BERAKAS GARRISON, Wednesday, 24 January 2024 - Brigadier General Haji Mohammad Shanonnizam bin Sulaiman, Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) received a courtesy call today from Colonel Angelo Gerrard P. Ariles, the Philippine Defence and Armed Forces Attache to Brunei Darussalam, at RBLF Headquarters today.
During the call, the Commander of RBLF warmly welcomed Colonel Angelo and expressed gratitude for his contributions. The courtesy call served as a farewell as Colonel Angelo, who has held the position of Defence Attache since 1st February 2021, will conclude his tenure on 31st January 2024.
Throughout his term, Colonel Angelo played a pivotal role in strengthening the bilateral relationship between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of the Philippines, actively supporting and leading initiatives such as bilateral visits, training programmes, and collaborative efforts of the Brunei-Philippines Army Working Group.

BERAKAS GARISON, Rabu, 24 Januari 2024 - Brigedier Jeneral Haji Mohammad Shanonnizam bin Sulaiman Pemerintah Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB) menerima kunjungan hormat pada hari ini daripada Kolonel Angelo Gerrard P. Ariles, Atase Pertahanan dan Angkatan Tentera Filipina ke Negara Brunei Darussalam, yang bertempat di Markas TDDB.
Semasa kunjungan tersebut, Pemerintah TDDB mengalu-alukan ketibaan Kolonel Angelo dan merakamkan penghargaan atas sumbangannya. Kunjungan Hormat bertujuan sebagai perpisahan kepada Kolonel Angelo, yang telah memegang jawatan Atase Pertahanan sejak 1 Februari 2021, dan akan menamatkan perkhidmatannya pada 31 Januari 2024.
Sepanjang tempoh perkhidmatannya, Kolonel Angelo telah memainkan peranan penting dalam mengukuhkan hubungan dua hala antara Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Republik Filipina, dengan menyokong dan memimpin inisiatif sepertia lawatan dua hala, program latihan, dan usaha bersama Brunei-Philippines Army Working Group.
