SUNGAI BASONG RECREATIONAL PARK, Friday, 13 September 2019
 – The Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Explosive Defence Unit emerged as the champion of Support Battalion Royal Brunei Land Force (Sp Bn RBLF) Orienteering Competition 2019 for the fourth time in a row.

The competition was held at Sungai Basong Recreational Park, Tutong and was participated by Company Headquarters Support Battalion, Armour Reconnaissance Squadron, Combat Engineer Squadron and the Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Explosive Defence Unit.

Present as the guest of honour was Lieutenant Colonel Haji Rony Zai bin Haji Zaini, the Commanding Officer of the Sp Bn RBLF, who also participated in the open category of the competition.

The competition aims to maintain a healthy competition among the Support Battalion personnel as well as to test the navigational skills and endurance fitness.

The orienteering competition was divided into 4 categories with one team category and three open categories. The open categories are Individual open events (40 years and above), Individual open events (30 to 39 years old) and Individual open events (29 years old and below).

The winners according to their respective categories are as follows:


Team category:

  1. Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Explosive Defence Unit – 885 points
  2. Armour Reconnaissance Squadron – 795 points
  3. Combat Engineer Squadron – 735 points


Individual open events (40 years old and above):

  1.  WO1 Abd Rashid bin Haji Lamat – 100 points (56 mins)
  2.  LCpl Asmalee bin Abd Manan - 100 points (58 mins)
  3.  WO2 Sofian bin Haji Ali - 85 points (48 mins)


Individual open events (30 to 39 years old):

  1.  Cpl Hairol Azmi bin Jaini – 90 points (51 mins)
  2.  LCpl Abdul Azim bin Adi- 90 points (52 mins)
  3.  Sgt Ismandi bin Md Ali – 90 points (53 mins)


Individual open events (29 years old and below):

  1.  LCpl Md Arrafie bin Noorazli – 90 points (49 mins)
  2.  LCpl Hafiz bin Abd Ghani  – 90 points (50 mins)
  3.  Pvt Shahazwan bin Abdullah – 90 points (53 mins)





PERLAWANAN MERINTIS BATALION BANTU TENTERA DARAT DIRAJA BRUNEI 2019

TAMAN REKREASI SUNGAI BASONG, Jumaat, 13 September 2019 – Unit Pertahanan Kimia Biologi Radiologi dan Letupan telah muncul juara empat kali berturut- turut dalam Perlawanan Merintis Batalion Bantu Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (Bn Bantu TDDB) 2019.

Perlawanan telah diadakan di Taman Rekreasi Sungai Basong, Tutong dan telah disertai oleh Kompeni Markas Batalion Bantu, Skuadron Kereta Perisai Peninjau, Skuadron Jurutera Tempur dan Unit Pertahanan Kimia Biologi Radiologi dan Letupan.

Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat menyaksikan perlawanan tersebut adalah Leftenan Kolonel Haji Rony Zai bin Haji Zaini, Pegawai Pemerintah Bn Bantu TDDB, yang juga turut serta menyertai di dalam kategori terbuka.

Tujuan perlawanan ini diadakan adalah untuk meningkatkan lagi persaingan yang sihat di kalangan warga Batalion Bantu dan sekaligus untuk menguji kemahiran pandu arah dan tahap kecergasan peserta-peserta.

Empat kategori telah dipertandingkan diperlawanan tersebut iaitu satu kategori berpasukan dan tiga kategori terbuka. Diantara kategori terbuka yang dipertandingkan adalah acara terbuka perseorangan (40 tahun keatas), acara terbuka perseorangan (30 tahun – 39 tahun) dan acara terbuka perseorangan (29 tahun kebawah).

Keputusan dari hasil perlawanan tersebut adalah seperti berikut:

  2. Skuadron Kereta Perisai Peninjau – 795 mata
  3. Skuadron Jurutera Tempur – 735 mata
