SERASA, Friday, 08 May 2026 – The Closing Ceremony for the Basic, Intermediate and Advanced Combat Boat Course (ACBC) Series 2026 was held at the Water Sports Complex, Royal Brunei Navy, Serasa. Present to officiate the ceremony was Lieutenant Colonel Haji Mohammed Airul Wizam bin Haji Ahmad, Field Chief of Staff, Royal Brunei Land Forces (Field COS RBLF). A total of 26 personnel from the Combat Boat Squadron Unit, RBLF attended the seven-week course conducted from 16th March 2026 to 8th May 2026.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Mas Ismandi bin Hassan, Imam of Surau Al-Huda, Royal Brunei Navy, followed by a brief assessment presentation of the course participants. This proceeded with the presentation of certificates and badges to the participants by the Field COS RBLF. For the Basic Combat Boat Course, Private Awangku Muhd Akmal Shah bin Pengiran Johari was awarded Best Practical, Private Muhd Azim bin Irwan received the Best Theory Award, while Private Mohd Syahir bin Zainal was named Best Overall. In the Intermediate Combat Boat Course, Lance Corporal Mohd Aliassin bin Haji Bakar earned the Best Practical Award and was also recognised as Best Overall, while Lance Corporal Nabih Madudin Mahzuz bin Haji Libut received the Best Theory Award. For the Advanced Combat Boat Course, Corporal Abd Wa'ie bin Haji Aiman was honoured as the Best Overall in recognition of his exemplary performance throughout the course.
In his closing remarks, the Field Chief of Staff, RBLF emphasised the important role of Combat Boat Squadron personnel in supporting smooth operational execution, particularly in efforts to combat non-traditional crimes that are becoming increasingly active in the waters of Negara Brunei Darussalam. He also stressed that all personnel must continue to improve their efficiency, skills and competencies in order to remain ready to face current operational challenges that are becoming increasingly complex and demanding.
The courses aimed to progressively enhance personnel's knowledge, skills and operational competency. The Basic and Intermediate Courses focused on strengthening fundamental, tactical and leadership skills, while the Combat Boat Course trained personnel in safe and effective boat handling, navigation and tactical manoeuvres during waterborne operations.













KURSUS ASAS, PERTENGAHAN DAN LANJUTAN BOT TEMPUR SIRI 2026 BERAKHIR
SERASA, Jumaat, 08 Mei 2026 – Majlis Penutup Kursus Asas, Pertengahan dan Lanjutan Bot Tempur (APLBT) Siri 2026 telah berlangsung di Kompleks Sukan Air, Tentera Laut Diraja Brunei, Serasa. Hadir bagi menyempurnakan majlis ialah Yang Mulia Leftenan Kolonel Haji Mohammed Airul Wizam bin Haji Ahmad, Ketua Staf Medan, Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (KS Medan TDDB). Seramai 26 anggota daripada Unit Skuadron Bot Tempur, TDDB telah mengikuti kursus selama tujuh minggu dari 16 Mac 2026 hingga 8 Mei 2026.
Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah yang diketuai oleh Mas Ismandi bin Hassan, Imam Surau Al-Huda, Tentera Laut Diraja Brunei, diikuti dengan taklimat ringkas mengenai penilaian peserta kursus. Ianya kemudian diteruskan dengan penyampaian sijil serta lencana kepada para peserta yang disempurnakan oleh KS Medan TDDB. Bagi Kursus Asas Bot Tempur, Soldadu Awangku Muhd Akmal Shah bin Pg Johari telah dianugerahkan Terbaik Amali, Soldadu Muhd Azim bin Irwan menerima Anugerah Terbaik Teori, manakala Soldadu Mohd Syahir bin Zainal dinobatkan sebagai Terbaik Keseluruhan. Bagi Kursus Pertengahan Bot Tempur pula, Lans Koperal Mohd Aliassin bin Haji Bakar menerima Anugerah Terbaik Amali dan turut diiktiraf sebagai Terbaik Keseluruhan, sementara Lans Koperal Nabih Madudin Mahzuz bin Haji Libut menerima Anugerah Terbaik Teori. Sementara itu, bagi Kursus Lanjutan Bot Tempur, Koperal Abd Wa'ie bin Haji Aiman telah menerima anugerah sebagai Terbaik Keseluruhan sebagai pengiktirafan terhadap prestasi cemerlang beliau sepanjang kursus tersebut.
Dalam ucapan penutupnya, KS Medan TDDB menekankan kepentingan peranan anggota Skuadron Bot Tempur dalam menyokong kelancaran operasi, khususnya dalam usaha membanteras jenayah bukan tradisional yang semakin aktif di perairan Negara Brunei Darussalam. Beliau turut menegaskan bahawa setiap anggota perlu terus mempertingkatkan kecekapan, kemahiran dan kompetensi diri agar sentiasa bersedia menghadapi cabaran operasi semasa yang semakin kompleks dan mencabar.
Kursus-kursus tersebut diadakan bagi meningkatkan pengetahuan, kemahiran dan kecekapan operasi anggota secara berperingkat. Kursus Asas dan Pertengahan memberi tumpuan kepada pengukuhan kemahiran asas, taktikal dan kepimpinan, manakala Kursus Bot Tempur melatih anggota dalam pengendalian bot secara selamat dan berkesan, termasuk navigasi serta manuver taktikal semasa operasi di perairan.
