REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE, Tuesday, 23rd April 2024 – Brigadier General Haji Mohammad Shanonnizam bin Sulaiman, Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) and delegation have made an introductory visit to the Republic of Singapore from 22nd April to 24th April 2024.
Upon arrival at the Ministry of Defence Singapore, the Commander of the RBLF inspected the Guard of Honour comprising personnel of the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Army. This is followed with a courtesy call to Major General David Neo Chin Wee, Chief of Army, SAF and SAF Army Brief. Commander of RBLF then proceeded with other courtesy calls to His Excellency Dr Ng Eng Hen, Minister of Defence Republic of Singapore and His Excellency Vice Admiral Aaron Beng, Chief of Defence Force, Singapore Armed Forces.
As part of the itinerary, the Commander of the RBLF visited the Motorised Infantry Training Institute (MTI), where he was welcomed by Colonel Wong Shi Ming, Commander of the 9th Division, Singapore Army, at Kranji Camp III, Republic of Singapore. The visit to MTI commenced with a group photo session, followed by unit brief and static display of the Belrex Protected Combat Support Vehicle (PCSV) and variety of SAF's Army drones. The Commander of the RBLF had the opportunity to experience SAF Army's Terrex hands-on driving which concluded with presentation of the Terex Driving License and exchange of mementos. A separate spouse programme was also arranged for the spouse of the Commander of RBLF to visit the National Gallery and ArtScience Museum.
The Commander RBLF'S introductory visit to Republic of Singapore and SAF Army underscores the close and longstanding relationship between Brunei Darussalam and Republic of Singapore, while emphasising their commitments to further enhance the bilateral relations between the two armies.
PEMERINTAH TENTERA DARAT DIRAJA BRUNEI MENGADAKAN LAWATAN PENGENALAN KE REPUBLIK SINGAPURA
REPUBLIK SINGAPURA, Selasa, 23 April 2024 - Brigedier Jeneral Haji Mohammad Shanonnizam bin Sulaiman, Pemerintah Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB) dan rombongan telah membuat lawatan pengenalan ke Republik Singapura bermula dari 22 April hingga 24 April 2024.
Sejurus ketibaan di Kementerian Pertahanan Singapura, Pemerintah TDDB dibawa telah memeriksa Kawalan Kehormatan yang terdiri daripada anggota Tentera Darat Angkatan Bersenjata Republik Singapura (ABRS). Ini diikuti dengan kunjungan hormat kepada Mejar Jeneral David Neo Chin Wee, Panglima Tentera Darat, ABRS dan mendengarkan taklimat Tentera Darat ABRS. Pemerintah TDDB seterusnya membuat kunjungan hormat kepada Tuan yang Terutama Dr Ng Eng Hen, Menteri Pertahanan, Republik Singapura dan Tuan yang Terutama Vice Admiral Aaron Beng, Ketua Turus Pertahanan Angkatan Bersenjata, Republik Singapura.
Semasa lawatan tersebut, Pemerintah TDDB telah berkesempatan melawat Motorised Infantry Training Institute (MTI) yang disambut oleh Kolonel Wong Shi Ming, Pemerintah Divisyen ke-9, Tentera Darat Singapura, di Kem Kranji III, Republik Singapura. Lawatan dimulakan dengan sesi gambar ramai dan diikuti dengan taklimat pengenalan MTI. Seterusnya Pemerintah TDDB dibawa bagi melihat pameran statik Belrex Protected Combat Support Vehicle (PCSV) dan pelbagai jenis dron Tentera Darat Republik Singapura. Pemerintah TDDB juga berpeluang untuk mengemudi kenderaan Terrex Tentera Darat, Republik Singapura dan diakhiri dengan penyampaian Lesen Memandu Terrex kepada Pemerintah TDDB serta pertukaran cenderahati. Aturcara berasingan bagi Isteri kepada Pemerintah TDDB juga telah diadakan iaitu lawatan ke Galeri Nasional dan Muzium ArtScience.
Lawatan pengenalan Pemerintah TDDB ini mencerminkan persahabatan yang erat di antara Brunei Darussalam dan Republik Singapura yang telah lama terjalin dan komitmen bersama untuk terus meningkatkan hubungan dua hala di antara kedua buah angkatan tentera darat.
