PENANJONG GARRISON, Friday, 2nd August 2024 – The Closing Ceremony of the Watchkeeper Course Series 1/2024 was held at the School of Infantry, Royal Brunei Land Force (SOI RBLF), Penanjong Garrison. A total of 30 participants have completed the course consisting of 19 personnel from RBLF, two from Joint Force Headquarters Royal Brunei Armed Forces, eight from Special Force Regiment RBAF and one from Defence Academy RBAF, which was conducted from 15th July 2024 to 2nd August 2024 by the Signal Training Wing, SOI RBLF. Present as the Guest of Honour was Major Faizal Azly bin Haji Rosli, Commanding Officer of SOI RBLF and were also attended by Officers and personnel of SOI RBLF, School Sergeant Major, and Head of Training Wings and Instructors.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Surah Al-Mujadalah verse 11 to 13 led by one of the course participants, Sergeant Muhaimin bin Adanan from Signal Squadron, Combat Service Support RBLF. A course review from Warrant Officer 2 Muhammad Rizan bin Moksin, Head Instructor of the Watchkeeper Course was then delivered, prior the certificates presentation by the Guest of Honor. Subsequently, the event proceeded with a closing remark from the Guest of Honor, where he highlighted on the important roles of watchkeeper particularly in communication procedures and information systems. He further added that in carrying out the duties and responsibilities as a watchkeeper, one needs to maintain the situational awareness at all times, and to ensure the information as well as description are accurate. The ceremony ended with the recitation of Doa and group photo session.
The course aims to equip participants with the necessary skills, knowledge and understanding on how to better perform the role as a watchkeeper in any assigned operation.
MAJLIS PENUTUP KURSUS WATCHKEEPER SIRI 1/2024
PENANJONG GARISON, Jumaat, 2 Ogos 2024 – Majlis Penutup Kursus Watchkeeper Siri 1/2024 telah berlangsung pada hari ini bertempat di Sekolah Infantri, Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (SI TDDB), Penanjong Garison. Seramai 30 peserta telah berjaya menamatkan kursus tersebut yang terdiri daripada 19 anggota TDDB, dua daripada Markas Angkatan Bersama Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB), lapan dari Rejimen Pasukan Khas ABDB dan seorang dari Akademi Pertahanan ABDB, yang telah berlangsung dari 15 Julai 2024 hingga 2 Ogos 2024 oleh Cawangan Latihan Semboyan, SI TDDB. Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat ialah Mejar Faizal Azly bin Haji Rosli, Pegawai Pemerintah SI TDDB dan turut dihadiri oleh Pegawai-pegawai dan anggota SI TDDB, Sekolah Sarjan Mejar, Ketua-Ketua Cawangan dan Jurulatih-jurulatih kursus.
Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah dan Surah Al-Mujadalah ayat 11 hingga 13 yang dipimpin oleh salah seorang daripada peserta kursus iaitu Sarjan Muhaimin bin Adanan dari Skuadron Semboyan, Khidmat Bantuan Kombat TDDB. Ulasan kursus daripada Pegawai Waran 2 Muhammad Rizan bin Moksin, Jurulatih Pengendali Kursus kemudiannya disampaikan, sebelum penyampaian sijil oleh Tetamu Kehormat. Majlis diteruskan dengan ucapan penutup daripada Tetamu Kehormat, di mana beliau menekankan tentang peranan penting watchkeeper khususnya dalam prosedur komunikasi dan sistem maklumat. Tambahnya lagi, dalam menjalankan tugas dan tanggungjawab sebagai watchkeeper, seseorang itu perlu sentiasa mengekalkan kesedaran situasi pada setiap masa, dan memastikan maklumat serta penerangan adalah tepat. Seterusnya, majlis diakhiri dengan bacaan Doa dan sesi bergambar ramai.
Kursus ini adalah bertujuan untuk melengkapkan para peserta dengan kemahiran, pengetahuan dan kefahaman yang diperlukan dalam melaksanakan peranan sebagai watchkeeper dalam mana-mana operasi yang diberikan.
