RBLF SENIOR OFFICERS PROMOTED
BOLKIAH GARRISON, Friday, 31st October 2025 - With the consent of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, a total of 19 Senior Officers of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) were promoted in a ceremony held at the Officers’ Mess, Bolkiah Garrison. Among those promoted were 12 Senior Officers from the Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF), including 3 promoted from Lieutenant Colonel to Colonel, and nine from Acting Lieutenant Colonel to Substantive Lieutenant Colonel.
RBLF OFFICERS ATTENDED THE 71ST ICASM
REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE, Friday, 31st October 2025 – Major (Dr) Ranald bin Mohd Faizal, Senior Medical Officer, and Lieutenant Abdul Matin bin Haji Abdul Malik, Logistic Officer, both from the Medical Services, Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF), attended the 71st International Congress of Aviation and Space Medicine (ICASM) held in the Republic of Singapore from 27th October 30th October 2025.
PROMOTION EVENT FOR RBLF SNCOS
BERAKAS GARRISON, Friday, 31st October 2025 – The Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) held a promotion event for the Senior Non-Commissioned Officers (SNCOs) from various RBLF sub-units at the Warrant Officers’, Staff Sergeants’, and Sergeants’ Mess in Berakas Garrison. The SNCO insignias were presented by Brigadier General Aldi bin Haji Hassan, Commander of the RBLF.
RBLF OFFICER PARTICIPATES IN THE ADMM-PLUS EWG ON HADR
REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE, Friday, 31st October 2025 – Lieutenant Colonel Haji Erawan bin Haji Abu Bakar, the Chief of Staff, Field Headquarters Royal Brunei Land Forces (TDDB), participated in the ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting-Plus Experts’ Working Group (ADMM-Plus EWG) on Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) Conference in the context of climate change. It was held at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel, Republic of Singapore from 31st October 2025 until 02 November 2025.
RBLF OFFICER PARTICIPATED IN MULTINATIONAL EXERCISE COORDINATED RESPONSE
REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE, Thursday, 30 October 2025 – Major Khairul Azme bin Haji Mohidi from the Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) along with Major (U) Muhammad Isyhak bin Haji Ismail from the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) had participated in the Exercise Coordinated Response (Ex COORES) 2025, a biennial multinational Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) exercise, held at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel, Republic of Singapore, from 28th to 30th October 2025. Officiating the opening ceremony was Major General Cai Dexian, Singapore’s Chief of Army.
17 RBLF PERSONNEL RECEIVES HNTEC AND NTEC CERTIFICATES
BERAKAS, Thursday, 30th October 2025 – A total of 17 Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) personnel received their Higher National Technical Certificate (HNTec) and National Technical Certificate (NTec) certificates during the Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) 33rd Convocation Ceremony, held at the Plenary Hall, International Convention Centre (ICC), Berakas. Among the recipients are 4 personnel from the Dental Services RBLF with NTec in Assistant Nurse (Dental), while 13 personnel from the Land Engineering RBLF, completed the HNTec programmes, with 7 in Automotive Engineering and 6 in Mechanical Engineering (Armament).
RBLF COMMANDER SESSION WITH OFFICERS AND PERSONNEL FOR MALBATT 850-13
BERAKAS GARRISON, Tuesday, 28th October 2025 – A session between Brigadier General Aldi bin Haji Hassan, Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF), with 2 RBLF officers and 8 other ranks who will be joining the Malaysian Battalion 850-13 (MALBATT 850-13) to be part of the peacekeeping mission under the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) was held today at Berakas Garrison.
BASIC ARMOURED PERSONNEL CARRIER COURSE CONCLUDES
PENANJONG GARRISON, Tuesday, 28th October 2025 – The Basic Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) course organised by the Armoured Reconnaissance Squadron, Royal Brunei Land Forces (ARS RBLF), concluded with a closing ceremony held at the ARS RBLF Auditorium Hall, Penanjong Garrison. The 20-week course, which ran from 6th June to 28th October 2025, was participated by 24 personnel comprising one officer and 23 other ranks from various sub-units of RBLF. The closing was officiated by Lieutenant Colonel Haji Erawan bin Haji Abu Bakar, Field Chief of Staff, RBLF.
2BN RBLF HOLDS SEMANGAT MUHIBBAH IN CONJUNCTION WITH RBLF 63rd ANNIVERSARY
TUTONG CAMP, Tuesday, 28th October 2025 – In conjunction with the Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) 63rd Anniversary, the Second Battalion RBLF (2Bn RBLF) held a Semangat Muhibbah event with stakeholders from the Tutong District at Tutong Camp. Present at the event were Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Fakaruddin Zuraidie bin Haji Ramli, Field Commander of RBLF, Awang Haji Sofian bin Awang Haji Basri, Acting Tutong District Officer, Heads of Mukims and Villages, and representatives from Government Agencies in the Tutong District.

PENANJONG GARRISON, Tuesday, 28 October 2025 – A Subject Matter Expert Exchange (SMEE) focusing on Construction Engineering as part of this year’s Exercise Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) 31/2025 was conducted between the Engineer Regiment, Royal Brunei Land Forces (Engr Regt RBLF) and the United States Naval Mobile Construction Battalion Four (US NMCB4). The two-day programme was held at the School of Military Engineering’s Lecture Room, Penanjong Garrison.

EXERCISE CARAT 31/2025 COMMUNITY RELATIONS ACTIVITY
KIARONG, Monday, 27th October 2025 – The Engineer Regiment Royal Brunei Land Forces (Engr Regt RBLF), in collaboration with the United States Navy (U.S. Navy), conducted a Community Relations (COMREL) activity at the Paraplegics and Physically Disabled Association (PAPDA) compound in Kampong Kiarong. The COMREL was held in conjunction with the 31st iteration of the Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training 2025 (CARAT 31/2025) exercise.
RBLF EMERGES CHAMPION IN RBAF HALF MARATHON AND 10KM RACE 2025
BOLKIAH GARRISON, Sunday, 26th October 2025 – The Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) emerged as the overall champion in the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Half Marathon and 10km Race 2025, held at the Mini Stadium, Bolkiah Garrison. Participated alongside were the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF), and the combined Ministry of Defence team made up of personnel from the Ministry of Defence, Joint Force Headquarters RBAF (JFHQ RBAF), Defence Academy RBAF (DA RBAF), Training Institute RBAF (TI RBAF) and Special Forces Regiment RBAF (SFR RBAF).

BERAKAS GARRISON, Friday, 24th October 2025 – The promotion events for Senior Non-Commissioned Officers (SNCOs) and Junior Non-Commissioned Officers (JNCOs) from various Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) sub-units were held at respective units throughout the week. The promoted personnel consisted of the Field Headquarters, First, Second and Third Battalion, Armoured Reconnaissance Squadron, Engineer Regiment, Combat Boat Squadron, Combat Service Support, Medical Services, as well as Dental Services, attended by RBLF Senior Officers, Officers, and personnel.
1BN RBLF LIVE-FIRING EXERCISE
PENANJONG GARRISON, Friday, 24th October 2025 – The Support Company of the First Battalion, Royal Brunei Land Forces (1Bn RBLF), conducted a Live-Firing Exercise from 23rd to 24th October 2025 at the Field Firing Area, Binturan Range, Penanjong Garrison. The exercise involved the Battalion’s Support Weapons and Support Unit elements, including the Heavy Support Weapon (HSW) Platoon, Special Task Platoon (STP), and Assault Pioneer Platoon.
