RBLF KEEPS UP MOSQUES CLEANING EFFORTS
BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Friday, 28th February 2025 – The Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) continued its commitment to community service with another successful mosques cleaning initiative throughout the week. Among the mosques were Kampung Panchor Murai Mosque, Jefri Bolkiah Mosque in Kampung Batong, Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah Mosque in Sungai Akar, Kampung Puni Mosque in Bangar and Kampung Bebuloh Religious Activity Centre.
NEWLY COMMISSIONED OFFICERS COMPLETED INDUCTION PROGRAMME
BERAKAS GARRISON, Friday, 28th February 2025 – A total of 25 Newly Commissioned Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) Officers from the Officer Cadet School Intake 23 had successfully completed the Induction Programme, with the closing event held at Officers’ Mess, Berakas Garrison. The five-day programme, which commenced on 25th February 2025 until 28th February 2025 was organised by the Dental Services and Medical Services RBLF

RBAF INTER-WOMEN’S FINAL NETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP 2024/2025
BOLKIAH GARRISON, Friday, 28th February 2025 – The Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) has organised the Royal Brunei Armed Forces Inter-Women’s Final Netball Championship 2024/2025 at the Bolkiah Garrison Gymnasium. The championship, which took place over two days, from 27th to 28th February 2025, saw participation of four teams namely the RBLF, Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF), and a Combined Team comprising personnel from the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF), Joint Force Headquarters RBAF, and Training Institute RBAF. Present to deliver the winning prizes was Colonel Hajah Suriyati binti Haji Junaidi, Head of the RBAF Inspectorate Unit, and were joined by female senior officers, officers, and personnel of the RBAF.
FIRST BRUNEI – AUSTRALIA LAND WORKING GROUP
BERAKAS GARRISON, Friday, 28 February 2025 – The Australian Army hosted the 1st Brunei – Australia Land Working Group with the Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) which was held via Video Teleconference (VTC) at the RBLF Headquarters. The meeting was Co-chaired by Lieutenant Colonel Erwan bin Haji Ibrahim, Chief of Staff of the RBLF and Colonel Jo Richards, Director International Engagement of the Australian Army. Also present were Lieutenant Colonel Pengiran Haji Saiful Amirul Bakri bin Pengiran Haji Ramlee, Brunei Darussalam Defence Adviser to Australia, Lieutenant Colonel Paul Sanderson, Australia Defence Adviser to Brunei Darussalam, and other key personnel.
HEAD OF BAKTI HANDOVER EVENT
BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Friday, 28th February 2025 - The handover event for the Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) Head of the Wives’ Welfare Body (BAKTI) along with a farewell event was held recently at Urban Green Restaurant in Kiulap. The event commenced with a remark by the outgoing Head of RBLF BAKTI, Pengiran Hajah Rozedah binti Pengiran Haji Sulaiman, who recapped the past activities and initiatives that had been successfully conducted and she further acknowledged the support, commitment and dedication given by all members of RBLF BAKTI throughout her tenure as the head. This was followed by the handing over event with the signing of certificates, marking the handover of responsibilities to the newly appointed Acting Head, Lieutenant Colonel Siti Norlelawati binti Haji Emran. The event then continued with a farewell celebration for retired and posted out committee members.
LAND FORCES SERGEANT MAJOR CHANGE OF COMMAND
BERAKAS GARRISON, Thursday, 27th February 2025 – The Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) held a change of command for the Land Forces Sergeant Major (LFSM) in a ceremony at the First Battalion RBLF Parade Square, Berakas Garrison. The ceremony marked the official handover from the outgoing LFSM, First Warrant Officer Kifley bin Haji Johari, to the newly appointed LFSM, First Warrant Officer Mohammad Haswandi bin Haji Paun.
BOOBY TRAP COURSE COMPLETED
PENANJONG GARRISON, Thursday, 27th February 2025 – Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Ghazali bin Haji Hussin, Commanding Officer of the Engineer Regiment, Royal Brunei Land Forces (Engr Regt RBLF) has officiated the closing for the Booby Trap Course at the Engr Regt Headquarters, RBLF, Penanjong Garrison. A total of 28 personnel from the Engr Regt RBLF, Assault Pioneers from the First, Second and Third Battalion RBLF, as well as the Special Operations Squad, Royal Brunei Police Force (SOS RBPF), had attended the course held from 3rd to 28th February 2025.
RANGE MANAGEMENT 02/2024 END OF COURSE
PENANJONG GARRISON, Thursday, 27th February 2025 – A total of 39 participants from various units of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) had successfully completed the Range Management Course (RMC) 02/2024, which was held from 2nd January 2025 to 27th February 2025, conducted by the School of Infantry, Royal Brunei Land Forces (SOI RBLF). In attendance to officiate the closing was Lieutenant Colonel Erwan bin Haji Ibrahim, Chief of Staff RBLF, at Theatre 1 SOI RBLF, Penanjong Garrison.
KHATAM AL-QURAN CEREMONY IN CONJUNCTION WITH ENGINEER REGIMENT 1ST ANNIVERSARY
PENANJONG GARRISON, Thursday, 27 February 2025 – The Engineer Regiment, Royal Brunei Land Forces (Engr Regt RBLF) held a Khatam Al-Quran event in conjunction with its first anniversary at Surau Al-Hikmah, Penanjong Garrison. 2IC SECTION COURSE CONCLUDED
PENANJONG GARRISON, Wednesday, 26th February 2025 – The Section 2IC Course has concluded with a closing event held at the Parade Square, School of Infantry Royal Brunei Land Forces (SOI RBLF). The course was conducted from 6th January 2025 until 28th February 2025 with the participation of 40 personnel. In attendance to officiate the closing was Lieutenant Colonel Faizal Azly bin Haji Rosli, Commanding Officer SOI RBLF.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Sunday, 23rd February 2025 – His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and members of the Royal Family, has consented to grace Brunei Darussalam’s 41st National Day Celebration Grand Assembly with citizens and residents of the country held at the Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien, Bandar Seri Begawan.

BERAKAS GARRISON, Saturday, 22 February 2025 – Brunei Darussalam marked its 41st National Day celebration with Doa Kesyukuran ceremony at mosques, suraus and religious halls nationwide. The Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) also held similar event simultaneously at all RBLF Suraus including Pulau Baru-Baru Mosque with the focal ceremony at Surau Al-Fa’izun, Berakas Garrison.
SAM BROWNE BELT PRESENTED TO RSM 1BN RBLF
BERAKAS GARRISON, Friday, 21st February 2025 – Lieutenant Colonel Pengiran Ridzamfaizal bin Pengiran Haji Salleh, Commanding Officer of the First Battalion Royal Brunei Land Forces (1Bn RBLF) presented the Sam Browne Belt to First Warrant Officer Mardini bin Haji Kassim, the newly appointed 1Bn RBLF Regimental Sergeant Major (RSM), in an event held at the 1Bn RBLF Headquarters, Berakas Garrison.
