BERAKAS GARRISON, Sunday, 18 July 2021 – A Logistic personnel from Logistic Depot, Combat Service Support, Royal Brunei Land Force (CSS RBLF), Sergeant Tommy bin Tony recited his Islamic oath at Surau Al-Fa’izun, Berakas Garrison.
Present as the guest of honour was Major General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sahat, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF). Also present were RBAF Services Commanders, Brunei-Muara District Officer, Director of the Islamic Da’wah Centre, Senior Officers and Officers from the RBAF and the Islamic Da’wah Centre, as well as family members of Sergeant Tommy bin Tony.
The ceremony began with the recital of verses from the Al-Qur’an and the declaration of Shahadah (declaration of faith) by Sergeant Tommy bin Tony, led by an Officer from the Islamic Da’wah Centre. Sergeant Tommy bin Tony chose Mohammad Azhrin Azhar bin Abdullah Tony as his Muslim name.
The ceremony continued with the Dikir Marhaban, the sprinkling of ‘bunga rampai’ followed by a gift presentation by the guest of honour and from other invited guests. The ceremony then concluded with the recital of Doa Selamat.
ANGGOTA DEPOH LOGISTIK TENTERA DARAT DIRAJA BRUNEI MEMELUK AGAMA ISLAM
BERAKAS GARISON, Ahad, 18 Julai 2021 – Seorang anggota dari Depoh Logistik, Khidmat Bantuan Kombat, Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (KBK TDDB), Sarjan Tommy bin Tony telah memeluk agama Islam sebagai agama baru beliau pada majlis diadakan di Surau Al-Fa’izun, Berakas Garison.
Hadir selaku tetamu kehormat ialah Mejar Jeneral (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sahat, Pemerintah Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB). Turut hadir ialah Pemerintah-pemerintah Angkatan Tentera, Pegawai Daerah Brunei-Muara, Pengarah Pusat Da’wah Islamiah, Pegawai-pegawai ABDB dan Pusat Da’wah Islamiah, serta ahli keluarga kepada Sarjan Tommy bin Tony.
Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan ayat-ayat suci Al-Quran, diikuti dengan lafaz syahadah oleh Sarjan Tommy bin Tony, yang dipimpin oleh pegawai dari Pusat Da’wah Islamiah. Beliau telah memilih Mohammad Azhrin Azhar bin Abdullah Tony sebagai nama Islamnya.
Majlis diserikan dengan laungan Dikir Marhaban, taburan bunga rampai serta penyampaian cenderahati kenang-kenangan daripada tetamu kehormat majlis dan tetamu jemputan kepada Sarjan Mohammad Azhrin Azhar bin Abdullah Tony. Majlis kemudian di akhiri dengan bacaan Doa Selamat.
