TUTONG, Friday 16 November 2018 – A personnel from the B Company 2nd Battalion of the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF), LCpl Shatila bin Gassireh recited his Islamic oath at his sister’s recidence at Kg Bukit Beruang, Tutong, today.
Present at the ceremony as guest of honour was Yang Mulia Major General Pengiran Dato Paduka Seri Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Commander of RBAF. Also present was Yang Mulia Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Awang Khairul Hamed bin Awang Haji Lampoh the Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF), service commanders, officers from the RBAF and the Islamic Da’wah Centre as well as families.
The ceremony began with the recital of verses from Al-Qur’an and the declaration of Syahadah (declaration of faith) from LCpl Shatila bin Gassireh, led by an officer from the Islamic Da’wah Center.
Subsequently, Dikir Marhaban as well as the sprinkling of bunga rampai and gift presentation were given by guests and families.
LCpl Shatila bin Gassireh is the eight RBAF personnel to convert to Islam this year and the 118th since 2006.
ANGGOTA BATALION KEDUA TDDB MEMELUK AGAMA ISLAM
TUTONG, Juma’at 16 November 2018 – Seorang anggota daripada Kompeni B Batalion Kedua Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB), Yang Mulia LKpl Shatila bin Gassire telah memeluk agama Islam sebagai agama baru beliau. Majlis pengislaman tersebut diadakan di rumah kediaman kakak beliau di Kg Bukit Beruang, Tutong, petang ini.
Hadir selaku tetamu kehormat pada majlis tersebut ialah Yang Mulia Mejar Jeneral Pengiran Dato Paduka Seri Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Pemerintah Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei. Turut hadir ialah Yang Mulia Brigedier Jeneral Dato Seri Pahlawan Awang Khairul Hamed bin Awang Haji Lampoh, Pemerintah Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB), Pemerintah-Pemerintah Angkatan Tentera, Pegawai-pegawai ABDB dan Pusat Dakwah Islamiyyah serta keluarga.
Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan ayat-ayat suci Al-Quran diikuti dengan lafaz syahadah oleh LKpl Shatila bin Gassireh, yang dipimpin oleh pegawai dari Pusat Dakwah Islamiah.
Majlis diserikan dengan laungan Dikir Marhaban serta taburan bunga rampai serta penyampaian cenderahati daripada Yang Mulia Tetamu Kehormat serta jemputan yang hadir kepada saudara baru.
Lkpl Shatila bin Gassireh merupakan anggota ABDB yang ke-lapan memeluk Islam pada tahun ini dan yang ke-118 sejak tahun 2006.
