THE 32ND ASEAN ARMIES RIFLE MEET OFFICIALLY KICKED OFF

THE REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES, Thursday, 14th November 2024 – The 32nd ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet (AARM) 2024 has commenced in a ceremony held at the Philippine Army Marksmanship Training Facility in Camp O'Donnell, Capas, Tarlac, the Republic of the Philippines. The ceremony began with a march past of the shooting contingents, followed by the flag hoisting. Officiating the 32nd AARM was Major General Leodevic B. Guinid, Vice Commander of the Philippine Army, who emphasised the significance of AARM as a platform for strengthening regional cooperation during the opening. Colonel Muhammad Wata bin Abdullah Awat, Deputy Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Force, together with the other ASEAN Armies representative had attended the ceremony.

The annual rifle meet brings together the ASEAN region's finest military marksmen to compete in various categories such as rifle, pistol, carbine and machine gun. The competition is aimed not only to strengthen solidarity and friendship among militaries of ASEAN member states but it also offers an opportunity to exchange experiences, promote cooperation, and contribute towards maintaining regional peace and stability.


KEJOHANAN MENEMBAK TENTERA DARAT ASEAN KE-32 DENGAN RASMINYA BERMULA

REPUBLIK FILIPINA, Khamis, 14 November 2024 – Kejohanan Menembak Tentera Darat ASEAN (ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet, AARM) kali ke-32 telah dimulakan dalam satu majlis yang diadakan di Fasiliti Latihan Menembak Tentera Darat Filipina di Capas, Tarlac, Republik Filipina. Acara dimulakan dengan perbarisan berjalan lalu daripada kontinjen-kontinjen menembak, diikuti dengan upacara menaikkan bendera. Merasmikan AARM ke-32 ialah Mejar Jeneral Leodevic B. Guinid, Timbalan Pemerintah Tentera Darat Filipina, yang mana beliau menekankan kepentingan AARM sebagai platform untuk mengukuhkan kerjasama serantau semasa acara pembukaan. Kolonel Muhammad Wata bin Abdullah Awat, Timbalan Pemerintah Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei, bersama-sama wakil Tentera Darat ASEAN yang lain telah menghadiri majlis tersebut.

Kejohanan menembak tahunan ini menghimpunkan penembak-penembak tentera rantau ASEAN yang terbaik untuk bersaing dalam pelbagai kategori seperti repal, pistol, carbine dan machine gun. Pertandingan tersebut bukan sahaja bertujuan untuk mengukuhkan perpaduan dan persahabatan di kalangan tentera negara-negara ASEAN, tetapi juga menawarkan peluang untuk bertukar pengalaman, menggalakkan kerjasama, serta menyumbang ke arah mengekalkan keamanan dan kestabilan serantau.
