PENANJONG GARRISON, Friday, 24th October 2025 – The Support Company of the First Battalion, Royal Brunei Land Forces (1Bn RBLF), conducted a Live-Firing Exercise from 23rd to 24th October 2025 at the Field Firing Area, Binturan Range, Penanjong Garrison. The exercise involved the Battalion's Support Weapons and Support Unit elements, including the Heavy Support Weapon (HSW) Platoon, Special Task Platoon (STP), and Assault Pioneer Platoon.
Present to witness the final phase of the exercise was the Commanding Officer of 1Bn RBLF. The scenario simulated a hostage rescue operation, where the STP was deployed to secure a captive from an enemy compound. The mission was supported by sniper elements from STP and the HMG Platoon, providing suppressive fire, while the Assault Pioneer Platoon concluded the mission by neutralising the enemy position using military-grade explosives.
The exercise is aimed to strengthen the competency and weapon-handling proficiency of Battalion Support personnel, as well as to enhance coordination and effectiveness in delivering integrated fire support during battalion-level operations.
EKSESAIS MENEMBAK PELURU HIDUP 1BN TDDB
PENANJONG GARISON, Jumaat, 24 Oktober 2025 – Kompeni Bantu, Batalion Pertama Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (1Bn TDDB), telah melaksanakan Eksesais Menembak Peluru Hidup dari 23 hingga 24 Oktober 2025 di Lapang Sasar, Padang Tembak Binturan, Penanjong Garison. Eksesais ini melibatkan penggunaan senjata bantuan batalion dan penyertaan unit bantuan termasuk Platun Senjata Berat, Platun Gerak Khas (PGK), dan Platun Rintis Serang (PRS).
Hadir menyaksikan fasa akhir eksesais ialah Pegawai Pemerintah 1Bn TDDB. Senario latihan tersebut menampilkan operasi menyelamat tebusan, di mana pasukan PGK digerakkan untuk menyelamatkan tebusan dari kawasan musuh dengan sokongan pasukan sniper dari PGK serta Platun Senjata Berat bagi memberikan kuasa tembakan tambahan, manakala PRS mengakhiri misi dengan meneutralkan kedudukan musuh menggunakan bahan letupan gred tentera.
Eksesais ini adalah bertujuan untuk memastikan tahap kecekapan dan kemahiran anggota dalam pengendalian senjata sentiasa berada pada tahap yang tinggi, di samping memperkukuh koordinasi dan keberkesanan dalam pelaksanaan bantuan kuasa tembakan semasa operasi di peringkat batalion.
