PENANJONG GARRISON, Thursday 01 November 2018 – The flag handover ceremony for 28th ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet Contingent (28th AARM) was held at Gallery 1, Binturan Shooting Range, Penanjong Garrison.
Present as the guest of honour was Yang Mulia Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Awang Khairul Hamed bin Awang Haji Lampoh, Commander of Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF). Also present to witness the ceremony were Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff, Senior Officers and other distinguished guests.
During the ceremony, the national flag was officially handed over by the guest of honour to Yang Mulia Lieutenant Colonel Tamin bin Tuah, the Contingent Commander. The guest of honour also expressed his hopes for the contingent to maintain and improve their performance as a team, which will bring out the competitive spirit and pride for the organisation as well as the country. Furthermore, he also reminded the whole contingent to maintain their discipline, continue to co-operate with one another as well as showing high professionalism throughout the competition.
The ceremony continued with a short briefing on the Contingent’s current performance and standings delivered to the guest of honour which was then followed by a Novelty Shoot Match for Carbine & Pistol. The ceremony concluded with prize presentations to the winners of the Novelty Shoot Match, the signing of parchment and a photo session.
The 28th AARM competition will be held at Terendak Camp, Malacca, Malaysia which will commence from 09 November until 30 November 2018. The AARM Contingent consists of 55 members who will partake in various events such as Carbine, Pistol, Rifle and General-Purpose Machine Gun (GPMG) shooting competitions.
UPACARA PENYERAHAN BENDERA BAGI PERLAWANAN ASEAN ARMIES RIFLE MEET YANG KE-28
PENANJONG GARISON, Khamis 01 November 2018 - Majlis Penyerahan Bendera Negara Brunei Darussalam kepada Kontingen Penembak Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB) yang akan menyertai Perlawanan ASEAN ARMIES RIFLE MEET yang ke-28 (28th AARM) telah diadakan di Galeri 1, Padang Tembak Binturan, Penanjong Garison.
Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat Majlis tersebut ialah Yang Mulia Brigedier Jeneral Dato Seri Pahlawan Awang Khairul Hamed bin Awang Haji Lampoh, Pemerintah TDDB. Turut hadir ialah Timbalan Pemerintah, Ketua Staf, Pegawai-pegawai Kanan dan Pegawai-Pegawai Jemputan bagi menyaksikan majlis tersebut.
Penyerahan bendera Negara Brunei Darussalam telah disampaikan oleh Tetamu Kehormat kepada Ketua Kontingen Penembak TDDB iaitu Yang Mulia Leftenan Kolonel Tamin bin Tuah. Semasa sesi berinteraksi dengan Kontingen Penembak, Tetamu Kehormat melahirkan harapan agar Pasukan Penembak TDDB akan dapat mengekalkan dan mempertingkatkan prestasi sebagai sebuah pasukan yang berdaya saing diperingkat antarabangsa seterusnya mengharumkan nama organisasi dan negara. Pada masa yang sama, tetamu kehormat juga mengingatkan kepada kontinjen penembak TDDB agar sentiasa menjaga disiplin, kerjasama serantau serta mempamerkan sikap profesionalisme yang tinggi disepanjang perlawanan tersebut.
Majlis tersebut diteruskan dengan lawatan Yang Mulia Pemerintah TDDB dimulai dengan taklimat ringkas prestasi penembak-penembak di bilik taklimat Pejabat Urusetia AARM 2018. Acara tersebut juga diserikan lagi dengan perlawanan
Novelty Shoot Carbine dan
Pistol. Lawatan Pemerintah TDDB diakhiri dengan menikmati jamuan di bilik jamuan Pejabat Urusetia AARM 2018 dan diikuti dengan penyampaian hadiah bagi pemenang-pemenang semasa perlawanan
menembak Novelty Shoot, menandatangani lembaran kenangan dan bergambar ramai.
Perlawanan pada tahun ini akan diadakan di Terendak Kem, Melaka, Malaysia bermula pada 09 November dan berakhir pada 30 November 2018. Seramai 55 orang anggota TDDB menyertai perlawanan tahun ini dalam beberapa acara perlawanan menembak seperti acara menembak senjata
Carbine, Pistol, Rifle dan
General Purpose Machine Gun (GPMG).
