2BN RBLF HELD INTER-UNIT SWIMMING AND WATER POLO COMPETITION
PENANJONG GARRISON, Wednesday, 24th September 2025 – The Second Battalion Royal Brunei Land Forces (2Bn RBLF) organised an Inter-Unit Swimming and Water Polo Competition held at the Penanjong Garrison swimming pool. In attendance to present the prizes was Major Mohammad Sufrien bin Johan, the Commanding Officer of 2Bn RBLF.
2BN RBLF PARTICIPATES IN ‘EKSPEDISI BERBASIKAL SANTAI DAERAH TUTONG’ 2025
TUTONG, Sunday, 21st September 2025 – The Second Battalion of the Royal Brunei Land Forces (2Bn RBLF) participated in the ’Ekspedisi Berbasikal Santai Daerah Tutong’ 2025, held at the Tutong Community Hall Field. The event was organised by the Mukim Consultative Council of Pekan Tutong in collaboration with the Tutong District Office.
KHATAM AL-QUR’AN CEREMONY IN CONJUNCTION WITH HIS MAJESTY THE SULTAN AND YANG DI-PERTUAN OF BRUNEI DARUSSALAM’S 79TH BIRTHDAY
BERAKAS GARRISON, Friday, 19th September 2025 – In conjunction with the 79th birthday celebration of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, the Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) held Khatam Al-Qur’an ceremonies simultaneously at all RBAF suraus, including Pulau Baru-baru Mosque. The main ceremony took place at Surau Al-Fa’izun, Berakas Garrison attended by Colonel Muhammad Wata bin Abdullah Awat, Deputy Commander of the RBLF.
RBLF OFFICER COMPLETED THE 3rd UNITED NATIONS COMPREHENSIVE PROTECTION OF CIVILIAN COURSE
PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA, Friday, 19th September 2025 – Major Amzar Muaz bin Haji Tamit, Officer Commanding of ‘B’ Company, Second Battalion Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) has completed the 3rd United Nations Comprehensive Protection of Civilian Course (PoC) at the Training Base of the College of International Studies, National University of Defense Technology, People’s Republic of China. The course was organised by China’s Peacekeeping Affairs Centre under the Ministry of National Defence, which was held from 8th September 2025 to 19th September 2025.

LUMUT CAMP, Friday, 19th September 2025 – The Third Battalion Royal Brunei Land Forces (3Bn RBLF) organised an Inter-Unit Swimming and Water Polo Competition at the 3Bn RBLF Sports Complex, Lumut Camp. The event was attended by Major Harensuhandy bin Abdullah, Deputy Commanding Officer 3Bn RBLF, and was joined by officers and personnel of 3Bn.
SIGNAL SQUADRON HELD CLEANING CAMPAIGN ACTIVITY
BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Tuesday, 16th September 2025 – In conjunction with its 43rd Anniversary, the Signal Squadron, Combat Service Support, Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF), held a cleaning campaign activity including the recitation of Surah Yaasin, Tahlil and Doa Arwah at the Rangas Besar Muslim Cemetery, Bandar Seri Begawan.
RBLF OFFICER COMPLETED 86th BATTALION TACTICS COURSE
REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE, Tuesday, 16th September 2025 – Major Muhamad Syuaib bin Haji Meraj, Officer Commanding, First Squadron (Field), Engineer Regiment, Royal Brunei Land Forces, has succesfully completed the 86th Battalion Tactic Course (BTC) at the Army Officers’ Advanced School, Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Advanced School, SAFTI Military Institute (SAFTI MI), Republic of Singapore, which was conducted from 6th August 2025 to 16th September 2025. The closing event took place at the Auditorium SAF Advanced School, SAFTI MI, officiated by Brigadier General Wong Shi Ming, Chief of Staff-General Staff, Singapore Army.
EXERCISE MALBRU SETIA 17/2025 AND MERTAK BERSATU 15/2025 CLOSING CEREMONY
HUTAN LAMBIR MIRI, SARAWAK, Tuesday, 16th September 2025 – The Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) and the 20th Royal Malay Regiment (20 RAMD) Malaysian Army has officially concluded Exercise MALBRU SETIA 17/2024 and Exercise MERTAK BERSATU 15/2024, held at the Hutan Lambir Training Area, Miri, Sarawak, Malaysia. Present to co-officiate the closing ceremony were Brigadier General Aldi bin Haji Hassan, Commander of the RBLF and Yang Berbahagia Lieutenant General Dato’ Mohd Sofi bin Md Lepi, Commander of the Eastern Field Command, Malaysian Army.
