PENANJONG GARRISON, Friday, 9th August 2024 – Brigadier General Haji Mohammad Shanonnizam bin Sulaiman, Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) visited the All Arms Staff and Tactics Course (AASTC) 2024 at the Signal Training Wing, RBLF School of Infantry RBLF (SOI RBLF), Penanjong Garrison. A total of seven officers including one officer from the Malaysian Army are attending the course.
Upon arrival, the Commander of RBLF was welcomed by Major Faizal Azly bin Haji Rosli, Commanding Officer of the School of Infantry RBLF. Also in attendance were Colonel Haji Nor Azizi bin Abdullah, Malaysian Defence Adviser to Brunei Darussalam and RBLF Senior Officers and Officers. The session commenced with a welcoming remark by Major Pg Haji Mohd Razif bin Pg Haji Idros, acting Officer Commanding of the Officers Development Wing, followed by CPX presentation from the course participants. The CPX assessed the participants' ability to manage tactical information, evaluate their critical thinking abilities into operational planning and one of most critical tasks is to develop a common operating picture. The session has indeed provided a valuable opportunity for course participants to learn and gain new perspectives through an interactive question and answer session with the Commander of RBLF.
Later in the afternoon, a hiking at Sg Basong Recreational Park, Tutong was held as part of the interaction activity between the Commander of RBLF and the AASTC course participants and Directing staff of SOI RBLF.
LAWATAN PEMERINTAH TENTERA DARAT DIRAJA BRUNEI KE KURSUS ALL ARMS STAFF AND TACTICS COURSE
PENANJONG GARISON, Jumaat, 9 Ogos 2024 – Brigedier Jeneral Haji Mohammad Shanonnizam bin Sulaiman, Pemerintah Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB) telah membuat lawatan ke Kursus All Arms Staff and Tactics Course (AASTC) 2024 bertempat di Cawangan Latihan Semboyan, Sekolah Infantri TDDB (SI TDDB), Penanjong Garison. Seramai tujuh pegawai termasuk seorang pegawai dari Tentera Darat Malaysia telah mengikuti kursus tersebut yang mana kini dalam minggu terakhir penilaian termasuk fasa Command Post Exercise (CPX).
Sejurus tiba, Pemerintah TDDB telah disambut oleh Mejar Faizal Azly bin Haji Rosli, Pegawai Pemerintah Sekolah Infantri, TDDB. Turut hadir ialah Kolonel Haji Nor Azizi bin Abdullah, Penasihat Pertahanan Malaysia ke Negara Brunei Darussalam, Pegawai-pegawai Kanan dan Pegawai-pegawai TDDB. Sesi dimulakan dengan ucapan alu-aluan oleh Mejar Pg Haji Mohd Razif bin Pg Haji Idros, Pemangku Pegawai Memerintah Cawangan Perkembangan Pegawai, diikuti dengan taklimat CPX daripada peserta kursus. CPX tersebut menilai keupayaan peserta dalam mengurus maklumat taktikal, daya pemikiran yang kritikal ke dalam rancangan operasi dan salah satu tugas paling kritikal adalah untuk membangunkan gambaran operasi yang sama. Sesi tersebut setentunya memberikan peluang berharga kepada peserta-peserta kursus untuk belajar dan memperolehi perspektif baharu melalui sesi soal jawab interaktif bersama Pemerintah TDDB.
Pada sebelah petangnya, sesi riadah mendaki bukit di Taman Rekreasi Sg Basong, Tutong telah diadakan sebagai sebahagian daripada aktiviti interaksi di antara Pemerintah TDDB dan peserta kursus AASTC serta Directing Staff SI TDDB.
