ISRA’ AND MI’RAJ CELEBRATION
BERAKAS GARRISON, Thursday, 29 January 2025 – The Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) held an event marking Isra’ and Mi’raj 1446 Hijrah celebration, simultaneously at all RBLF Suraus including Pulau Baru-Baru Mosque with the main event taking place at Surau Al-Fai’zun, Berakas Garrison. Lieutenant Colonel Erwan bin Haji Ibrahim, RBLF Chief of Staff attended the event as the Guest of Honour, and were also joined by senior officers, officers and RBLF personnel.
ENHANCING SECURITY A SHARED RESPONSIBILITY
BERAKAS GARRISON, Tuesday, 28th January 2025 – The Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF), through its Security Section, is committed to enhance and strengthen security measures of the unit by conducting a security session held at Dewan Pahlawan, Berakas Garrison. In attendance was Colonel Muhammad Wata bin Abdullah Awat, Acting Commander RBLF and were joined by respective security appointment holders.
CULTIVATING GOOD VALUES THROUGH COMMUNITY SERVICE
KAMPONG SUNGAI KELUGOS, Friday, 25 January 2025 – The Royal Brunei Land Forces continue to serve the community through a collaborative effort with the local residents. Working alongside with the committee of Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah (PAIPAS) Mosque, the Second Battalion RBLF has carried out cleaning campaign activity at the mosque vicinity in Kampong Sungai Kelugos, Tutong, which took place from 20th to 24th January 2025.
PROVIDING ASSISTANCE TO FLOOD VICTIMS
TUTONG, Saturday, 25th January 2025 – Severe weather conditions in Brunei Darussalam have led to heavy rainfall and flooding in several low-lying areas at the Tutong District and have rendered several residential areas and rural roads inaccessible. In assisting the affected residents, the Second Battalion Royal Brunei Land Forces (2Bn RBLF) has deployed 18 personnel led by Lieutenant Abdul Azizul Hakim bin Yahya from the ‘A’ Company, particularly along Jalan Kampong Panchong and Jalan Kuala Ungar – Benutan, providing transportation to the flood victims.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Friday, 24th January 2025 – A total of 124 Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) personnel from the Field Headquarters, First Battalion, Second Battalion, Engineer Regiment, Armoured Reconnaissance Squadron, Combat Boat Squadron and Medical Services, were promoted in an event held at respective units.
STRENGTHENING TIES: ACTING COMMANDER RBLF WELCOMES DEPUTY COMMANDER USINDOPACOM
BERAKAS GARRISON, Friday, 24 January 2025 – Colonel Muhammad Wata bin Abdullah Awat, Acting Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) received a courtesy call from Lieutenant General Joshua M. Rudd, Deputy Commander of the United States Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) held at the RBLF Headquarters, Berakas Garrison.
THE COMPLETION OF INTERMEDIATE CLERK COURSE
PENANJONG GARRISON, Thursday, 23 January 2025 – The Intermediate Clerk Course, a training program designed to equip the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) personnel with advanced clerical skills, has successfully concluded with a closing event held at Dewan Nikmat, Training Institute (TI) RBAF, Penanjong Garrison. The two-week course was organised by the Field Headquarters Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) from 2nd January 2025 to 23rd January 2025. A total of 72 personnel from the RBLF, TI RBAF and the Ministry of Defence attended the course, honing their abilities in record-keeping, administrative procedures, and other critical office management functions. Officiating the closing was Lieutenant Colonel Erawan bin Haji Abu Bakar, Chief of Staff, Field Headquarters RBLF.

TANAH JAMBU, Thursday, 23 January 2025 – Officer Cadets from the 23rd Intake of the Officer Cadet School, Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) were commissioned in a ceremony held at the Parade Square, Defence Academy, Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF) in Kampung Tanah Jambu.
EXPLORING THE DENTAL FIELD: A STUDY VISIT
BERAKAS GARRISON, Monday, 20th January 2025 – The Dental Services Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) recently welcomed 28 students from the Bachelor of Dental Health Science Programme and accompanied by two faculty members from the Institute of Health Sciences, Universiti Brunei Darussalam. The delegation was welcomed by the Chief Dental Services, Colonel (Dr) Jefri bin Haji Abdul Razak who then delivered an introductory brief on the Dental Services RBLF.
COMBAT MEDICS READY TO SERVE
BOLKIAH GARRISON, Monday, 20 January 2025 – A total of 27 participants had completed the nine-week program of Combat Medic Course (CMC) 02/2024 with a closing event held at Ibnu Sina Lecture Hall, Medical Services, Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF), Bolkiah Garrison recently. The event was attended by Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Ummi Suzeyanna binti Haji Johari, Chief Medical Services RBLF, along with senior officers, instructors and representatives from the RBLF, Royal Brunei Navy, Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF), Special Forces Regiment Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) and the Prisons Department.
PROMOTION ACHIEVED
BERAKAS GARRISON, Friday, 17th January 2025 – A total of 19 Senior Non-Commissioned Officers (SNCOs) from the Royal Brunei Land Forces Headquarters (RBLF HQ), HQ Company, Royal Guards Regiment and School of Infantry were promoted consisting of 18 Acting Staff Sergeants to Substantive Staff Sergeants and one Sergeant to Substantive Staff Sergeant. The rank insignias were presented by Lieutenant Colonel Erwan bin Haji Ibrahim, Chief of Staff of RBLF, held at the Warrant Officers’, Staff Sergeants’ and Sergeants’ Mess, Berakas Garrison. Also in attendance were Senior Officers, officers and family members of promoted members. On this occasion, the RBLF leadership would like to extend heartiest congratulations to all personnel who were promoted for their achievements.
REGIMENTAL SIGNAL INSTRUCTOR COURSE COMPLETED
PENANJONG GARRISON, Friday, 17th January 2025 – Lieutenant Colonel Faizal Azly bin Haji Rosli, Commanding Officer of the School of Infantry Royal Brunei Land Forces (SOI RBLF), officiated the closing event for the Regimental Signal Instructor Course with certificates presentation held at SOI RBLF Headquarters, Penanjong Garrison. The course, conducted by the RBLF Signal Training Wing, was attended by 14 participants from the RBLF, Royal Brunei Air Force, Joint Force Headquarters Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), and Special Force Regiment RBAF from 25 October 2024 to 17 January 2025.

BERAKAS GARRISON, Friday, 10th January 2025 – Brigadier General Haji Mohammad Shanonnizam bin Sulaiman, Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF), bids farewell in a parade ceremony held at the First Battalion RBLF Parade Square, Berakas Garrison. In attendance were the RBLF Deputy Commander, Field Commander, Chief of Staff RBLF, Senior Officers, Officers as well as RBLF personnel.

BERAKAS GARRISON, Friday, 10th January 2025 – The Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) organised a Regimental Dinner in conjunction with the farewell of RBLF Commander, Brigadier General Haji Mohammad Shanonnizam bin Sulaiman. The event was held at the Officers’ Mess, Berakas Garrison, attended by the Deputy Commander of RBLF, Senior Officers, Officers and respective spouses.
COMMANDER OF THE ROYAL BRUNEI LAND FORCES COMMENCED FAREWELL VISITS
BRUNEI DARUSSALAM, Monday, 06th January 2025 – Brigadier General Haji Mohammad Shanonnizam bin Sulaiman, Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) has commenced his farewell visits to various RBLF units. The visit began at the Field Headquarters (HQ) RBLF consisting of Field HQ Company, Engineer Regiment, Armoured Reconnaissance Squadron and Combat Boat Squadron, and subsequently the School of Infantry, Second Battalion and Third Battalion RBLF.
