PROMOTION EVENTS FOR SECOND BATTALION ROYAL BRUNEI LAND FORCE PERSONNEL
TUTONG CAMP, Friday, 22nd November 2024 – The Second Battalion Royal Brunei Land Force (2Bn RBLF) conducted promotion events held at two different venues; Warrant Officer, Staff Sergeant and Sergeant’s Mess for the Senior Non-Commissioned Officers (SNCOs), whereas the NCOs promotion ceremony took place at Corporal Club.
COMMUNITY RELATIONS ACTIVITY IN CONJUNCTION WITH COOPERATION AFLOAT READINESS AND TRAINING 30/2024
BENGKURONG, Wednesday, 20th November 2024 – The 30th edition of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) 2024, held in Brunei Darussalam, continues its series of community outreach initiatives with a charity project at Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam in Kampong Bengkurong. A total of 10 Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) personnel and 10 United States Navy personnel collaborated in a Community Relations (COMREL) efforts, building wooden chairs and assisting with painting projects at the centre.
EXERCISE RINTIS BERSAMA 24/2024 OFFICIALLY CLOSED
REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE, Wednesday 20th November 2024 – Exercise RINTIS BERSAMA 24/2024 (XRB 24/2024) has officially ended with a closing ceremony held at the Murai Urban Training Facility, Republic of Singapore. The ceremony commenced with a parade inspection, followed by closing remarks by Lieutenant Colonel Mohammed Shalleh bin Haji Ismail, Head of Doctrine, Royal Brunei Land Force Headquarters (RBLF HQ). In his speech, he emphasised the importance of XRB as a significant platform for valuable exchange of knowledge, experiences and expertise, while strengthening mutual understanding and further foster the bilateral relationships between both armies. Also in attendance was Colonel Lim Shumin, Commander of the Army Combat Engineer Group, Singapore Army.
ROYAL BRUNEI LAND FORCE SENIOR OFFICER COMPLETED THE SENIOR FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM FOR SENIOR LEADERS AT THE LEE KUAN YEW SCHOOL OF PUBLIC POLICY NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF SINGAPORE
REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE, Friday, 15 November 2024 – Lieutenant Colonel Mushiri Zulkhibri bin Haji Awang, the Head of Capability Development from the Royal Brunei Land Force along with two senior officers respectively from the Royal Brunei Navy and Royal Brunei Air Force, has successfully completed the Senior Fellowship Program for Senior Leaders at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (LKYSPP), National University of Singapore.
ROYAL BRUNEI LAND FORCE COMMANDER RECEIVES FAREWELL CALL FROM OUTGOING INDONESIAN DEFENCE ATTACHÉ
BERAKAS GARRISON, Thursday, 14th November 2024 – Brigadier General Haji Mohammad Shanonnizam bin Sulaiman, Commander of Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) received a farewell call from Colonel Arm (Army) Doddy Suhadiman, the outgoing Indonesian Defence Attaché to Brunei Darussalam.
THE 32ND ASEAN ARMIES RIFLE MEET OFFICIALLY KICKED OFF
THE REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES, Thursday, 14th November 2024 – The 32nd ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet (AARM) 2024 has commenced in a ceremony held at the Philippine Army Marksmanship Training Facility in Camp O’Donnell, Capas, Tarlac, the Republic of the Philippines. The ceremony began with a march past of the shooting contingents, followed by the flag hoisting. Officiating the 32nd AARM was Major General Leodevic B. Guinid, Vice Commander of the Philippine Army, who emphasised the significance of AARM as a platform for strengthening regional cooperation during the opening. Colonel Muhammad Wata bin Abdullah Awat, Deputy Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Force, together with the other ASEAN Armies representative had attended the ceremony. A total of 44 RBLF personnel participates in the competition, scheduled to take place from 15 to 20 November 2024.
SUNGAI SIAMAS PRIMARY SCHOOL EDUCATIONAL TRIP TO FIELD HEADQUARTERS ROYAL BRUNEI LAND FORCE
PENANJONG GARRISON, Thursday, 14th November 2024 – The Field Headquarters Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) welcomed an educational visit from Sungai Siamas Primary School, consisting a group of 60 students and 10 teachers held at the Armour Reconnaissance Squadron RBLF, Penanjong Garrison. The delegates were welcomed by Captain Delson bin Jumat, Training Officer School of Military Engineer, Engineer Regiment, RBLF.
COMMENCEMENT OF EXERCISE RINTIS BERSAMA 24/2024
SUNGEI GEDONG CAMP, REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE – Wednesday, 13th November 2024 – The opening ceremony of Exercise RINTIS BERSAMA 24/2024 (XRB 24/24) took place at Sungei Gedong Camp, Republic of Singapore, involving 40 personnel from the Engineer Regiment, Royal Brunei Land Force (Engr Regt RBLF), 40 from the 38th Battalion Singapore Combat Engineers (38th SCE) and 10 from the Singapore 11th Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence Battalion.
