PENANJONG GARISSON, Tuesday, 16 April 2019 – The Land Force Skill at Arms Meet 2019 (LFSAAM 2019) hosted by Support Battalion, Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) from 08 April 2019 concluded today.
Present as the guest of honour for the closing ceremony held at Binturan Shooting Range was Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Awang Khairul Hamed bin Awang Hj Lampoh, the Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Force. Also present at the ceremony were the Deputy Commander of RBLF, senior officers, officers and other invited guests.
Upon arrival, the guest of honour was welcomed by Lieutenant Colonel Haji Rony Zai bin Haji Zaini, Chairman of LFSAAM 2019. The ceremony commenced with an overall briefing and a site visit to the Secretariat and Statistics Centre (STATS). The RBLF Commander also observed the Final Rifle Match 5 and participated in a Novelty Shoot.
The ceremony then moved to the Grand Stand at Gallery 1 where the guest honour received an a honourary salute led by Major Mohd Shalleh bin Hj Ismail. The ceremony was followed with an introduction to the Contingent Commanders, the prize presentation for the winners of the Novelty Shoot and Round Cups for the winning teams and closing remarks by the guest of honour.
Support Battalion, RBLF emerged as the Overall Champion for LFSAAM 2019 whilst second place goes to First Battalion, RBLF and third place goes to Combat Service Support, RBLF. The ceremony concluded with the handing over of the LFSAAM flag and a group photo session.
The aims and objectives of the competition remain to improve individual weapon handling, shooting skills and encouraging a healthy competitive spirit amongst the units within Royal Brunei Land Force. It is also part of RBLF’S preparations for the upcoming ASEAN Armies Rifles Meet (AARM) which will be hosted in 2020. The next host of LFSAAM will be Combat Service Support, RBLF. The previous LFSAAM took place in 2010.

The Land Force Skills at Arms Meet 2019 (LFSAAM 2019) yang dihoskan oleh Batalion Bantu, Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB) dari 08 April 2019 berakhir pada hari ini.
Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat pada Upacara Penutup LFSAAM 2019 bertempat di Padang Tembak Binturan adalah Yang Mulia Brigadier Jeneral Dato Seri Pahlawan Awang Khairul Hamed bin Awang Hj Lampoh, Pemerintah TDDB. Juga hadir adalah Timbalan Pemerintah TDDB, pegawai-pegawai kanan, pegawai-pegawai dan jemputan khas.
Sejurus tiba, Tetamu Kehormat Majlis disambut oleh Yang Mulia Leftenan Kolonel Haji Rony Zai bin Haji Zaini, Pengerusi Perlawanan LFSAAM 2019. Upacara bermula dengan taklimat dan lawatan ke Urusetia dan Pusat Statistik (STATS). Pemerintah TDDB juga turut menyaksikan perlawanan
Final Rifle Match 5 dan mengikut serta dalam
Novelty Shoot.
Upacara diteruskan lagi dengan tabik hormat yang diketuai oleh Yang Mulia Mejar Mohd Shalleh bin Hj Ismail selaku Ketua Kontinjen di
Grand Stand, Galeri 1. Acara diikuti dengan suai kenal dengan Ketua Kontinjen, penyampaian hadiah
Novelty Shoot, Piala-piala kejohanan dan pusingan dan ucapan penutup dari Tetamu Kehormat.
Batalion Bantu, TDDB muncul sebagai Johan Keseluruhan bagi LFSAAM 2019. Naib Johan disandang oleh Batalion Pertama, TDDB dan tempat ketiga disandang oleh Khidmat Bantuan Kombat, TDDB. Upacara diakhiri dengan penyerahan bendera dan bergambar ramai.
Diantara matlamat dan objektik perlawanan LFSAAM adalah meningkatkan lagi kerjasama sepasukan, mengenal dan memahirkan pengendalian senjata-senjata dan memumuk daya saing diantara unit-unit TDDB. Ianya juga adalah persiapan TDDB dalam pengendalian dan perlaksanaan kejohanan
ASEAN Armies Rifles Meet (AARM) yang akan diungkayahkan pada 2020.
Pengerusi acara LFSAAM yang akan datang adalah Khidmat Bantuan Kombat, TDDB. Kali terakhir LFSAAM telah dikendalikan adalah pada tahun 2010.
