EXERCISE BRUMAL SETIA 16/2024 AND MERTAK BERSATU 14/2024 CLOSING EVENT
PENANJONG GARRISON, Thursday, 26th September 2024 – The Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) and the 22nd Royal Malay Regiment, 5th Brigade (22 RAMD 5 Bgd) Malaysian Army has officially concluded Exercise BRUMAL SETIA 16/2024 and Exercise MERTAK BERSATU 14/2024, which was held at the Field Firing Area, Binturan Range, Penanjong Garrison. Present to officiate the closing event were Lieutenant Colonel Erwan bin Haji Ibrahim, Acting Field Commander RBLF and Brigadier General Mohd Zamri bin Abdullah, Commander of 5 Bgd, Malaysian Army. The event commenced with an exercise brief delivered by Major Pengiran Haji Abdul Malik bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Azmansham, Acting Operations Officer, 3Bn RBLF. This was followed by a live firing demonstration from the Mortar Platoons of the RBLF battalions and the 22 RAMD 5 Bgd Malaysian Army, and a company level attack.
COMMANDER OF THE EASTERN FIELD COMMAND MALAYSIA ARMY
BERAKAS GARRISON, Wednesday, 25th September 2024 - Brigadier General Haji Mohammad Shanonnizam bin Sulaiman, Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) received a courtesy call today at the RBLF Headquarters from Lieutenant General Dato’ Mohd Sofi bin Md Lepi, Eastern Field Commander Malaysian Army. Also in attendance were Major General Dato’ Noorrul Azril bin Ariffin, General Officer Commanding of the Malaysian Fifth Infantry Division and Chief of Staff RBLF.
FIRST BATTALION HOLDS SEMANGAT MUHIBBAH IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE ROYAL BRUNEI LAND FORCE 62nd ANNIVERSARY
BANGAR CAMP, Tuesday, 24th September 2024 – In conjunction with the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) 62nd Anniversary, the First Battalion RBLF (1Bn RBLF) held a Semangat Muhibbah luncheon at Bangar Camp, Temburong with stakeholders from the Temburong District. In attendance were Brigadier General Haji Mohammad Shanonnizam bin Sulaiman, Commander of the RBLF, Awang Hassan Baha bin Haji Umar, Acting Temburong District Officer, Yang Berhormat Haji Awang Sulaiman bin Haji Nasir, Head of the Labu Estate and Piasau-Piasau Village, Acting Chief of Staff RBLF, Acting Commanding Officer 1Bn RBLF, Government Officers, Security Agencies and Heads of Mukims and Villages.
OPENING CEREMONY EXERCISE BRUMAL SETIA 16/2024 AND MERTAK BERSATU 14/2024
LUMUT CAMP, Saturday, 21st September 2024 – The opening ceremony for Exercise BRUMAL SETIA 16/2024 and MERTAK BERSATU 14/2024 was held at the Third Battalion Royal Brunei Land Force (3Bn RBLF). The exercise is scheduled to take place from 21st until 26th September 2024 involving 3Bn RBLF and 22nd Battalion of the Royal Malay Regiment, 5th Brigade, Malaysian Army (22 RAMD 5 Bgd), as well as Mortar Platoons from each units.
ENGINEERING REGIMENT ROYAL BRUNEI LAND FORCE HELD SERGEANT MAJOR REGIMENT PARADE
PENANJONG GARRISON, Thursday, 19th September 2024 – The Engineer Regiment Royal Brunei Land Force (Engr Regt RBLF) held its first Sergeant Major Regiment (SMR) parade since its inception on 2nd February 2024, which took place at the Field Parade Square, Penanjong Garrison. Present at the ceremony was Warrant Officer 1 Abdul Rashid bin Haji Lamat, Regiment Sergeant Major (RSM) of Engr Regt RBLF.
ROYAL BRUNEI LAND FORCE PARTICIPATED IN THE MASS GATHERING AND PROCESSION FOR THE MAULIDUR RASUL CELEBRATION
BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Monday, 16th September 2024 – A total of 116 Officers and personnel from the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) joined His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam for the mass gathering and parade procession in conjunction with the Maulidur Rasul Celebration at the Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien, Bandar Seri Begawan. A total of 1074 officers and personnel of RBLF have participated in the mass gathering and procession in all districts with the main event in the Brunei-Muara District.
ROYAL BRUNEI LAND FORCE ENLIVENS MAULIDUR RASUL CELEBRATIONS IN MOSQUES ACROSS ALL DISTRICTS

Hijrah, the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) held religious activities at several
mosques and suraus across all districts in Brunei Darussalam. Brigadier General
Haji Mohammad Shanonnizam bin Sulaiman, Commander of the RBLF, along with the
Deputy Commander RBLF, Acting Field Commander RBLF, Senior Officers, Officers
and personnel of the RBLF participated in the activities.
