BERAKAS GARRISON, Thursday, 20 May 2021 – The Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) participated in the Pacific Amphibious Leaders Symposium 2021 (PALS-21) hosted virtually by the United States Marine Corps Force, Pacific at RBLF Headquarters. A total of 24 countries participated in the symposium.
Present as representatives for the RBLF was Lieutenant Colonel Md Roasri Erwan bin Haji Tasrif, Assistant Chief of Staff Operations RBLF and Lieutenant Colonel Pg Haji Nazri Amir bin Pg DP Haji Md Zain, Assistant Chief of Staff Training RBLF.
During the symposium, three topics were discussed with the first topic on the 'Role of amphibious forces against Non-traditional threats in the Indo-Pacific' presented by the Republic of Korea Marine Corps. The second topic 'Regional Interoperability' was presented by the Australian Army whereas the topic of 'Force Development' was presented by the Philippines Marine Corps and Japan Ground Self-Defense Force. The symposium concluded with closing remarks from Lieutenant General Steven R. Rudder, Commanding General United States Marine Corps Force, Pacific.
The symposium aims to discuss and share ideas among Indo-Pacific countries on collective challenges in the maritime domain, from force modernisation to regional cooperation and interoperability among nations with common interests in the region.
TENTERA DARAT DIRAJA BRUNEI SERTAI PACIFIC AMPHIBIOUS LEADERS' SYMPOSIUM 2021 SECARA DI ATAS TALIAN
BERAKAS GARISON, Khamis, 20 Mei 2021 – Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei telah menyertai Pacific Amphibious Leaders Symposium 2021 (PALS-21) secara di atas talian yang dihoskan oleh United States Marine Corps Force, Pacific bertempat di Markas Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei. Sebanyak 24 buah Negara telah ikut serta dalam simposium tersebut.
Hadir selaku wakil TDDB di Simposium ini ialah Leftenan Kolonel Md Roasri Erwan bin Haji Tasrif, Penolong Ketua Staf Gerakan TDDB dan Leftenan Kolonel Pg Haji Nazri Amir bin Pg DP Haji Md Zain, Penolong Ketua Staf Latihan TDDB.
Semasa Simposium ini berlangsung, 3 topik telah dibincangkan iaitu Role of Amphibious Forces against Non-traditional Threats in the Indo-Pacific disampaikan oleh Republic of Korea Marine Corps sebagai topik pertama, Regional Interoperability daripada Australian Army topik kedua dan Force Development dibentangkan oleh Philippines Marine Corps dan Japan Ground Self-Defense Force sebagai topik ketiga.
Tujuan Simposium ini diadakan adalah untuk membincangkan dan berkongsi idea di antara negara Indo-Pacific dalam meningkatkan kerjasama dan interoperabiliti di serantau ini untuk mempertahankan Maritime Domain pada masa sekarang. Persidangan di akhiri dengan ucapan penutup daripada Leftenan Jeneral Steven R. Rudder, Commanding General United States Marine Corps, Pacific.
