Present as the Guest of Honour (GOH) was Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Saifulrizal bin Abdul Latif,Commander of the RBLF. Also present were Deputy Permanent Secretary (Development and Maintenance), Military Directors, RBAF Engineering Officers and senior officers from Royal Brunei Land Force, Officers and personnel from Land Engineering.
The ceremony began with the recitation of surah Al-Fatihah led by Captain Md Farid bin Md Raffi, from the RBAF Religious Directorate. The ceremony then continued with welcoming remarks from Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Aiman Syazwi bin Abdul Rahim, Commanding Officer of LE CSS RBLF followed by the presentation of awards to recipients by the GOH. A total of eight awards were given to selected recipients. Best Automotive Technician Award was given to Corporal Pengiran Jeffree bin Pengiran Abdul Rahman, Best Electronic Technician Award was given to Corporal Hasrul Nazren bin Brahim, Best Armament Technician Award was given to Corporal Mohd Waqiuddin bin Haji Awang Abdi, Best Supervisor Award was given to Sergeant Muhammad Hafizul Azri bin Abdul Rahman, Best Engineer Award was given to TEMD Pengiran Noorasmawi bin Pengiran Haji Othman, Best Technician (Civilian) award was given to Haji Norhamdini Shukreni bin Haji Abdul Hamid and Best Non-technical Vocation Award was given to Corporal Muhammad Nur Asfuri bin Haji Yussof. Meanwhile, Best Light Aid Detachment (LAD) Award was given to Armoured Recce Squadron LAD.
The presentation of awards also includes the Work Improvement Teams (WITs) Competition for the year 2022 where highlighted the renovation projects, improvements and new creations on processes, workflow methods, and equipment. The competition was participated by 10 participants consisting of technicians and engineers from Land Engineering units and a total of three awards have been presented for WITs competition. The first award is Gold Award which was won by “NVIS Portable HF Antenna” from Signal Work Service, Signal Squadron, secondly is the Silver Award won by “Driving License RBAF” from Automotive Section Penanjong Workshop and third award is the Bronze Award won by “Portable Falcon III Intercomm System” from Electronic Section, Bolkiah Workshop. Towards the end of the event, the guest of honour was then brought to view the exhibition of WITs projects.
The ceremony is a prestigious annual event for Land Engineering organisation aimed at providing appreciation and recognition to personnel who have served outstanding in carrying out their duties, besides as to increase motivation, competitiveness and productivity among soldiers, in line with the RBAF Engineering Development Program.
