BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Rabu 14 Mac 2018 – Delegasi daripada Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB) yang diketuai oleh Yang Mulia Brigedier Jeneral Awang Khairul Hamed bin Haji Awang Lampoh, Pemerintah TDDB telah membuat perjumpaan bersama dengan Tuan Yang Terutama Sheikh Ahmed bin Hashil Al Maskari, Duta Besar Istimewa dan Mutlak Kesultanan Oman ke Negara Brunei Darussalam bertempat di Kedutaan Kesultanan Oman.
Tujuan utama perjumpaan tersebut adalah bagi melanjutkan perbincangan awal semasa lawatan delegasi TDDB ke Kesultanan Oman pada tahun 2015 iaitu bagi kerjasama bantuan lojistik untuk kereta perisai
Combat Vehicle Reconnaissance (Tracked) atau
CVRT di antara TDDB dan Tentera Darat Diraja Kesultanan Oman.
Semasa perjumpaan tersebut, kedua-dua pihak bersetuju untuk mempercepatkan kerjasama ini dan Tuan Yang Terutama telah mencadangkan satu delegasi daripada Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) bagi membuat lawatan ke Kesultanan Oman dalam masa terdekat untuk perbincangan terperinci bagi kerjasama selanjutnya.
Dikesempatan ini, Pemerintah TDDB juga memaklumkan mengenai EXERCISE BORAQ, iaitu latihan dua hala armor di antara Skuadron Kerita Perisai Peninjau (SKPP), Batalion Bantu TDDB dengan Rejimen Peninjau, Tentera Darat Diraja Kesultanan Oman yang diadakan pada tahun 1986 di Kesultanan Oman. Tuan Yang Terutama juga memberigakan tawaran kursus yang telah dibukakan kepada Kementerian Pertahanan, Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei
BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Wednesday 14 March 2018 - RBLF delegation headed by Brigadier General Awang Khairul Hamed bin Haji Awang Lampoh, the Commander of Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) made a courtesy visit to His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed bin Hashil Al Maskari, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Sultanate of Oman to Brunei Darussalam at the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman.
The main purpose of the visit was to resume the initial discussion following a visit by a delegation from RBLF to the Sultanate of Oman in 2015 on possible collaboration of logistical support for Combat Vehicle Reconnaissance (Tracked) or CVRT between the Royal Brunei Land Force and the Royal Army of the Sultanate of Oman (RASO).
During the meeting both sides agreed to expedite the collaboration and His Excellency suggested a team from the RBAF to visit the Sultanate of Oman in the near future to discuss further on the details of the possible collaboration.
In this opportunity, the Commander RBLF also mentioned EXERCISE BORAQ, which is a bilateral armoured exercise between the Armoured Reconnaissance Squadron (ARS), Support Battalion, RBLF and the Reconnaissance Regiment, RASO held in 1986 in the Sultanate of Oman. There was also discussion for possible cooperation for courses that can be offered by RASO to RBLF. His Excellency also revealed about courses that are offered to the Ministry of Defence, Brunei Darussalam.
Both sides hope that this meeting will pave the way for closer cooperation Royal Brunei Land Force and the Royal Army of the Sultanate of Oman and foster warm relation between the Brunei Darussalam and the Sultanate of Oman.
The visit ended with presentation of mementos by His Excellency to Commander RBLF and followed by photograph session.
