BERAKAS GARISSON, Friday, 12 November 2021 – Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) virtually attended the 22nd ASEAN Chief of Army Multilateral Meeting (22nd ACAMM) hosted by the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
The meeting was officiated by Vice – Senior General Soe Win, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, Commander-in-Chief (Army), Republic of the Union of Myanmar. The theme for this year’s ACAMM is “The Role of ASEAN Armies in The Process of Rehabilitation After the Covid-19 Pandemic”.
In his speech, the Commander of RBLF shared the current COVID-19 situation in Brunei Darussalam. He also highlighted the RBLF’s steadfast commitment in assisting the country and how it will remain to play a significant and complementary role to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. As the pandemic remains as a regional priority concern, he emphasised that RBLF will continue to maximise its capacity to contribute to both the national and regional’s strategic responsibilities while also utilising what has been collectively gained from ACAMM as well as other multilateral platforms.
The meeting continued with the speech from each country in which all Chief of Armies mentioned the respective roles of their armed forces in supporting the government in terms of logistics and manpower to curb the spread of COVID-19.
The meeting concludes with the handover chairmanships and followed by the speech from the next hosting country, the Deputy Chief of the General Staff, Vietnam People’s Army as the Chairman of 23rd ACAMM. The Socialist Republic of Vietnam will also host the ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet (AARM), ASEAN Sergeant Majors Annual Meeting (ASMAM) and ASEAN Armies Information Sharing Workshop (AAISW) in 2022.
TENTERA DARAT DIRAJA BRUNEI MENGHADIRI ASEAN CHIEFS OF ARMY MULTILATERAL MEETING KE-22 SECARA MAYA
BERAKAS GARISON, Jumaat, 12 November 2021 – Brigedier Jeneral Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Pemerintah Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei telah menghadiri Mesyuarat 22nd ASEAN Chief of Army Multilateral Meeting (22nd ACAMM) yang telah dipengerusikan oleh Republik Sosialis Myanmar secara maya.
Mesyuarat tersebut dibuka secara rasmi oleh Vice – Senior General Soe Win, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, Commander-in-Chief (Army), Republik Sosialis Vietnam. Tema ACAMM pada tahun ini adalah “The Role of ASEAN Armies in The Process of Rehabilitation After the Covid-19 Pandemic”.
Dalam ucapan beliau, Pemerintah TDDB telah mengongsikan tentang situasi terkini jangkitan COVID-19 di Negara Brunei Darussalam. Beliau juga menekankan komitmen TDDB yang kuat dalam membantu negara serta akan terus memainkan peranan penting untuk saling melengkapi bagi memerangi pandemik COVID-19. Memandangkan wabak tersebut akan kekal sebagai kebimbangan keutamaan serantau, beliau menekankan bahawa komitmen TDDB akan diteruskan dengan usaha untuk memaksimumkan kapasitinya untuk menyumbang kepada tanggungjawab strategik negara dan serantau disamping menggunakan apa yang telah diperoleh secara kolektif daripada ACAMM serta platform pelbagai hala yang lain.
Mesyuarat diteruskan dengan pembentangan daripada semua negara yang terlibat, di mana Chief of Army dari semua negara telah menyebut tentang peranan tentera masing-masing bagi menyokong kerajaan dari segi logistik dan tenaga manusia dalam membendung penularan COVID-19.
Mesyuarat tersebut di akhiri dengan upacara penyerahan pengerusi mesyuarat dan ucapan daripada Deputy Chief of the General Staff, Vietnam People’s Army selaku pengerusi ACAMM ke-23. Republik Sosialis Vietnam yang akan menjadi tuan rumah bagi ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet (AARM), ASEAN Sergeant Majors Annual Meeting (ASMAM) dan ASEAN Armies Information Sharing Workshop (AAISW) pada tahun 2022.
