BANGKOK, Monday, 09 September 2019 – The 11th Indo-Pacific Armies Chiefs Conference (IPACC XI), 43rd Indo Pacific Armies Management Seminar (PAMS XL III) and Senior Enlisted Leader Forum (SELF V) were held concurrently in Bangkok, Thailand.
The Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) delegation was led by Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Awang Khairul Hamed bin Awang Haji Lampoh, Commander of RBLF. Following the theme: “Achieving Sustainable Security: A new perspective for Indo-Pacific Armies”, these conferences gravitate on fostering security cooperation with regional land forces in the Indo-Pacific region. This provides the opportunity to increase mutual understanding of regional challenges and concerns, as well as exchange of perspectives.
Attending the IPACC XI as the guest of honour was His Excellency General Prayut Chan-o-cha (Ret), the Prime Minister of Thailand, who underlined the importance of building a joint working atmosphere in promoting regional peace and mutual trust at strategic levels in the Indo-Pacific region.
During the conference, the keynote speaker, General Boonsrang Niumpradit, previously the Supreme Commander of the Royal Thai Armed Forces, and now a Thailand senator, highlighted that “sustainable security is multidimensional” and the need to maintain the three security dimensions: (1) human security, (2) national security, and (3) international security in order to achieve sustainable goal.
IPAC XI, PAMS XL III and SELF V were co-hosted by the Royal Thai Army and the United States Army. This year’s IPACC XI, PAMS XL III, SELF V conference witnessed the gathering of Chiefs of Army from 27 countries across the Pacific and saw the largest gathering of senior Army leaders and security officials in a continuous effort to strengthening alliances and fostering partnerships to respond and address crises or contingencies effectively in the region.
At the sidelines, PAMS XL III was also attended by Major Suzanna binti Antin and Captain Dayangku Nurul Hazimah binti Haji Abdul Ghani while SELF V was attended by Warrant Officer 1, Selamat Bin Hj Mohd Yassin.

BANGKOK, Isnin,09 September 2019 – Persidangan Panglima – Panglima Tentera Darat Rantau Indo-Pasifik yang ke-11 (IPACC XI), Seminar Pengurusan Angkatan – Angkatan Tentera Pasifik yang ke-43 (PAMS XL III) dan
Senior Enlisted Leader Forum (Self V) telah berlangsung secara serentak di Bangkok, Thailand.
Rombongan daripada Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei telah diketuai oleh Brigedier Jeneral Dato Seri Pahlawan Awang Khairul Hamed bin Awang Haji Lampoh, Pemerintah Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei. Bertemakan “Achieving Sustainable Security:
A new perspective for Indo-Pacific Armies“, persidangan ini menggariskan tentang kerjasama diantara tentera didalam rantau indo-pasifik. Dengan adanya persidangan ini, ianya diharapkan untuk meningkatkan kesefahaman di dalam menangani isu-isu dan cabaran-cabaran sekuriti yang dihadapi di rantau tersebut.
Turut hadir di acara pembukaan IPACC XI selaku Tetamu Kehormat adalah Tuan Yang Terutama Jeneral (Bersara) Prayut Chan-o-cha, Perdana Menteri Thailand yang telah menggariskan tentang kepentingan membina kerjasama didalam meningkatkan keamanan serantau dan kepercayaan diperingkat strategik di rantau Indo-Pasifik.
Jeneral Boonsrang Niumpradit sebagai pembentang utama didalam ucapan beliau telah menekankan kepentingan keselamatan mampan (Sustainable Security) adalah berbilang dimensi (multidimensional)iaitu (1) keselamatan kemanusiaan, (2) keselamatan kebangsaan dan (3) keselamatan antarabangsa.
IPACC XI, PAMS XL III dan SELF V telah dianjurkan bersama oleh Tentera Darat Diraja Thailand dan Tentera Darat Amerika Syarikat. IPACC XI, PAMS XL III dan SELF V pada tahun ini telah menyaksikan perhimpunan ketua-ketua tentera daripada 27 buah negara di rantau Indo-Pasifik.
Pada masa yang sama PAMS XL III telah dihadiri oleh Mejar Suzanna binti Antin dan Kapten Dayangku Hazimah Binti Haji Abdul Ghani manakala SELF V telah hadiri oleh Pegawai Waran 1 Selamat bin Haji Mohammad Yassin.