COMMANDER RBLF INTRODUCTORY VISITS
BERAKAS GARRISON, Monday, 15th September 2025 – Brigadier General Aldi bin Haji Hassan, Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF), has completed a series of introductory visits to RBLF sub-units in conjunction with his appointment as the 15th Commander of RBLF. Throughout his visits, he was accompanied by Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Fakaruddin Zuraidie bin Haji Ramli, Field Commander RBLF, Lieutenant Colonel Erwan bin Haji Ibrahim, RBLF Chief of Staff, and Senior Officers.
THE 9TH BRUNEI-MALAYSIA ARMY TO ARMY STAFF TALK 2025
BERAKAS GARRISON, Friday, 12th September 2025 – The Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) hosted the 9th Brunei-Malaysia Army to Army Staff Talk (BRUMAL A2AST) 2025 with the Malaysian Army, held from 09th to 12th September 2025 at the Officers’ Mess, Berakas Garrison. The RBLF delegation was led by Lieutenant Colonel Erwan bin Haji Ibrahim, RBLF Chief of Staff, while the Malaysian Army was headed by Major General Dato’ Rashidin Hashimi bin Ab Rashid, Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations and Training.
RBLF FIELD COMMANDER ATTENDS DSEI UK 2025
LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM, Friday, 12th September 2025 - Lieutenant Colonel Fakaruddin Zuraidie bin Haji Ramli, the Field Commander of Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) and delegation, attended the Defence and Security Equipment International (DSEI) UK 2025, which took place from 09th September 2025 to 12th September 2025 at ExCeL London, United Kingdom.
SECTION DEFENCE FORCES DENTAL SERVICES (SDFDS) ANNUAL MEETING AND THE FDI ANNUAL WORLD DENTAL CONGRESS
PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA, Friday, 12th September 2025 – Colonel Dr Jefri bin Haji Abdul Razak, Chief Dental Services, Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) attended the Section of Defence Forces Dental Services (SDFDS) Annual Meeting in Xi’an and the Fédération Dentaire Internationale Annual World Dental Congress (FDI AWDC) in Shanghai, the People’s Republic of China, held from 5th to 12th September 2025. Also attending with him was Major Dr Mohammad Hamiz bin Haji Jamil, Senior Dental Officer Berakas RBLF.
EXERCISE MALBRU SETIA 17/2025 AND MERTAK BERSATU 15/2025 OPENING CEREMONY
MIRI, SARAWAK, Thursday, 11th September 2025 – The opening ceremony for Exercise MALBRU SETIA 17/2025 and Exercise MERTAK BERSATU 15/2025 was held at the Parade Square, Kem Sri Miri, Sarawak, today. The ceremony was co-officiated by Major General Dato Khairul Anwar bin Abd Aziz, Commander of the First Infantry Division Malaysian Army, and Colonel Muhammad Wata bin Abdullah Awat, Deputy Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF). A total of 169 officers and personnel from the First Battalion RBLF are participating in both exercises, scheduled from 8th to 18th September 2025.
RBLF PARTICIPATES IN THE MAULIDUR RASUL CELEBRATION 1447H
BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Saturday, 06th September 2025 – A total of 113 officers and personnel from the Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) joined His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, for the mass gathering and procession to commemorate the Birthday Anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) with the main event held at Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien, Bandar Seri Begawan.
INTERMEDIATE COMBAT ENGINEER COURSE CLOSING EVENT
PENANJONG GARRISON, Thursday, 4th September 2025 – The closing event of the Intermediate Combat Engineer Course 2025 was held today at the Engineer Regiment Headquarters, Royal Brunei Land Forces (Engr Regt RBLF), Penanjong Garrison. A total of 19 participants comprising the Engr Regt as well as Assault Pioneers from the First and Third Battalion RBLF attended the 15-week course, which took place from 19th May to 3rd September 2025.
