific Land Forces Team Readiness Challenge (PLFTRC), dengan mengiktiraf pasukan dari United Kingdom sebagai juara keseluruhan pertandingan pelbagai negara tersebut. Beliau turut menegaskan bahawa penubuhan PLFTRC merupakan satu langkah penting dalam memperkukuhkan kerjasama, interoperabiliti dan kesiapsiagaan bersama di kalangan negara-negara yang terlibat.
Sepanjang LANPAC 2026 berlangsung, delegasi TDDB telah menghadiri beberapa sesi utama termasuk Keynote Addresses, Panel Discussions dan Commander's Corner yang membincangkan pelbagai isu strategik dan operasi. Di samping itu, Pemerintah TDDB turut mengadakan perjumpaan bersama beberapa Panglima Tentera Darat termasuk Jeneral Ronald P. Clark, Commanding General of USARPAC; Yang Berbahagia Jeneral Dato' Azhan bin Haji Md Othman, Panglima Tentera Darat Malaysia; Mejar Jeneral Cai Dexian, Panglima Tentera Darat Singapura; Leftenan Jeneral Antonio Nafarrete, Commanding General of the Philippine Army; Jeneral Pana Claewplodtook, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army; Leftenan Jeneral Simon Stuart, Panglima Tentera Darat Australia; dan Mejar Jeneral Rose King, Panglima Tentera Darat New Zealand, bagi membincangkan isu-isu strategik serta meneroka peluang kerjasama pertahanan pada masa hadapan. Selain itu, Panglima TDDB juga berkesempatan berjumpa dengan beberapa lagi Panglima Tentera Darat, Timbalan Panglima, dan wakil Tentera Darat dari negara-negara yang ikut peserta. Di samping menghadiri majlis makan malam rasmi LANPAC 2026, delegasi turut melawat pameran teknologi pertahanan yang menampilkan keupayaan dan inovasi ketenteraan terkini.
Penyertaan TDDB dalam LANPAC 2026 mencerminkan komitmen berterusan Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei dalam memperkukuhkan rangkaian strategik dan diplomasi pertahanan melalui penglibatan proaktif bersama rakan-rakan pertahanan serantau dan antarabangsa, di samping meningkatkan interoperabiliti serta keberkesanan operasi selaras dengan perkembangan semasa dalam transformasi dan inovasi.
