REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE, Friday, 27th February 2026 – Major Muhd. Zulwafi bin Hj M. Suhaili, Officer Commanding of 'C' Company, Second Battalion Royal Brunei Land Forces (2Bn RBLF), has completed the 87th Battalion Tactics Course (BTC) at the Army Officers' Advanced School (AOAS), Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Advanced Schools, SAFTI Military Institute (SAFTI MI) in the Republic of Singapore. The seven-week course was conducted from 13th January to 27th February 2026. The closing event was officiated by Major General Cai Dexian, the Chief of Singapore Army.
A total of 89 officers had attended the course, including three international officers from Brunei Darussalam, the Republic of Indonesia and Malaysia. The course comprises Map Planning Tutorials and Exercises, as well as Wargaming Exercises, and are designed to teach course participants to be effective Battalion Staff. On top of operational military knowledge, seminars were also conducted to enhance the course participants' thinking on Fighting Smart and Control of Operations. The course is aimed at training participants in planning and executing Battalion-level combined arms operations, with emphasis on tactics, techniques and procedures. This will provide them with the foundation for the next stage of training and facilitate Inter-Service integration.

REPUBLIK SINGAPURA, Jumaat, 27 Februari 2026 – Mejar Muhd. Zulwafi bin Hj M. Suhaili, Pegawai Memerintah Kompeni 'C', Batalion Kedua Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB), telah menamatkan Kursus Taktik Batalion ke-87 (Battalion Tactics Course – BTC) bertempat di Army Officers' Advanced School (AOAS), SAF Advanced Schools, SAFTI Military Institute (SAFTI MI), di Republik Singapura. Kursus selama tujuh minggu tersebut telah dilaksanakan bermula pada 13 Januari hingga 27 Februari 2026. Acara penutup telah disempurnakan oleh Mejar Jeneral Cai Dexian, Panglima Tentera Darat Republik Singapura.
Seramai 89 pegawai telah mengikuti kursus tersebut termasuk tiga pegawai antarabangsa dari Negara Brunei Darussalam, Republik Indonesia dan Malaysia. Kursus ini merangkumi Tutorial dan Latihan Perancangan Peta serta Latihan Wargaming yang direka untuk mengajar peserta kursus menjadi Staf Batalion yang efektif. Selain pengetahuan ketenteraan operasi, seminar juga telah diadakan untuk meningkatkan pemikiran peserta kursus dalam Berperang Secara Pintar dan Kawalan Operasi. Kursus ini adalah bertujuan untuk melatih peserta dalam merancang dan melaksanakan operasi gabungan di peringkat Batalion, dengan penekanan kepada taktik, teknik dan prosedur. Ini akan memberikan mereka asas untuk peringkat latihan seterusnya dan memudahkan bagi integrasi antara unit angkatan tentera.
