BERAKAS GARRISON, Tuesday, 16th June 2026 – To commemorate the beginning of the Islamic New Year 1448 Hijrah, the Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) held a ceremony simultaneously at all RBLF Suraus including Pulau Baru-Baru Mosque with the focal event held at Surau Al-Fa’izun, Berakas Garrison.
The event commenced with the recitation of Doa Akhir Tahun 1447 Hijrah and proceeded with Fardhu Maghrib prayer and the recitation of Doa Awal Tahun 1448 Hijrah. The meaningful occasion also featured the Sunnat Hajat prayer and the recitation of Surah Yaasin, seeking blessings in the new year, followed by a mass Fardhu Isya’ prayer.
The theme for 1448 Hijrah is “Hijrah Penyelamat Aqidah“, which underscores the role of Hijrah as a spiritual journey that safeguards faith, strengthens Islamic values, and inspires Muslims to remain steadfast in their beliefs, while striving for moral and personal excellence.
SAMBUTAN AWAL TAHUN BARU HIJRAH 1448
BERAKAS GARISON, Selasa, 16 Jun 2026 – Bagi memperingati permulaan Tahun Baru Islam 1448 Hijrah, Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB) telah mengadakan majlis secara serentak di semua Surau TDDB termasuk Masjid Pulau Baru-Baru dengan tumpuan utama di Surau Al-Fa’izun, Berakas Garison.
Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan Doa Akhir Tahun 1447 Hijrah dan diteruskan dengan Sembahyang Fardhu Maghrib dan bacaan Doa Awal Tahun 1448 Hijrah. Majlis yang penuh penghayatan ini turut disemarakkan dengan Sembahyang Sunat Hajat dan bacaan Surah Yaasin bagi memohon keberkatan dan diikuti dengan Sembahyang Fardhu Isya’ berjemaah.
Tema bagi tahun 1448 Hijrah ialah “Hijrah Penyelamat Aqidah“, yang menekankan mengenai kepentingan Hijrah sebagai usaha memperkukuh akidah, memelihara keimanan, dan mengamalkan nilai-nilai Islam dalam kehidupan seharian, sekali gus melahirkan insan yang berakhlak mulia dan teguh pendirian.
