THE 8TH MALAYSIA – BRUNEI ARMY TO ARMY TALKS 2024
KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA, Wednesday, 16th October 2024 – The 8th Malaysia-Brunei Army to Army Talks (MALBRU A2AT) 2024 was held between the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) and Malaysian Army from 15th to 16th October 2024 at the Perdana Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The meeting was Co-Chaired by Major General Dato’ Azhan bin Haji Mohd Othman, Assistant Chief of Staff of Operations and Training, Malaysian Army and Lieutenant Colonel Erwan bin Haji Ibrahim, Chief of Staff RBLF.
THE CLOSING EVENT FOR ARMOURED RECONNAISSANCE SQUADRON ROYAL BRUNEI LAND FORCE COMBAT TROOP INTER-COMPETITION 2024
PENANJONG GARRISON, Monday, 14th October 2024 – The Armored Reconnaissance Squadron Royal Brunei Land Force (ARS RBLF) held the closing event for Combat Troop Inter-Competition 2024 at the ARS RBLF Parade Square, Penanjong Garrison. Present to officiate the closing was Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Ghazali bin Haji Hussin, Acting Chief of Staff Field Headquarters RBLF, and were joined by Major Awang Haji Mohammad Shahereen Firdaus bin Awang Haji Abu Bakar, Officer Commanding (OC) of ARS RBLF, Officers and personnel of ARS RBLF. A total of three combat troops have competed in the competition from 1st October 2024 to 11th October 2024.
PROMOTION EVENTS FOR ROYAL BRUNEI LAND FORCE PERSONNEL
BERAKAS GARRISON, Friday, 11th October 2024 – The promotion events for Senior Non-Commissioned Officers (SNCOs) and Junior Non-Commissioned Officers (JNCOs) from various Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) sub-units were concurrently held at respective units. The promoted personnel consisted of the Dental Services RBLF, Combat Service Support RBLF, Medical Services RBLF and Armoured Reconnaissance Squadron RBLF, and were attended by RBLF Senior Officers, Officers and personnel.
SIX ROYAL BRUNEI LAND FORCE OFFICERS COMPLETED THE 14TH RBAF COMMAND AND STAFF COURSE
TANAH JAMBU, Thursday, 10th October 2024 – A total of six personnel from the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) had successfully completed the 14th Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Command and Staff Course (CSC) in a closing ceremony held at the Defence Academy RBAF (DA RBAF).

BERAKAS GARRISON, Wednesday, 9th October 2024 – Brigadier General Haji Mohammad Shanonnizam bin Sulaiman, Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF), received a courtesy call from Her Excellency Mrs Eve Lubin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of France to Brunei Darussalam at the RBLF Headquarters. Also in attendance were Lieutenant Colonel Erwan bin Haji Ibrahim, Chief of Staff RBLF, and Colonel (Armament) Laurent Bouzidi, Republic of France Deputy Defence Attaché/Defence Technology Attaché to Brunei Darussalam.
ROYAL BRUNEI LAND FORCE AND UNITED STATES ARMY PACIFIC HELD SECOND US-BRU LAND FORCE TALKS
BERAKAS GARRISON, Tuesday, 8th October 2024 – The second BRU–US Land Force Talks (BRU–US LFT) between the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) and the United States Army Pacific (USARPAC) was held at the Officers’ Mess, Berakas Garrison. The meeting was Co-chaired by Lieutenant Colonel Erwan bin Haji Ibrahim, Chief of Staff RBLF and Lieutenant Colonel David A. Norton, United States Army Indo-pacific Foreign Area Officer, USARPAC.
PROMOTION EVENT FOR ROYAL BRUNEI LAND FORCE WARRANT OFFICERS
BERAKAS GARRISON, Monday, 07th October 2024 – The promotion event for Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) Warrant Officers was held at the Warrant Officers’, Staff Sergeants’ and Sergeants’ Mess, Berakas Garrison. The rank insignias were presented by Brigadier General Haji Mohammad Shanonnizam bin Sulaiman, Commander of RBLF. Also in attendance were RBLF Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff, Senior Officers, Officers, Senior Non-Commissioned Officers as well as family members of the promoted personnel.
ROYAL BRUNEI LAND FORCE WOMEN’S FINAL NETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP 2024/2025
BERAKAS GARRISON, Friday, 4th October 2024 – The Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) held the Inter-Women’s Final Netball Championship 2024/2025 at the Berakas Garrison Gymnasium. The championship was participated by three teams which consist of a combined team from the RBLF Headquarters (RBLF HQ) and HQ Company RBLF (HQ Coy RBLF), a combined team from Field HQ RBLF, Medical and Health Services RBLF, Dental Services RBLF, and School of Infantry (SOI) RBLF, as well as a team from Combat Service Support RBLF (CSS RBLF). Present to deliver the winning prizes was Lieutenant Colonel (Dr.) Ummi Suzeyanna binti Haji Johari, the Chief of Medical Services RBLF and were attended by female officers and personnel of the RBLF.
