BERAKAS GARRISON, Monday, 7th April 2025 - Colonel Muhammad Wata bin Abdullah Awat, Acting Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) received a courtesy call from Colonel Peter Chee, the outgoing Defence Adviser Republic of Singapore to Brunei Darussalam held at the RBLF Headquarters. Also in attendance was Colonel Steven Ng Lai Khim, the incoming Defence Adviser.
During the call, RBLF Acting Commander expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Colonel Peter Chee for his continuous efforts and contributions in facilitating the cooperation between the RBLF and the Singapore Army throughout his tenure as the Defence Adviser since 2021. Colonel Peter Chee then expressed his appreciation towards the RBLF for the support in enhancing the close bilateral defence relations between the two armies. Both sides also reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen the existing military interactions and engagements particularly in exercises, courses, trainings as well as formal visits.
The Acting Commander of RBLF also took the opportunity to congratulate the incoming Defence Adviser and hope that both armies will continue to work together towards building upon the excellent defence relations between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Singapore.
PEMANGKU PEMERINTAH TDDB TERIMA KUNJUNGAN PERPISAHAN DARIPADA PENASIHAT PERTAHANAN REPUBLIK SINGAPURA KE NEGARA BRUNEI DARUSSALAM
BERAKAS GARISON, Isnin, 7 April 2025 – Kolonel Muhammad Wata bin Abdullah Awat Pemangku Pemerintah Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB) menerima kunjungan perpisahan daripada Kolonel Peter Chee, Penasihat Pertahanan Republik Singapura ke Negara Brunei Darussalam. Turut hadir ialah Kolonel Steven Ng Lai Khim, Penasihat Pertahanan yang baru.
Semasa kunjungan tersebut, Pemangku Pemerintah TDDB merakamkan setinggi-tinggi penghargaan kepada Kolonel Peter Chee atas usaha dan sumbangan berterusan beliau dalam memudahkan kerjasama antara TDDB dan Tentera Darat Singapura sepanjang tempoh perkhidmatan beliau sebagai Penasihat Pertahanan sejak 2021. Kolonel Peter Chee kemudiannya merakamkan penghargaan kepada pihak TDDB atas sokongan dalam memperkukuhkan hubungan dua hala antara kedua-dua tentera darat. Kedua-dua pihak juga mengesahkan komitmen bersama untuk meningkatkan interaksi dan penglibatan ketenteraan yang sedia ada khususnya dalam eksesais, kursus, latihan serta lawatan rasmi.
Pemangku Pemerintah TDDB turut menyampaikan ucapan tahniah kepada Penasihat Pertahanan yang baru dan berharap kedua-dua tentera darat akan terus bekerjasama ke arah membina hubungan pertahanan yang erat antara Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Republik Singapura.
