2020 – The Initial Planning Conference (IPC) for the Brunei phase CARAT (Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training) military training series between the United States Marines Corp (USMC) and the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) was held today at the Multi-National Coordination Center, Muara (MNCC).
Third Battalion, Royal Brunei Land Force (3Bn RBLF) will be participating in a joint Land Exercise with the United States Navy. The concept of the exercise would be based on live firing manoeuvre and Operations Other Than War (OOTW).
The objective of the IPC was to enhance the inter-operability of RBLF and United States Marines Corps (USMC). It also aims to strengthen the defence relations between the two countries.
The exercise will tentatively take place from 01 June until 10 June 2020.

Initial Planning Conference (IPC) bagi siri latihan ketenteraan CARAT(Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training) di antara United States Marines Corp (USMC) dan Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) telah diadakan
di Multi National Coordination Centre, Muara (MNCC).
Batalion Ketiga Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (3Bn TDDB) akan menyertai latihan kententeraan bersama USMC. Konsep eksesais tersebut adalah penembakan menggunakan peluru hidup dan perperangan bandar.
Antara objektif IPC ini diadakan adalah untuk meningkatkan mutu operasi ketenteraan diantara USMC dan ABDB. Disamping itu juga, ianya adalah untuk memperkuatkan lagi hubungan kententeraan diantara kedua-dua negara.
Eksasais ini dijangka akan berlangsung pada 01 hingga 10 Jun 2020.
