ACTING COMMANDER RBLF ATTENDED THE LAND FORCES OF THE PACIFIC SYMPOSIUM AND EXPOSITION 2025

HONOLULU, Thursday, 15 May 2025 – The Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) delegation led by Colonel Muhammad Wata bin Abdullah Awat, the Acting Commander of RBLF had attended the 12th Land Forces Pacific (LANPAC) Symposium and Exposition in Honolulu, Hawaii, United States of America. The event was held from 13th to 15th May 2025, which involved the participation of more than 33 countries organised by The Association of the United States Army (AUSA). This year's theme entitled “Prevailing Through Landpower" highlights the critical role of land forces in the Indo-Pacific region, particularly emphasising the Army's focus on deterrence through readiness and partnerships in preserving peace, stability and security.

In attendance to officiate LANPAC 2025 was General Ronald P. Clark, Commanding General of the United States Army Pacific (USARPAC). In his keynote address, he emphasised the pivotal role of land power in ensuring security and deterring aggression within the Indo-Pacific region. He also highlighted that a strong strategic land power network grounded in trust is critical as is interoperability with other nations.

The RBLF delegation also attended an academic forum related to security and defence with various topics of discussion being explored such as joint force readiness, and multinational training. The RBLF Acting Commander also held courtesy calls with Lieutenant General Joel B. Vowell, Deputy Commanding General of the USARPAC, and Major General Rose King, Chief of New Zealand Army, to discuss strategic issues and explore potential future cooperation. In addition, the delegation had the opportunity to visit the latest defence technology exposition and attended the official dinner in conjunction with the opening of LANPAC.

LANPAC is a professional platform aimed to bring defence leaders, academic institutions, and non-governmental organisations to build trust, exchange ideas and promote multilateral dialogue and integration across the region. The RBLF participation in this event demonstrates the Royal Brunei Armed Forces' continuous efforts in strengthening strategic networks and enhancing cooperation towards supporting defence diplomacy efforts, which is one of the three main pillars of the Ministry of Defence.

PEMANGKU PEMERINTAH TDDB MENGHADIRI SIMPOSIUM DAN EKSPO LAND FORCES OF THE PACIFIC 2025

HONOLULU, Khamis, 15 Mei 2025 – Delegasi Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB) yang diketuai oleh Kolonel Muhammad Wata bin Abdullah Awat, Pemangku Pemerintah TDDB telah menghadiri Simposium dan Ekspo Land Forces of the Pacific (LANPAC) ke-12 di Honolulu, Hawaii, Amerika Syarikat. Acara tersebut diadakan dari 13 hingga 15 Mei 2025 yang melibatkan penyertaan lebih 33 negara di bawah anjuran The Association of the United States Army (AUSA). Tema tahun ini ialah “Prevailing Through Landpower" yang menekankan peranan penting tentera darat di rantau Indo-Pasifik, khususnya usaha ketenteraan dalam memperkukuh keupayaan pencegahan melalui kesiapsiagaan serta jalinan kerjasama demi mengekalkan keamanan, kestabilan dan keselamatan serantau.

Hadir bagi merasmikan LANPAC 2025 ialah Jeneral Ronald P. Clark, Commanding General of the United States Army Pacific (USARPAC). Dalam ucaptamanya, beliau menekankan peranan penting kuasa darat dalam memastikan keselamatan dan menghalang pencerobohan di rantau Indo-Pasifik. Beliau turut menyatakan bahawa rangkaian strategik yang kukuh berteraskan kepercayaan adalah kritikal, begitu juga dengan interoperabiliti bersama negara-negara lain.

Delegasi TDDB turut menghadiri forum akademik berkaitan keselamatan dan pertahanan yang membincangkan pelbagai topik seperti kesiapsiagaan angkatan bersama dan latihan pelbagai hala. Pemangku Pemerintah TDDB juga telah mengadakan kunjungan hormat kepada Leftenan Jeneral Joel B. Vowell, Timbalan Pemerintah USARPAC, dan Mejar Jeneral Rose King, Panglima Tentera Darat New Zealand, bagi membincangkan isu-isu strategik dan meneroka potensi kerjasama masa hadapan. Selain itu, delegasi TDDB berpeluang melawat ruang ekspo teknologi pertahanan terkini serta turut menghadiri majlis makan malam rasmi sempena pembukaan LANPAC.

LANPAC merupakan platform profesional yang bertujuan untuk menghimpunkan pemimpin-pemimpin pertahanan, institusi akademik, dan pertubuhan bukan kerajaan bagi mengukuhkan kepercayaan, bertukar pandangan serta menggalakkan dialog dan integrasi pelbagai hala. Penyertaan TDDB dalam acara ini mencerminkan usaha berterusan Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei dalam memperkukuh rangkaian strategik serta meningkatkan peluang kerjasama ke arah mendokong usaha diplomasi pertahanan iaitu salah satu daripada tiga tonggak utama Kementerian Pertahanan.
