22 ROYAL BRUNEI LAND FORCE OFFICERS PROMOTED
BERAKAS GARRISON, Friday, 01st November 2024 - With the consent of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, a total of 53 officers from the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) were promoted at the Officers’ Mess, Berakas Garrison. Among those promoted were 22 officers from the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) consisting of six officers promoted to Substantive Major, five to Acting Major and 11 to Substantive Captain.
UNIVERSITI BRUNEI DARUSSALAM DISCOVERY YEAR STUDENTS’ ATTACHMENT COMPLETED
BOLKIAH GARRISON, Friday, 01 November 2024 – Three nursing undergraduates from Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) completed a three-month Discovery Year (DY) program at the Medical Services Headquarters, Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF), Bolkiah Garrison from 5th August to 31st October 2024.
14 RBLF PERSONNEL COMPLETED THE INTERMEDIATE CHEMICAL, BIOLOGICAL, RADIOLOGICAL AND EXPLOSIVE COURSE
PENANJONG GARRISON, Friday, 1st November 2024 – The School of Military Engineering (SOME), Engineer Regiment, Royal Brunei Land Force (Engr Regt RBLF) RBLF) held a course closing for the Intermediate Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Explosive (CBRE) at the Parade Square, First Squadron (Field), Engr Regt RBLF. A total of 14 personnel from the Second Squadron CBRE had participated in the course conducted from 12th August 2024 to 1st November 2024. Present to officiate the closing was Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Ghazali bin Haji Hussin, Commanding Officer of Engr Regt RBLF.
19TH ADMM-PLUS EXPERTS WORKING GROUP ON MILITARY MEDICINE
JAKARTA, Indonesia, Friday, 01st November 2024 – The Medical Services of the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) led by Lieutenant Colonel (Dr) Ummi Suzeyanna binti Haji Johari, Chief of Medical Services RBLF, attended the 19th ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting Plus Experts’ Working Group on Military Medicine (ADMM-Plus EWG on MM). The meeting, co-chaired by the Republic of Indonesia and the United States of America for the period of 2024 – 2027, was held in Jakarta from 29th October to 1st November 2024 with the theme “Together Towards Health Resilience”.
RBLF ATTENDED BRUNEI-INDONESIA ARMY WORKING GROUP MEETING SERIES 14/2024
JAKARTA, INDONESIA, Friday, 01 November 2024 – The Indonesian Army hosted the 14th Brunei-Indonesia Army Working Group (14th BRUNESIA AWG) meeting at the Novotel Hotel, Jakarta, Republic of Indonesia from 28th October 2024 to 01 November 2024. The meeting was co-chaired by Brigadier General TNI Dwi Sasongko, Deputy Training Assistant of the Chief of Army Staff for Military Cooperation and Lieutenant Colonel Erwan bin Haji Ibrahim, Chief of Staff Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF).
THE CLOSING OF ARMOURED PERSONNEL CARRIER CREW COMMANDER ADVANCE COURSE
PENANJONG GARRISON, Friday, 1st November 2024 – A total of 18 Armoured Reconnaissance Squadron, Royal Brunei Land Force (ARS RBLF) had completed the Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) Crew Commander Advanced Course with a closing officiated by Lieutenant Colonel Erawan bin Haji Abu Bakar, Chief of Staff, Field Headquarters RBLF. The event took place at the ARS Auditorium Hall, Penanjong Garrison.

BERAKAS GARRISON, Thursday, 31st October 2024 – Brigadier General Haji Mohammad Shanonnizam bin Sulaiman, Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF), received an introductory call from Commodore Javed Iqbal Khan Niazi, the Non-Resident Defence Adviser of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan accredited to Brunei Darussalam. Also present was the Acting Chief of Staff, RBLF.
SECOND BATTALION ROYAL BRUNEI LAND FORCE HOLDS SEMANGAT MUHIBBAH IN CONJUNCTION WITH RBLF 62nd ANNIVERSARY
TUTONG CAMP, Thursday, 31st October 2024 – In conjunction with the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) 62nd Anniversary, the Second Battalion Royal Brunei Land Force (2Bn RBLF) held a Semangat Muhibbah luncheon at Tutong Camp with stakeholders from the Tutong District. In attendance were Brigadier General Haji Mohammad Shanonnizam bin Sulaiman, Commander of the RBLF, Awangku Arif Anuar bin Pengiran Haji Ahmad, Acting Tutong District Officer, Commanding Officer of 2Bn RBLF, Government Officers, Security Agencies and Heads of Mukims and Villages.