ROYAL BRUNEI LAND FORCE ATTENDS THE SECTION DEFENCE FORCES DENTAL SERVICES (SDFDS) ANNUAL MEETING AND THE FDI ANNUAL WORLD DENTAL CONGRESS
Istanbul, Türkiye, 15th September 2024 – Colonel (Dr) Jefri bin Haji Abdul Razak, Chief Dental Services, Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) attended the Section Defence Forces Dental Services (SDFDS) Annual Meeting and the Fédération Dentaire Internationale (FDI) Annual World Dental Congress (FDI AWDC) that was held from 09th to 15th September 2024 in Istanbul, Türkiye. Attending with him were Lieutenant Colonel (Dr) Hajah Norinda binti Haji Tengah, Deputy Chief Dental Services (Clinical), RBLF and Captain (Dr) Syazirah binti Kuan, Dental Officer of Lumut Camp.
CLOSING CEREMONY OF COLLECTIVE PLANNING EXERCISE (CPE) EKSESAIS SEMANGAT WAJA 08/2024
BERAKAS GARRISON, Friday, 13th September 2024 – The Royal Brunei Land Force held a closing ceremony for the Collective Planning Exercise (CPE) of Exercise SEMANGAT WAJA 08/2024 at the Officers’ Mess, Berakas Garrison. The CPE was conducted from 2nd until 13th September 2024, comprising of RBLF Headquarters, RBLF Field Headquarters and invited Subject Matter Experts from the Royal Brunei Navy, Royal Brunei Air Force and Judge Advocate General’s Office, Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF).
MAJLIS KELUARGA BERKAT IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE 62ND RBLF ANNIVERSARY
TANAH JAMBU, Friday, 13th September 2024 – Majlis Keluarga Berkat was recently held at
Auditorium Hall, Defence Academy in conjunction with the 62nd
Anniversary of Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF), organised by the female
personnel of the RBLF. Present as the distinguished guest of the event was
Pengiran Hajah Rozedah binti Pengiran Haji Sulaiman, spouse of Commander RBLF.
COMMISSIONING AND PROMOTION CEREMONY FOR OFFICER CADET FROM SAFTI MILITARY INSTITUTE
BERAKAS GARRISON, Thursday, 12th September 2024 – By the consent of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Negara Brunei Darussalam, Officer Cadet Muhammad Afiq Hasif bin Abd Salam from Intake 22, Officer Cadet School, Defence Academy of Royal Brunei Armed Forces (OCS DA RBAF) was commissioned and promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. The Commissioning and Promotion Ceremony was held at the Officers’ Mess, Berakas Garrison.
KHATAM AL-QURAN CEREMONY IN CONJUNCTION WITH HIS MAJESTY THE SULTAN AND YANG DI-PERTUAN OF BRUNEI DARUSSALAM’S 78TH BIRTHDAY
BERAKAS GARRISON, Friday, 06th September 2024 – The Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) held Khatam Al-Quran ceremony in conjunction with the 78th birthday celebration of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam simultaneously at all RBLF suraus including Pulau Baru-Baru Mosque with the main event held at Surau Al-Fa’izun, Berakas Garrison. Brigadier General Haji Mohammad Shanonnizam bin Sulaiman, Commander of the RBLF attended the ceremony and were also joined by senior officers, officers and RBLF personnel.
HANDOVER AND TAKEOVER CEREMONY OF THE THIRD BATTALION ROYAL BRUNEI LAND FORCE REGIMENT SERGEANT MAJOR
LUMUT CAMP, Friday, 06th September 2024 – The handover and takeover ceremony of the Regiment Sergeant Major (RSM) Third Battalion Royal Brunei Land Force (3Bn RBLF) was held at the Parade Square 3Bn RBLF, Lumut Camp. In attendance to witness the ceremony were Warrant Officers, Senior Non-Commissioned Officers and personnel of 3Bn RBLF.
PROMOTION CEREMONY FOR ROYAL BRUNEI LAND FORCE WARRANT OFFICERS
BERAKAS GARRISON, Friday, 6th September 2024 – The promotion ceremony for Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) Warrant Officers took place at the Warrant Officers’, Staff Sergeants’ and Sergeants’ Mess, Berakas Garrison. Attending the ceremony and presenting the insignias was Brigadier General Haji Mohammad Shanonnizam bin Sulaiman, Commander of RBLF. Also present were the Acting Field Commander of RBLF, Senior Officers, Officers, Senior Non-Commissioned Officers of RBLF as well as family members of the promoted personnel.
CERTIFICATE PRESENTATION AND CLOSING CEREMONY FOR ADVANCED SIGNAL COURSE
PENANJONG GARRISON, Friday, 06th September 2024 – The Closing Ceremony for the Advanced Signal Course 2024 was held at the School of Infantry, Royal Brunei Land Force (SOI RBLF), Penanjong Garrison. The course was conducted from 28th June 2024 to 06th September 2024 comprising of 21 participants from various units of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces and one from the Gurkha Reserve Unit. Attending the ceremony was Major Nor Mohammad Saufi@Nikmat bin Ahmad, SOI RBLF Acting Deputy Commanding Officer and were joined by officers as well as invited guests.
