LUMUT CAMP, Friday, 04 November 2022 - The Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) celebrated its 61st anniversary today with a military parade involving 1,206 personnel at the Third Battalion RBLF (3Bn RBLF), Lumut Camp.
The Commander of RBLF, Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Saifulrizal bin Abdul Latif, received the honourary salute from the parade, which was led by Major Faizal Azly bin Haji Rosli, Acting Commanding Officer of the School of Infantry RBLF. This was followed by an inspection of the parade and later proceeded with a speech delivered by the Commander of RBLF. Also in attendance were the Deputy Commander of RBLF, Field Commander of RBLF, and Senior Land Force Officers from the Ministry of Defence and Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF).
The Commander of RBLF in his speech, reiterated the pledge of unwavering loyalty to His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and reflected how RBLF had reached its 61 years of glory, continuously evolving throughout the years under the guidance of His Majesty. This can be witnessed from RBLF's pioneering moment to its era of development and the era of modernisation while keeping in line with RBLF's vision of "A Capable and Adaptable Army".
With the consent and approval of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, the Commander of RBLF announced that the structuring of the Combined Arms Battalion (CABn), Royal Guards Regiment RBLF, Dental Services RBLF, Medical and Health Services RBLF has officially been approved.
He also highlighted RBLF's achievements throughout the year, followed by the "Commander's Guide" for the year 2023 which he hopes to be an inspiration and a guide for all levels within RBLF in carrying out the tasks and responsibilities entrusted to them. The "Commander's Guide" for RBLF includes the Improvement of Regimentation, Improving the Quality of Life, Professional Development, and Robust Management.
Amongst The RBLF's achievements highlighted by The Commander of RBLF include the consented Field Commander of the RBLF with the rank of Colonel, the establishment of Combat Boat Squadron and the Intelligence Troop RBLF. He noted that it is a milestone for the RBLF to pave way into the future planning through the Force Structure Review and Force 2035 of RBLF.
The Commander reminded all personnel to not be careless and complacent with the state of our environment and that we should always be alert and sensitive to current affairs. He further reiterated that all personnel of RBLF must not take the issue of safety and security lightly. In efforts to further strengthen RBLF, he again reminded that all personnel should always instill the spirit of accuracy and reflect the image of a professional military personnel.
Before concluding his speech, the Commander of RBLF conveyed his deepest appreciation to the Deputy Minister of Defence, the Commander of RBAF, the Former Commanders of RBAF, and the retired personnel of RBLF for their service and contribution over the years to RBLF. The Commander RBLF also thanked the family members of RBLF personnel and civilians who have provided their endless support as well as all RBLF personnel for their undivided devotion and sacrifice in carrying out their duties and responsibilities.
Following the Commander's speech, the ceremony continued with a badge presentation by the Commander to mark the initiation of the personnel from the Combined Arms Battalions (CABn) who were involved in the Exercise SEMANGAT BERSATU which was held from 11 October 2022 until 31 October 2022. This was followed by the pledge of the Land Force Oath from the Guard of Honour, the recital of Doa Selamat and a group photo.
The ceremony then proceeded to the Officers' Mess, Lumut Camp for the cake cutting to mark the 61st RBLF Anniversary before proceeding with refreshments and Closing Doa.
To commemorate and enliven the 61st RBLF Anniversary, various activities have been organised which included a Tahlil Ceremony at the Royal Mausoleum held on 27 October 2022 and Doa Kesyukuran Ceremony prayers held on 3 November 2022.
TENTERA DARAT DIRAJA BRUNEI MERAIKAN SAMBUTAN HARI ULANG TAHUN KE 61
PERKHEMAHAN LUMUT, Jumaat, 04 November 2022 – Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB) telah meraikan Hari Ulang Tahun penubuhannya ke 61 pada hari ini dengan upacara Kawalan Perbarisan yang terdiri daripada 1,206 anggota bertempat di Batalion Ketiga TDDB (3Bn TDDB), Perkhemahan Lumut.
Sejurus ketibaan, Brigedier Jeneral Dato Seri Pahlawan Saifulrizal bin Abdul Latif, Pemerintah TDDB menerima tabik hormat daripada Kawalan Perbarisan yang diketuai oleh Mejar Faizal Azly bin Haji Rosli, Pemangku Pegawai Pemerintah Sekolah Infantri TDDB. Upacara diteruskan dengan pemeriksaan perbarisan dan diikuti dengan perutusan yang disampaikan oleh Pemerintah TDDB. Turut hadir ialah Timbalan Pemerintah TDDB, Pemerintah Medan TDDB serta Pegawai-pegawai Kanan Tentera Darat dari Kementerian Pertahanan dan Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB).
