SUNGAI AKAR CAMP, Thursday, 23rd July 2026 – The Dental Services, Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF), held the closing ceremony for the Radiation Safety Awareness Course at the Royal Guards Regiment Headquarters, Sungai Akar Camp. A total of 27 personnel, including civilian staff, had completed the course, which was conducted from 22nd to 23rd July 2026. The closing was officiated by Colonel Dr Jefri bin Haji Abdul Razak, Chief Dental Services, RBLF.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by the presentation of certificates to all course participants and remarks by the Chief Dental Services. Throughout the course, participants were equipped with fundamental knowledge and practical skills in radiation safety, risk management, and the safe operation of radiation-emitting equipment to further strengthen the competency of every General Radiation Worker (GRW) in carrying out their duties safely and effectively. The course was conducted in accordance with the mandatory requirements of the Safety, Health and Environment National Authority (SHENA), which requires all General Radiation Workers (GRWs) to undergo radiation safety training at least once every three years.
KURSUS RADIATION SAFETY AWARENESS BERAKHIR
PERKHEMAHAN SUNGAI AKAR, Khamis, 23 Julai 2026 – Khidmat Pergigian, Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB), telah mengadakan Majlis Penutup bagi Kursus Radiation Safety Awareness yang berlangsung di Markas Rejimen Pengawal Diraja, Perkhemahan Sungai Akar. Seramai 27 anggota termasuk kakitangan awam telah berjaya menamatkan kursus yang berlangsung dari 22 hingga 23 Julai 2026. Majlis penutup telah disempurnakan oleh Kolonel Dr Jefri bin Haji Abdul Razak, Ketua Khidmat Pergigian TDDB.
Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah, diikuti dengan penyampaian sijil kepada para peserta kursus serta ucapan daripada Ketua Khidmat Pergigian. Sepanjang kursus, para peserta telah didedahkan kepada pengetahuan dan kemahiran asas berkaitan keselamatan radiasi, pengurusan risiko serta prosedur pengendalian peralatan radiasi secara selamat bagi memperkukuhkan kompetensi setiap General Radiation Worker (GRW) dalam melaksanakan tugas dengan selamat dan berkesan. Kursus ini dilaksanakan selaras dengan keperluan mandatori yang ditetapkan oleh Safety, Health and Environment National Authority (SHENA), yang mewajibkan semua General Radiation Workers (GRWs) menghadiri latihan keselamatan radiasi sekurang-kurangnya sekali dalam tempoh tiga tahun.
