BRUNEI LAND FORCE IN THE JOINT PLANNING EXERCISE SUPER GARUDA SHIELD 2024
SURABAYA, REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA, Friday, 06th September 2024 – The Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) has participated in the Joint Planning Exercise (StaffEx) at the multinational level in the Super Garuda Shield Exercise 2024 (SGS24). A total of two officers representing RBLF were Lieutenant Colonel Pengiran Hasroul Bahrie bin Pengiran Md Yusof, Assistant Chief of Staff for Planning (G5) RBLF HQ, and Major Mohammad Za’im bin Haji Zainal Arifin, Officer Commanding of ‘E’ Company, First Battalion RBLF which took place from 26th August 2024 to 06th September 2024.
ROYAL BRUNEI LAND FORCE HALF MARATHON CHAMPIONSHIP 2024
PENANJONG GARRISON, Thursday, 05th September 2024 - The Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) held its annual Half Marathon Championship at the Mini Stadium, Penanjong Garrison. Brigadier General Haji Mohammad Shanonnizam bin Sulaiman, RBLF Commander, attended the event.
ROYAL BRUNEI LAND FORCE HELD THE OPENING OF DIKIR MAULUD 1446 HIJRAH
BERAKAS GARRISON, Wednesday, 4th September 2024 –The Royal Brunei Land Force also held the opening of Dikir Maulud simultaneously at all RBLF suraus including Pulau Baru-Baru Mosque with the focal event held at Surau Al-Fa’izun, Berakas Garrison attended by Brigadier General Haji Mohammad Shanonnizam bin Sulaiman, Commander of the RBLF, Senior Officers, Officers and RBLF personnel.
THIRD BATTALION ROYAL BRUNEI LAND FORCE PARTICIPATED CYCLING ACTIVITY PESTA PANTAI LUMUT 2024
LUMUT, Sunday, 1st September 2024 – Third Battalion Royal Brunei Land Force (3Bn RBLF) joined a 15-kilometre cycling event in Pesta Pantai Lumut 2024 led by Major Khairul Faizin bin Haji Abdul Gapar, the Commanding Officer of 3Bn RBLF and personnel of 3Bn RBLF. The event was organised by Lumut Consultative Council in cooperation with the village consultative councils of Kampong Lumut 1, Lumut National Housing Scheme 1, 2 and 3 as well as Kampong Sungai Liang, held at the Lumut Beach Recreational Park. Present as the Guest of Honour was The Honourable Dato Seri Setia Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abd Rahman, Minister of Home Affairs and were participated by the Acting Belait District Officer, Penghulu Mukim and Head Villages from the Belait District, residents of Kampong Lumut and the public.
SESSION WITH COMMANDER ROYAL BRUNEI LAND FORCE
BERAKAS GARRISON, Friday, 30th August 2024 – Brigadier General Haji Mohammad Shanonnizam bin Sulaiman, Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) had a session with RBLF Officers rank Major and and Captain (holding Major post) held at the Officers’ Mess, Berakas Garrison.
CLOSING CEREMONY FOR RANGE MANAGEMENT COURSE
PENANJONG GARRISON, Thursday, 29th August 2024 – The closing ceremony for the Range Management Course (RMC) 01/2024 took place at the School of Infantry, Royal Brunei Land Force (SOI RBLF). The course was conducted from 4th July 2024 to 30th August 2024 comprising of 38 participants from various units of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) and Royal Brunei Police Force.
THIRD BATTALION ROYAL BRUNEI LAND FORCE PROVIDES ASSISTANCE TO RURAL HEALTH CLINIC SERVICES, MINISTRY OF HEALTH IN BELAIT DISTRICT
BELAIT, Thursday, 29th August 2024 – The Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) continued its support to the Rural Health Clinic Services, Ministry of Health in providing transportation and manpower assistance through the deployment of Third Battalion RBLF from Sungai Liang Health Clinic to Kampung Melilas Longhouse as well as Kampung Sukang Health Clinic.

PENANJONG GARISSON, Thursday, 29th August 2024 – Brigadier General Haji Mohammad Shanonnizam bin Sulaiman, Commander Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) conducted a working visit to the Field Headquarters, Engineer Regiment and Armour Recce Squadron RBLF held at Penanjong Garrison. Also present were Colonel Muhammad Wata bin Abdullah Awat, Deputy Commander RBLF, Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Ghazali bin Haji Hussin, Acting Field Chief of Staff RBLF, Senior Officers and officers of the RBLF.