Melalui ucapannya, Pemerintah TDDB melafazkan ikrar taat setia yang tidak berbelah bahagi kehadapan majlis Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan dan Yang Di-Pertuan Negara Brunei Darussalam sekaligus mengimbas kembali detik kegemilangan yang bersejarah bagi TDDB dalam meniti usianya 61 tahun di bawah naungan Baginda yang bijaksana demi memastikan TDDB terus berkembang maju dan pesat. Ini dibuktikan dari bermulanya detik perintis TDDB sehinggalah ke era pembangunan dan pemodenan selaras dengan visi TDDB iaitu "Tentera Darat yang berkemampuan dan beradaptasi".
Atas titah perkenan Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan dan Yang Di-Pertuan Negara Brunei Darussalam, penstrukturan Combined Arms Battalions (CABn), Rejimen Pengawal Diraja TDDB, Khidmat Pergigian TDDB, Khidmat Perubatan dan Kesihatan TDDB telah pun diluluskan secara rasminya.
Selain itu, Pemerintah TDDB juga mengongsikan pencapaian TDDB di sepanjang tahun 2022, diikuti dengan "Panduan Pemerintah" bagi tahun 2023 yang diharap dapat menjadi pembakar semangat serta panduan kepada semua lapisan warga TDDB dalam melaksanakan tugas dan tanggungjawab yang telah diamanahkan. "Panduan Pemerintah" itu termasuk Peningkatan Regimentasi, Peningkatan Kualiti Hidup, Peningkatan Profesionalisme Anggota dan Pengurusan Yang Mampan.
Di antara pencapaian TDDB tersebut ialah penauliahan bagi jawatan Pemerintah Medan TDDB yang berpangkat Kolonel, penubuhan Skuadron Bot Tempur dan Pasukan Perisikan TDDB. Beliau turut menekankan betapa pentingnya untuk merujuk Force Structure Review dan Force 2035 Tentera Darat dalam meneroka dan menentukan perancangan masa depan TDDB.
Di samping itu, Pemerintah TDDB terus mengingatkan semua anggota supaya tidak lalai dan leka dengan keadaan persekitaran masa kini dan hendaklah sentiasa berwaspada serta peka akan hal ehwal semasa juga tidak mengambil mudah isu keselamatan dan sekuriti. Dalam usaha memperkasakan TDDB, beliau sekali lagi mengingatkan agar seluruh anggota untuk sentiasa menanamkan semangat jitu dan mencerminkan identiti sebagai seorang anggota tentera yang profesional.
Sebelum mengakhiri ucapan, Pemerintah TDDB merakamkan setinggi-tinggi penghargaan kepada Timbalan Menteri Pertahanan, Pemerintah ABDB, Mantan Pemerintah ABDB dan warga TDDB yang telah bersara atas khidmat dan sumbangan mereka selama ini kepada TDDB. Pemerintah TDDB juga menyampaikan ucapan terima kasih kepada ahli keluarga anggota TDDB dan anggota awam yang sentiasa memberikan sokongan padu serta kepada seluruh warga TDDB di atas kesetiaan, kejujuran dan pengorbanan dalam berbakti menanai amanah.
Penyampaian lencana oleh Pemerintah TDDB bagi menandakan permulaan penubuhan Combined Arms Battalions (CABn) yang terlibat dalam Latihan SEMANGAT BERSATU yang diadakan bermula 11 Oktober 2022 hingga 31 Oktober 2022 juga diadakan, disusuli dengan ikrar Tentera Darat daripada perbarisan Kawalan Kehormatan, bacaan Doa Selamat dan sesi bergambar ramai.
Upacara diteruskan dengan pemotongan kek sempena Hari Ulang Tahun TDDB ke 61 bertempat di Mes Pegawai, Perkhemahan Lumut dan diikuti dengan jamuan petang dan bacaan Doa Penutup.
Bagi menyemarakkan lagi sambutan Hari Ulang Tahun TDDB ke-61, pelbagai aktiviti telah diungkayahkan termasuk Majlis Bertahlil di Kubah Makam Diraja pada 27 Oktober 2022 dan Majlis Doa Kesyukuran pada 3 November 2022.
