SUNGAI AKAR CAMP, Thursday, 16 March 2023 – The Royal Guards Regiment Royal Brunei Land Force (RGdR RBLF) conducted the Commanding Officer's Challenge (CO's Challenge) as the opening of the Regiment Competition for 2023 held at Sungai Akar Camp.
Present to officiate the competition was Major Norranellwi bin Siaran/Searan, Commanding Officer of RGdR RBLF. Also present were officers and personnel of RGdR RBLF.
The event began with a briefing delivered by the coordinating officer, Lieutenant Abdul Mu'áz bin Haji Zaidin followed by a group photo session and the departure of the competing section at the starting line.
The Regiment Competition will be carried out in phases that consists of multiple activities such as CO's Challenge, Parade Competition, Platoon Competition, and Section Competition, which will be coordinated by every company and conducted throughout 2023. The first phase of the competition is the CO's Challenge which involves the best sections representing each company that would go through eight types of obstacles at a total distance of 4.2km.
The aim of this regiment competition is to give exposure for RGdR RBLF personnel to be capable and adaptable infantrymen while carrying out their duties as royal guards.
RPD TDDB MERASMIKAN PERTANDINGAN REJIMEN 2023
PERKHEMAHAN SUNGAI AKAR, Khamis, 16 Mac 2023 – Rejimen Pengawal Diraja Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (RPD TDDB) telah merasmikan Perlawanan Rejimen bagi tahun 2023 peringkat RPD TDDB dengan bermulanya Cabaran Pegawai Pemerintah bertempat di Perkhemahan Sungai Akar.
Hadir bagi merasmikan perlawanan tersebut ialah Mejar Norranellwi bin Siaran/Searan, Pegawai Pemerintah RPD TDDB. Turut hadir ialah pegawai-pegawai dan anggota RPD TDDB.
Acara dimulakan dengan penyampaian taklimat perlawanan oleh Leftenan Abdul Mu'áz bin Haji Zaidin, Pegawai Pengendali perlawanan, diikuti dengan sesi bergambar ramai dan pelepasan seksyen yang bertanding di garisan permulaan.
Perlawanan Rejimen ini akan dilaksanakan oleh setiap kompeni RPD TDDB di sepanjang tahun 2023 yang mana ia akan dibuat mengikut fasa dan beberapa aktiviti yang merangkumi Perlawanan Cabaran Pegawai Pemerintah, Perlawanan Kawad, Perlawanan Platun dan Perlawanan Seksyen. Melalui pertandingan pertama iaitu Cabaran Pegawai Pemerintah, ia melibatkan wakil daripada seksyen terbaik di setiap kompeni yang mengharungi lapan jenis cabaran sejauh 4.2km.
Tujuan utama perlawanan rejimen ini adalah untuk memberi pendedahan (exposure) agar semua anggota RPD berkebolehan (capable) dan beradaptasi (adaptable) semasa tugas pengawal diraja dan tugas utama infantri
