KIARONG, Monday, 27th October 2025 – The Engineer Regiment Royal Brunei Land Forces (Engr Regt RBLF), in collaboration with the United States Navy (U.S. Navy), conducted a Community Relations (COMREL) activity at the Paraplegics and Physically Disabled Association (PAPDA) compound in Kampong Kiarong. The COMREL was held in conjunction with the 31st iteration of the Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training 2025 (CARAT 31/2025) exercise.
Present as the guest of honour was Yang Mulia Dato Paduka Dr Haji Abdul Latif bin Haji Ibrahim, Chairman of PAPDA. Also in attendance were Major Haji Abdul Rahim bin Haji Adris, Engr Regt Acting Commanding Officer, and Lieutenant Commander Cole Yoos, Command Chaplain, Destroyer Squadron Seven, U.S. Navy, along with personnel from the Engr Regt, the U.S. Navy, and members of PAPDA.

The event commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by remarks from the PAPDA Chairman before proceeding with an exchange of mementoes and the handover of shelves from both the Engr Regt and the U.S. Navy to PAPDA. The event concluded with the recitation of Doa Selamat prayers and a group photo session.
The COMREL activity formed part of a series of community initiatives aimed at strengthening diplomatic and military relations between both nations, while helping other communities in need. Among other activities conducted were a cleaning campaign at the PAPDA compound and minor renovation works, including the installation of concrete ramps.
AKTIVITI KEMASYARAKATAN EKSESAIS CARAT 31/2025
KIARONG, Isnin, 27 Oktober 2025 – Rejimen Jurutera Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (RJ TDDB) bersama Tentera Laut Amerika Syarikat (TLAS) telah melaksanakan Aktiviti Kemasyarakatan bertempat di Paraplegic and Physically Disabled Association (PAPDA), Kampong Kiarong, bersempena dengan Eksesais Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training kali ke-31 tahun 2025 (CARAT 31/2025).
Hadir selaku tetamu kehormat ialah Yang Mulia Dato Paduka Dr Haji Abdul Latif bin Haji Ibrahim, Pengerusi PAPDA. Turut hadir ialah Mejar Haji Abdul Rahim bin Haji Adris, Pemangku Pegawai Pemerintah RJ TDDB dan Leftenan Komander Cole Yoos, Command Chaplain, Destroyer Squadron Seven, TLAS, serta anggota dari RJ TDDB, TLAS dan ahli-ahli tetap PAPDA.
Acara dimulakan dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah, diikuti dengan ucapan dari Pengerusi PAPDA sebelum diteruskan dengan pertukaran cenderahati serta penyerahan rak daripada pihak RJ TDDB dan TLAS kepada pihak PAPDA. Acara kemudiannya diakhiri dengan bacaan Doa Selamat dan sesi bergambar ramai.
Aktiviti Kemasyarakatan ini merupakan sebahagian daripada inisiatif komuniti yang bertujuan untuk memperkukuhkan hubungan diplomatik dan ketenteraan antara kedua-dua buah negara di samping membantu masyarakat yang memerlukan. Antara aktiviti lain yang diungkayahkan termasuk kempen kebersihan di luar kawasan PAPDA serta kerja-kerja pengubahsuaian termasuk pemasangan tanjakan konkrit bagi kemudahan ahli-ahli PAPDA.