ROYAL BRUNEI LAND FORCE JOINED THE NATIONWIDE BEACH CLEANING CAMPAIGN FOR MARINE DEBRIS “COASTAL MARVEL”
BRUNEI DARUSSALAM, Wednesday, 13th November 2024 – The Ministry of Defence participated in the nationwide beach cleaning campaign for Marine Debris “Coastal Marvel” to support the Master Committee on Cleanliness Issues (JIIK) in protecting the environment of Brunei Darussalam. The campaign was held simultaneously at 11 beaches across three districts namely Jerudong, Berakas Forest Reserve, Mangsalut, Meragang, Muara, Danau, Seri Kenangan, Pengkalan Pinang, Penanjong, Kuala Belait, Seria and Lumut Recreational Beach. Brigadier General Haji Mohammad Shanonnizam bin Sulaiman, Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) joined the clean-up at the Kuala Belait Beach, and all activities were also participated by the District Officers, Heads of Mukims and Villages, as well as residents from respective districts.
RBLF SHOOTING CONTINGENT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 32nd ASEAN ARMIES RIFLES MEET
BERAKAS GARRISON, Friday, 08 November 2024 – The Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) Shooting Contingent consisting of 44 personnel will participate in the 32nd ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet (AARM) which is scheduled to take place from 12 to 23 November 2024 at the Philippines Army Marksmanship Training Facility in Capas, Tarlac, the Republic of the Philippines. The Brunei Darussalam flag was handed over by Brigadier General Haji Mohammad Shanonnizam bin Sulaiman, Commander of the RBLF to Lieutenant Colonel Haji Arsahrin bin Haji Arif, the Contingent Commander, in a ceremony held at the RBLF Headquarters, Berakas Garrison.
RBLF HELD COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAM THROUGH CLEANING CAMPAIGN
BRUNEI MUARA, Friday, 8th November 2024 – The First Battalion Royal Brunei Land Force (1Bn RBLF) conducted a cleaning campaign at Duli Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah Mosque, Kampong Tamoi. The campaign involved 24 personnel led by Major Muhd Rushdi bin Haji Awg Yusof, the Operation and Training Officer 1Bn RBLF. This activity is aimed to encourage the desire to serve and contribute to the community as part of RBLF effort towards community outreach, while further strengthening the spiritual development and teamwork amongst RBLF personnel.
EXERCISE RINTIS BERSAMA 24/2024 FLAG HANDOVER CEREMONY
BERAKAS GARRISON, Thursday, 07th November 2024 – The Flag Handover Ceremony for Exercise RINTIS BERSAMA 24/2024 was held today at the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) Headquarters, Berakas Garrison. On hand to present the flag was Brigadier General Haji Mohammad Shanonnizam bin Sulaiman, the Commander of RBLF to Major Muhammad Syuaib bin Haji Meraj, the Head of Contingent of the exercise.
RBLF SENIOR OFFICER ATTENDED THE 23RD ROK-UN JOINT CONFERENCE ON DISARMAMENT AND NON-PROLIFERATION ISSUES
Seoul, Republic of Korea, Wednesday, November 6, 2024 – Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Ghazali bin Haji Hussin, Commanding Officer Engineer Regiment, Royal Brunei Land Force as Brunei Darussalam representative for the National Contact Point on Biological Weapons Convention (BWC) attended the 23rd ROK-UN Joint Conference on Disarmament and Non-Proliferation Issues held in Seoul, Republic of Korea. This high-level conference brought together international experts in the BWC, government officials, academics and international organisations to discuss the need to strengthen global biological security as well as approaches for the BWC to adapt to new and modern technologies, risks and its implications for society. The conference took place from 4th to 6th November 2024 with the theme “The Biological Weapons Convention at Fifty: Strengthening Global Biological Security in a Rapidly Evolving Technological Landscape”.
ROYAL BRUNEI LAND FORCE CELEBRATED ITS 63rd ANNIVERSARY
TUTONG CAMP, Monday, 04th November 2024 - The Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) celebrated its 63rd anniversary with a grand parade involving 948 personnel at the Second Battalion (2Bn) RBLF’s Parade Square, Tutong Camp. Upon arrival, Brigadier General Haji Mohammad Shanonnizam bin Sulaiman, Commander RBLF received the honourary salute from the parade, commanded by Major Abdul Rahim bin Haji Idris, Second in Command of the Engineer Regiment RBLF. Also in attendance were the Deputy Commander of RBLF, Senior Land Force Officers across the Ministry of Defence, Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) and RBLF, as well as officers and other ranks of RBLF.
DOA KESYUKURAN EVENT IN CONJUNCTION WITH RBLF 63rd ANNIVERSARY
BERAKAS GARRISON, Sunday, 3th November 2024 – The Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) held a Doa Kesyukuran event in conjunction with its 63rd Anniversary celebration at all RBLF suraus, including Pulau Baru-Baru Mosque. In attendance at Surau Al-Fa’izun, Berakas Garrison was Brigadier General Haji Mohammad Shanonnizam bin Sulaiman, Commander of the RBLF and were also joined by RBLF senior officers, officers and personnel.
