KAMPONG LUAGAN DUDOK, TUTONG, Tuesday, 27 January 2026 – As part of the 'Hearts and Minds' activity under Exercise SEMANGAT WAJA (XSW) 08/2026, the Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) held a handover ceremony of a wooden bridge project, which took place at Jalan Sebatang Sentol, Kampong Luagan Dudok, Tutong. The ceremony was officiated by Colonel Mohammad Fakarudin Zuraidie bin Haji Ramli, Field Commander of RBLF. Also in attendance were Awangku Arif Anuar bin Pengiran Haji Ahmad, Acting Tutong District Officer, the Penghulu of Mukim Keriam, the Village Head of Kampong Luagan Dudok, a representative from the Ministry of Home Affairs, and the Commanding Officer of the Second Battalion (2Bn) RBLF.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat, followed by the handover of the project to the Acting Tutong District Officer and Awang Ludin bin Haji Besar, whose residence was affected by flooding that destroyed the primary access bridge, which led to an unsafe route, restricting the family's movement, thereby disrupting access to essential daily services. The ceremony concluded with viewing the project site and a group photo session.
Continuous heavy rainfall, driven by active monsoon conditions, has caused flash floods and hit several access and residential areas across Brunei Darussalam. The RBLF has swiftly provided Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) efforts to the flood-affected area in the Tutong District through the deployment of Assault Pioneer Platoon from the 2Bn RBLF. The relief efforts include clearing debris from the damaged structure and conducting engineering work to construct a new durable bridge, with construction materials provided by the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) and the Tutong District Office, thereby restoring safe pedestrian access for the affected family.
The conduct of this 'Hearts and Minds' project, held from 21 January 2026 until 26 January 2026, is one of RBLF's initiatives to strengthen ties between the RBLF and the local community, and further support the social well-being through welfare activities. It also underscores the RBAF's continued commitment to making a positive contribution to national development and unity.

KAMPONG LUAGAN DUDOK, TUTONG, Selasa, 27 Januari 2026 – Sebagai sebahagian daripada aktiviti 'Hearts and Minds' di bawah Eksesais SEMANGAT WAJA (XSW) 08/2026, Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB) telah mengadakan Majlis Penyerahan projek jambatan kayu, yang berlangsung di Jalan Sebatang Sentol, Kampong Luagan Dudok, Tutong. Majlis tersebut telah disempurnakan oleh Kolonel Mohammad Fakarudin Zuraidie bin Haji Ramli, Pemerintah Medan TDDB. Turut hadir ialah Pemangku Pegawai Daerah Tutong, Awangku Arif Anuar bin Pengiran Haji Ahmad, Penghulu Mukim Keriam, Ketua Kampong Luagan Dudok, wakil Kementerian Hal Ehwal Dalam Negeri, dan Pegawai Pemerintah Batalion Kedua (2Bn) TDDB.
Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah dan Doa Selamat, diikuti dengan penyerahan projek kepada Pemangku Pegawai Daerah Tutong dan Awang Ludin bin Haji Besar, yang kediamannya terjejas akibat banjir dan memusnahkan jambatan laluan utama, sekali gus menjadikan laluan tersebut tidak selamat, menghadkan pergerakan serta menjejaskan akses kepada keperluan asas harian. Majlis diakhiri dengan tinjauan ke tapak projek dan sesi bergambar ramai.
Hujan lebat yang berterusan dan dipengaruhi oleh keadaan monsun aktif, telah menyebabkan banjir kilat dan melanda beberapa kawasan akses dan kediaman di Negara Brunei Darussalam. TDDB seterusnya telah memberikan Bantuan Kemanusiaan dan Bencana (HADR) kepada kawasan yang dilanda banjir di Daerah Tutong dengan mengaturgerakan Platun Rintis Serang daripada 2Bn TDDB. Usaha bantuan termasuk membersihkan sisa struktur jambatan yang rosak dan melaksanakan kerja-kerja kejuruteraan bagi membina jambatan baharu yang lebih kukuh dan tahan lama, dengan bahan binaan disediakan oleh Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei dan Pejabat Daerah Tutong, sekali gus memulihkan akses pejalan kaki yang selamat untuk keluarga terbabit.
Pengendalian Projek 'Hearts and Minds' ini, yang diadakan bermula dari 21 Januari 2026 hingga 26 Januari 2026, merupakan salah satu inisiatif TDDB untuk mengeratkan hubungan antara TDDB dan masyarakat setempat, dan seterusnya mendokong kesejahteraan sosial melalui aktiviti kebajikan. Inisiatif ini turut menekankan komitmen berterusan ABDB dalam memberi sumbangan positif kepada perpaduan dan pembangunan negara.
