PENANJONG GARRISON, Tuesday, 28th April 2026 – School of Infantry, Royal Brunei Land Forces (SOI RBLF) has successfully conducted a Live-Firing Exercise codenamed ‘Exercise Gempur Wira’ from 20th to 28th April 2026 at the Field Firing Area, Binturan Range, Penanjong Garrison.
The exercise served as a training evolution for course participants of the Platoon Commander and Platoon Sergeant Combat Course. In reflection of the Army’s integrated approach to capacity-building, the course participants were reinforced by elements of the Third Battalion RBLF assets involving a Rifle Company and its Support Unit elements, including the Heavy Support Weapon (HSW) Platoon, Special Task Platoon (STP), Assault Pioneer Platoon, as well as other RBLF units such as Armored Recce Squadron (ARS) and Platoon Commando RBLF.
The final phase of the ‘Exercise Gempur Wira’ was witnessed by Colonel Muhammad Wata bin Abdullah Awat, Acting Commander of RBLF. Also present were Colonel Mohammad Fakaruddin Zuraidie bin Haji Ramli, Field Commander RBLF, Colonel Erwan bin Haji Ibrahim, Chief of Staff RBLF and other Senior Officers.
The exercise scenario simulated a captured ground occupied by an Enemy Observation Post (OP), where the Platoon Commando RBLF was assigned the task to neutralise the OP. The mission was also supported by sniper elements from STP 3Bn RBLF and suppressive fire from the HMG Platoon 3Bn RBLF and ARS RBLF, while the Rifle Company 3Bn RBLF and the course participants executed the destruction of the enemy position.
The exercise was designed to elevate weapons-handling proficiency of the course participants of the Platoon Commander and Platoon Sergeant Combat Course, and to reinforce the same standards among 3Bn RBLF personnel, while enhancing inter-unit coordination and effectiveness in the delivery of integrated fire support during battalion-level operations.
EKSESAIS GEMPUR WIRA ANTARA SEKOLAH INFANTRI TDDB DAN BATALION KETIGA TDDB
PENANJONG GARISON, Selasa, 28 April 2026 – Sekolah Infantri Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (SI TDDB), telah melaksanakan Latihan menembak peluru hidup iaitu ‘Eksesais Gempur Wira’ dari 20 hingga 28 April 2026 di Lapang Sasar, Padang Tembak Binturan, Penanjong Garison.
Latihan ini melibatkan peserta kursus daripada Kursus Tempur Ketua Platun dan Platun Sarjan, dengan bantuan aset daripada Batalion Ketiga (3Bn) TDDB yang melibatkan anggota-anggota Kompeni Repal berserta bantuan daripada Platun Senjata Bantuan Berat (HSW), Platun Gerak Khas (PGK), Platun Rintis Serang, serta unit TDDB yang lain seperti Skuadron Kereta Perisai Peninjau (SKPP) dan Platun Komando TDDB.
Hadir bagi menyaksikan perlaksaan ‘Eksesais Gempur Wira’ tersebut ialah Kolonel Muhammad Wata bin Abdullah Awat, Pemangku Pemerintah TDDB. Turut hadir juga adalah Kolonel Mohammad Fakaruddin Zuraidie bin Haji Ramli, Pemerintah Medan TDDB, Kolonel Erwan bin Haji Ibrahim, Ketua Staf TDDB serta Pegawai-Pegawai Kanan yang lain.
Senario latihan mensimulasikan kawasan yang telah ditawan oleh musuh yang terdiri daripada Pos Pemerhatian Musuh (OP), di mana Platun Komando TDDB telah dikerahkan untuk memusnahkan OP musuh tersebut. Perlaksanaan operasi tersebut disokong oleh elemen penembak tepat daripada PGK 3Bn TDDB serta kuasa tembakan yang diberikan oleh Platun HMG 3Bn TDDB dan SKPP TDDB, manakala kedudukan musuh dimusnahkan oleh anggota-anggota Kompeni Repal daripada 3Bn TDDB sebagai bantuan kepada peserta Kursus Tempur Ketua Platun dan Platun Sarjan SI TDDB.
Latihan ini bertujuan untuk memperkukuhkan kompetensi dan kecekapan pengendalian senjata dalam kalangan peserta kursus tempur Ketua Platun dan Platun sarjan dan anggota-anggota daripada 3Bn TDDB, di samping mempertingkatkan lagi koordinasi serta keberkesanan dalam pelaksanaan latihan bersepadu di peringkat batalion.