BASIC, INTERMEDIATE AND ADVANCE SPECIAL TASK PLATOON COURSE 2024 CLOSING EVENT
PENANJONG GARRISON, Friday, 4th October 2024 – The Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) held a closing event for the Basic, Intermediate and Advance Special Task Platoon (STP) Course 2024 at the Field Firing Area, Binturan Range, Penanjong Garrison, conducted by Third Battalion (3Bn) RBLF. A total of 33 participants from RBLF combat units had participated in the course conducted from 5th August 2024 until 4th October 2024. Present to officiate the closing was Brigadier General Haji Mohammad Shanonnizam bin Sulaiman, Commander of RBLF.
NINE ROYAL BRUNEI LAND FORCE SENIOR OFFICERS PROMOTED
BOLKIAH GARRISON, Friday, 4th October 2024 - With the consent of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, a total of 19 Senior Officers of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) were promoted in a ceremony held at the Officers’ Mess, Bolkiah Garrison. Among those promoted were nine Senior Officers from the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) consisting of one officer promoted from Acting Lieutenant Colonel to Substantive Lieutenant Colonel, while eight to Acting Lieutenant Colonel.
CERTIFICATES PRESENTATION FOR DENTAL COURSES
BERAKAS GARRISON, Friday, 4th October 2024 – The Dental Services Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) held certificates presentation for the Portable Dental Unit (PDU), Dental Foundation Training Programme and the Basic Dental Surgery Assistant Course at the Dental Services RBLF Headquarters, Berakas Garrison. In attendance to present the certificates was Colonel Dr Jefri bin Hj Abdul Razak, Chief Dental Services RBLF.
SEMANGAT MUHIBBAH IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE ROYAL BRUNEI LAND FORCE 62nd ANNIVERSARY
BERAKAS GARRISON, Tuesday, 1st October 2024 – In conjunction with the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) 62nd Anniversary, the First Battalion RBLF (1Bn RBLF) held Semangat Muhibbah luncheon at the Warrant Officer, Staff Sergeant’ and Sergeants’ Mess, Berakas Garrison with stakeholders from the Brunei Muara District. In attendance were Brigadier General Haji Mohammad Shanonnizam bin Sulaiman, Commander of the RBLF, Mohammad Sofian bin Haji Basri, Acting Brunei Muara District Officer, Acting Chief of Staff Field Headquarters RBLF, Acting Commanding Officer 1Bn RBLF, Members of Legislative Council of Brunei Muara District Zone 1 to Zone 5, Government Officers and Heads of Mukims and Villages.
THE 45th INTERNATIONAL COMMITTEE OF MILITARY MEDICINE WORLD CONGRESS ON MILITARY MEDICINE
BRISBANE, Friday, 27th September 2024 – Lieutenant Colonel (Dr.) Ummi Suzeyanna binti Haji Johari, the Chief Medical Services Royal Brunei Land Force together with three officers from the Performance Optimisation Centre, Ministry of Defence had attended the 45th International Committee of Military Medicine (ICMM) World Congress on Military Medicine, hosted by the Australian Defence Force from 22nd to 27th September 2024 in Brisbane, Australia.
ROYAL BRUNEI LAND FORCE SENIOR OFFICERS COMPLETED THE 19th EXECUTIVE
GADONG, Thursday, 26 September 2024 - 10 Senior Officers from the Royal Brunei Land Force were among the 29 participants who completed the 19th Executive Development Programme for Senior Government Officials (EDPSGO) in Public Policy and Management, hosted by the Ministry of Defence. The closing event took place at the Centrepoint Hotel, Gadong.
ROYAL BRUNEI LAND FORCE UNIT AMMUNITION STOREMAN COURSE CLOSING EVENT
PENANJONG GARRISON, Thursday, 26th September 2024 – The closing event for Unit Ammunition Storeman Course for the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) was held at the Logistic Training Wing, Training Institute, Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Penanjong Garrison. A total of 20 course participants from various units of RBLF had participated in the course which was conducted from 2nd until 26th September 2024. Present at the event was Lieutenant Colonel Azhar bin Matzan, Commandant of Combat Service Support (CSS), RBLF and were joined by Senior Officers, Officers and course instructors.