CLOSING CEREMONY FOR COMPANY COMMANDER COURSE 2024
PENANJONG GARRISON, Monday, 28 October 2024 – The School of Infantry, Royal Brunei Land Force (SOI RBLF) held a closing for the Company Commander Course 2024 at the Officers’ Mess, Penanjong Garrison. A total of 13 officers consisting of five from the RBLF, two from the Royal Brunei Navy, two from the Training Institute Royal Brunei Armed Forces (TI RBAF), three from the Ministry of Defence and one from the Special Forces Regiment RBAF had completed the course which started from 2nd September to 28th October 2024.
SECTION COMMANDER COURSE 2024 CLOSING EVENT
PENANJONG GARRISON, Monday, 28th October 2024 – The School of Infantry, Royal Brunei Land Force (SOI RBLF) held a closing event for the Section Commander Course 2024 at the Parade Square, SOI RBLF, Penanjong Garrison. A total of 38 personnel participated in the course which was conducted from 2nd September 2024 until 25th October 2024. Present at the event was Lieutenant Colonel Faizal Azly bin Haji Rosli, Commanding Officer SOI RBLF.
ROYAL BRUNEI LAND FORCE HELD A SURAH YAASIN AND TAHLIL EVENT AT THE ROYAL MAUSOLEUM
BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Friday, 25th October 2024 – In conjunction with the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) 63rd Anniversary, the RBLF held a Surah Yassin and Tahlil event for Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam, Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Bendahara Pengiran Anak Abdul Rahman and Al-Marhum His Royal Highness Prince Haji ‘Abdul ‘Azim ibni Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah at the Royal Mausoleum. The event were attended by Brigadier General Haji Mohammad Shanonnizam bin Sulaiman, Commander of RBLF, Deputy Commander of RBLF, senior leadership as well as officers and personnel from the RBLF. The mass recitation of Surah Yaasin and Tahlil was led by Captain Muhd Nasyrul Wafiy bin Haji Mahdini from the Royal Brunei Armed Forces Religious Directorate.
REGIONAL WORKSHOP ON IMPLEMENTING THE BIOLOGICAL WEAPONS CONVENTION AND PROMOTING BIOSAFETY AND BIOSECURITY IN SOUTHEAST ASIA
SHENZEN, PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA, Friday, 25th October 2024 - The Engineer Regiment, Royal Brunei Land Force (Engr Regt RBLF) participated in the Regional Workshop on Implementing the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC) and promoting Biosafety and Biosecurity in Southeast Asia in Shenzen, Guangdong Province, People’s Republic of China. The workshop was held over three days from 23rd to 25th October 2024, co-hosted by the Government of the People’s Republic of China and the Government of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.
ROYAL BRUNEI LAND FORCE AND SINGAPORE ARMY BILATERAL SKILL AT ARMS TRAINING
PENANJONG GARRISON, Friday, 18th October 2024 – The Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) and the Singapore Army conducted bilateral Skills at Arms Training from 8th October 2024 to 18th October 2024 at the Binturan Range, Penanjong Garrison, consisting of 77 personnel. The training also received a visit from Colonel Alan Poh Choon Wei, Chief of Staff 9th Singapore Division, Singapore Army, who was welcomed by Lieutenant Colonel Haji Arsahrin bin Haji Ariff, Brunei Darussalam’s Contingent Commander for the 32nd ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet.
PROMOTION EVENTS FOR ROYAL BRUNEI LAND FORCE PERSONNEL
BERAKAS GARRISON, Monday, 21st October 2024 – The promotion events for Senior Non-Commissioned Officers (SNCOs) and Junior Non-Commissioned Officers (JNCOs) from various Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) sub-units were held at respective units throughout the week. The promoted personnel consisted of the RBLF Headquarters, Company Headquarters RBLF, Field Headquarters RBLF, First Battalion RBLF, Third Battalion RBLF, Royal Guards Regiment RBLF and Combat Boat Squadron RBLF, attended by RBLF Senior Officers, Officers and personnel.
ROYAL BRUNEI LAND FORCE CHAMPION OF THE ROYAL BRUNEI ARMED FORCES HALF MARATHON AND 10KM RACE 2024
PENANJONG GARRISON, Thursday, 17 October 2024 – The Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) emerged as the overall champion in the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Half Marathon and 10km Race 2024, held at the Mini Stadium, Penanjong Garrison. Participated alongside was the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF), and the Ministry of Defence teams made up of personnel from the Ministry of Defence, Joint Force Headquarters RBAF (JFHQ RBAF), Defence Academy RBAF (DA RBAF), Training Institute RBAF (TI RBAF) and Special Forces Regiment (SFR).
