BERAKAS GARISSON, Friday 16 August 2019 – The Opening Ceremony for Exercise SEMANGAT WAJA 7 took place at the First Battalion RBLF Parade Square, Berakas Garrison.
Present as the guest of honour for the ceremony was Colonel Azman bin Haji Bangkol, Chief of Staff RBLF. Also present during the ceremony were Commanding Officers, Commandants, Senior officers, officers and RBLF personnel.
Upon arrival, the Chief of Staff received the honourary salute followed by an inspection of the parade comprised of 750 personnel from various units within the RBLF led by Major Awang Haji Zuraihi bin Awang Ash’ari, Deputy Commanding Officer, 1Bn RBLF. The ceremony was followed by the guest of honour’s speech and the presentation of armbands to the Exercise Director, Chief Umpire and Chief Enemy. The ceremony concluded with the recital of Doa Selamat.
Exercise SEMANGAT WAJA 7 will take place from 16 August 2019 to 21 August 2019. This exercise serves to assess the level of preparedness of the Royal Brunei Land Force in various operations and as preparation for the upcoming RBAF exercise taking place this year.
UPACARA PEMBUKAAN EKSESAIS SEMANGAT WAJA 7
BERAKAS GARISON, Jumaat 16 Ogos 2019 – Upacara pembukaan rasmi Eksesais SEMANGAT WAJA 7 bagi tahun 2019 telah diadakan di Padang Kawad Batalion Pertama Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (1Bn TDDB), Berakas Garison.
Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat semasa upacara tersebut ialah Yang Mulia Kolonel Azman bin Haji Bangkol, Ketua Staf TDDB. Turut hadir ialah Pegawai-Pegawai Pemerintah Batalion, Komandan – Komandan, pegawai-pegawai kanan TDDB, pegawai-pegawai dan anggota TDDB.
Sejurus tiba, Tetamu Kehormat menerima tabik hormat dan diteruskan dengan pemeriksaan barisan yang melibatkan 750 anggota yang diketuai oleh Mejar Awang Haji Zuraihi bin Haji Awang Ash’ari, Timbalan Pemerintah 1Bn TDDB. Upacara diteruskan dengan penyampaian ucapan dan perasmian pembukaan Eksesais SEMANGAT WAJA 7 sebelum diteruskan dengan pemasangan toha kepada Ketua Pusat Kawalan Eksesais, Ketua Wasit dan Ketua Musuh. Majlis diakhiri dengan bacaan Doa Selamat.
Eksesais SEMANGAT WAJA 7 akan bermula pada 16 Ogos 2019 sehingga 21 Ogos 2019. Ianya bertujuan untuk menguji tahap kesiapsiagaan Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei dalam beberapa operasi dan persiapan bagi eksesais ABDB yang akan datang.