BRUMAL SETIA 16/2024 AND MERTAK BERSATU 14/2024 EXERCISE PLANNING CONFERENCE
LUMUT CAMP, Wednesday, 28th August 2024 – The Exercise Planning Conference (EPC) for Exercise BRUMAL SETIA 16/2024 and MERTAK BERSATU 14/2024 between the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) and the Malaysian Army was held at Third Battalion Royal Brunei Land Force Headquarters (3Bn RBLF HQ), Lumut Camp from 26th until 28th August 2024. Attending the EPC was Major Khairul Faizin bin Haji Abdul Gapar, the Commanding Officer of 3Bn RBLF, senior officers and officers RBLF.
SECOND IN COMMAND MORTAR, MORTAR FIRE CONTROLLER AND COMMAND POST OPERATOR COURSE, AND MORTAR INTERMEDIATE (A2) COURSES CLOSING CEREMONY
PENANJONG GARRISON, Wednesday, 28th August 2024 – The closing ceremony for the Second in Command Mortar, Mortar Fire Controller and Command Post Operator (MFC and CPO), and Mortar Intermediate A2 courses 2024 took place at the Training Simulation Centre, Penanjong Garrison. A total of 60 Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) personnel and one from the Joint Force Headquarters Royal Brunei Armed Forces (JFHQ RBAF) have successfully completed the courses conducted from 1st July 2024 until 28th August 2024. Major Pg Hj Md Razif bin Pg Hj Idros, Acting Deputy Commanding Officer, School of Infantry RBLF (SOI RBLF) attended the ceremony and were joined by RBLF officers and personnel.
KHATAM AL-QURAN CEREMONY IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE ROYAL BRUNEI LAND FORCE 62ND ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
BERAKAS GARRISON, Friday, 23rd August 2024 – The Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) held a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony in conjunction with its 62nd Anniversary celebration at all RBLF suraus, including Pulau Baru-Baru Mosque, with the main event at Surau Al-Fa’izun, Berakas Garrison. Brigadier General Haji Mohammad Shanonnizam bin Sulaiman, Commander of the RBLF attended the ceremony and were also joined by senior officers, officers and RBLF personnel.
ROYAL BRUNEI LAND FORCE PARTICIPATES IN THE ROYAL BRUNEI ARMED FORCES FOOTBALL COMPETITION AND THE TUG OF WAR CHAMPIONSHIP 2024
RIMBA AIR FORCE BASE, Friday, 23rd August 2024 – The Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Football Tournament and the Tug of War Championship for the year 2024 were held today at the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) Mini Stadium, Rimba. The tournament took place from 12th until 23rd August 2024 and were participated by four teams from the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF), Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), RBAirF and RBAF Combined Team.
THE INTERMEDIATE MEDICAL ASSISTANT A2 COURSE 2024 CLOSING CEREMONY
BOLKIAH GARRISON, Friday, 16 August, 2024 – The Closing Ceremony for the Intermediate Medical Assistant A2 course session 2024 was held at the Ibnu Sina Lecture Hall, Medical and Health Services Headquarters, Bolkiah Garrison. A total of 14 participants completed the 11 weeks course from 6th June 2024 to 19th August 2024, consisting of personnel from the Medical and Health Services Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF), Performance Optimisation Center (POC) and the Special Force Regiment (SFR).
SCHOOL OF MILITARY ENGINEER, ENGINEER REGIMENT RBLF CONDUCTS IMPROVISED EXPLOSIVE DEVICE AWARENESS WORKSHOP FOR MARITIME AND PORT AUTHORITY BRUNEI DARUSSALAM
MUARA, Thursday, 15 August 2024 – The School of Military Engineer, Engineer Regiment Royal Brunei Land Force (SOME Engr Regt RBLF) conducted a one-day Improvised Explosive Device (IED) Awareness Workshop in Maritime Security attended by 50 Port Facility Security officers and staff of the Maritime Security Section, Maritime and Port Authority Brunei Darussalam (MSS MPABD) held at the MPABD Headquarters, Muara.
ALL ARMS STAFF AND TACTICS COURSE (AASTC) 2024 CLOSING CEREMONY
BERAKAS GARRISON, Thursday, 15 August 2024 – The closing ceremony for the All Arms Staff and Tactics Course (AASTC) 2024 was held at the Officers’ Mess, Berakas Garrison. A total of six Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) officers and one officer from the Malaysia Army had successfully completed the 8-weeks course from 18th June 2024 until 15th August 2024 by the School of Infantry (SOI) RBLF. Present as the Guest of Honour was Brigadier General Haji Mohammad Shanonnizam bin Sulaiman, Commander of the RBLF. Also in attendance were the Director of Personnel from the Ministry of Defence, Defence Adviser of Malaysia to Brunei Darussalam, Acting Field Commander of RBLF as well as RBLF Senior Officers and officers.
