PENANJONG GARRISON, Wednesday 06th March 2024 – The closing ceremony of the Platoon Sergeant Course 2023, and 2IC Section Course 2/2023 was held today at the Parade Square of the School of Infantry Royal Brunei Land Force (SOI RBLF). Both courses were conducted from 8th January 2024 until 8th March 2024 and saw participation of a total of 63 personnel.
Present as the Guest of Honour was Major Faizal Azly bin Rosli, Commanding Officer, SOI RBLF. Also, in attendance were invited officers from the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) and instructors from SOI RBLF.
The event commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah followed by the course summary delivered by Corporal Muhammad Wafiq Hidayatullah bin Mohamad Joferi, Conducting Instructor of the course.
Acknowledging outstanding achievements, Corporal Mohd Yusri bin Saidi from SOI RBLF was awarded the Best Practical for the Platoon Sergeant Course, while Corporal Ali Umar bin Asmalee of the Royal Guards Regiment (RGdR) RBLF received the Best Physical Training accolade. Corporal Mohammad Azwan bin Haji Mat Bakar of the Royal Brunei Malay Reserve Regiment was honoured with both the Best Theory and Best Overall Student titles.
For the 2IC Section Course, Private Abdul Azim Syafi'i bin Dullah from the First Battalion RBLF (1Bn RBLF) emerged as the Best Overall Student. Private Md Wafiq Iqillah bin Md Khirul Anwar from the Third Battalion (3Bn RBLF) was recognized for the Best Practical, while Private Md Ridhwan Firdaus bin Rilly of RGdR RBLF attained the Best Physical Training award. Private Hamizan bin Hasman from the 3Bn RBLF was awarded the Best Theory distinction.
Culminating the event, the Guest of Honour delivered his speech where he emphasised the importance of basic military skills to be executed with proper technique, tactics, and procedures. He also highlighted the pivotal role of effective command and control competency, urging participants to prioritize the welfare, discipline, operational readiness, and training of their subordinates to uphold operational excellence.
MAJLIS PENUTUP KURSUS TEMPUR PLATUN SARJAN SESI 2023 DAN KURSUS PENOLONG KETUA SEKSYEN SIRI 2/2023
PENANJONG GARISON, Rabu, 6 Mac 2024 – Sekolah Infantri Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (SI TDDB) telah mengadakan Majlis Penutup Kursus bagi gabungan Kursus Tempur Platun Sarjan Sesi 2023 dan Kursus Penolong Ketua Seksyen Siri 2/2023 di Padang Kawad, SI TDDB. Kedua kursus berkenaan telah diadakan secara serentak bermula dari 08 Januari 2024 hingga 08 Mac 2024 dengan penyertaan seramai 63 anggota.
Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat Majlis ialah Mejar Faizal Azly bin Rosli, Pegawai Pemerintah SI TDDB. Turut hadir ke majlis tersebut ialah pegawai-pegawai jemputan daripada Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei dan jurulatih SI TDDB.
Acara dimulakan dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah diikuti dengan ringkasan kursus daripada Korporal Muhammad Wafiq Hidayatullah bin Mohamad Joferi selaku pengendali jurulatih bagi kursus tersebut.
Bagi pengiktirafan Kursus Tempur Platun Sarjan Sesi 2023, Penuntut Terbaik Amali disandang oleh Koperal Mohd Yusri bin Saidi dari unit SI TDDB. Penuntut Terbaik Jasmani disandang oleh Koperal Ali Umar bin Asmalee dari unit Rejimen Pengawal Diraja TDDB (RPD TDDB). Manakala, Penuntut Terbaik Teori dan Penuntut Terbaik Keseluruhan dianugerahkan kepada Koperal Mohammad Azwan bin Haji Mat Bakar dari unit Askar Simpanan Melayu Diraja Brunei.
Bagi Kursus Penolong Ketua Seksyen Siri 2/2023, Penuntut Terbaik Jasmani disandang oleh Soldadu Md Ridhwan Firdaus bin Rilly dari RPD TDDB dan Penuntut Terbaik Amali disandang oleh Soldadu Md Wafiq Iqillah Bin Md Khirul Anwar dari Batalion Ketiga (3Bn) TDDB. Manakala, Penuntut Terbaik Teori Soldadu Hamizan Bin Hasman dari 3Bn TDDB dan Penuntut Terbaik Keseluruhan telah dianugerahkan kepada Soldadu Abdul Azim Syafi'i bin Dullah dari Batalion Pertama TDDB.
Pada akhir acara, Tetamu Kehormat telah dijemput bagi menyampaikan ucapan di mana antara lain beliau menekankan kepentingan kemahiran asas ketenteraan untuk dilaksanakan dengan teknik, taktik, dan prosedur yang sempurna. Di samping itu, beliau juga menekankan nilai penting kecekapan perintah dan kawalan yang berkesan kerana Platun Sarjan dan Penolong Ketua Seksyen memainkan peranan utama dalam mengetuai anggota bawahan dalam pelbagai operasi. Beliau turut mengingatkan bahawa mereka hendaklah menjalankan tugas dengan baik dalam menguruskan kebajikan, disiplin dan latihan anggota yang berada di bawah jagaan mereka untuk sentiasa mengekalkan tahap kesiapsiagaan, kesediaan dan kecekapan yang tinggi bagi melaksanakan sesuatu operasi dengan baik.
