PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA, Friday, 19th September 2025 – Major Amzar Muaz bin Haji Tamit, Officer Commanding of 'B' Company, Second Battalion Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) has completed the 3rd United Nations Comprehensive Protection of Civilian Course (PoC) at the Training Base of the College of International Studies, National University of Defense Technology, People's Republic of China. The course was organised by China's Peacekeeping Affairs Centre under the Ministry of National Defence, which was held from 8th September 2025 to 19th September 2025.
The two-week course comprised of Core Pre-Deployment Training Modules, a Reinforcement Training Package for United Nations peacekeeping officers and integrated exercises. The course participants also had the opportunity to share their insights and experiences during their respective peacekeeping missions. Brunei Darussalam is co-hosting the ASEAN Defence Ministers' Meeting Plus (ADMM-Plus) Peacekeeping Operations (PKO) Expert Working Group with the People's Republic of China for cycle 2024 – 2027, and the UN Comprehensive PoC will certainly support the goals of the PKO-EWG by providing specialised training that is essential for effective peacekeeping.
Major Amzar Muaz attended the course alongside one officer from the Royal Brunei Navy and participants from the Kingdom of Cambodia, the Republic of Indonesia, the Lao People's Democratic Republic, the Kingdom of Thailand, Timor-Leste, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Fiji, and the Russian Federation.
PEGAWAI TDDB TAMAT KURSUS THE 3rd UNITED NATION COMPREHENSIVE PROTECTION OF CIVILIAN
REPUBLIK RAKYAT CHINA, Jumaat, 19 September 2023 – Mejar Amzar Muaz bin Haji Tamit, Pegawai Memerintah Kompeni 'B', Batalion Kedua Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB) telah menamatkan Kursus United Nation Comprehensive Protection of Civilian (PoC) kali ke-3 bertempat di Training Base of the College of International Studies, National University of Defense Technology, Republik Rakyat China. Kursus tersebut merupakan anjuran Peacekeeping Affairs Center di bawah Kementerian Pertahanan Nasional Republik Rakyat China yang berlangsung dari 8 September 2025 hingga 19 September 2025.
Kursus selama dua minggu ini merangkumi Modul Latihan Teras Pra-Penugasan, Pakej Latihan Pengukuhan pegawai tentera pengamanan Pertubuhan Bangsa-Bangsa Bersatu dan latihan integrasi. Para peserta kursus juga berpeluang untuk berkongsi pandangan dan pengalaman mereka semasa mengikuti misi pengaman. Negara Brunei Darussalam menghoskan Mesyuarat Menteri-Menteri Pertahanan ASEAN-Plus (ADMM-Plus) Kumpulan Kerja Pakar Operasi Pengamanan bersama Republik Rakyat China bagi kitaran 2024 – 2027, dan kursus UN Comprehensive PoC ini setentunya mendokong matlamat Kumpulan Kerja Pakar Operasi Pengamanan dalam menyediakan latihan khusus yang penting bagi misi pengamanan yang berkesan.
Mejar Amzar Muaz telah menghadiri kursus tersebut bersama seorang pegawai dari Tentera Laut Diraja Brunei, dan para peserta dari Kerajaan Kemboja, Republik Indonesia, Republik Demokratik Rakyat Lao, Kerajaan Thailand, Timor-Leste, Republik Sosialis Vietnam, Fiji, dan Persekutuan Rusia.
