LUMUT CAMP, Friday, 04 February 2022 – The Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), Major General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sahat made a farewell visit to the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) today at Lumut Camp. The visit was conducted in accordance with the Ministry of Health’s COVID-19 pandemic guidelines.
Upon arrival at the Third Battalion RBLF Headquarters, the Commander of RBAF was received by Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of RBLF. The Commander of RBAF later received an Honourary Salute and inspected the Guard of Honour comprised of RBLF personnel.
Also in attendance during the ceremony were Deputy Commander of RBLF, Chief of Staff RBLF, Senior officers, Officers, Land Force Sergeant Major and other RBLF personnel.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Captain Muhd Nasyrul Wafiy bin Haji Mahdini, Operations Officer from the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Religious Directorate (JAMA’AT) followed by a short video clip presentation of the visits and events attended by RBAF Commander to RBLF.
The ceremony continued with a speech delivered by the Commander of RBLF where he expressed gratitude and thanks for the advice, support and guidance contributed by the Commander of RBAF towards RBLF. He also highlighted the Commander of RBAF’s efforts and initiatives which has broadened various aspects within the RBAF such as operations, training, and welfare which has led to the continued success of the RBAF.
In his farewell speech, the Commander of RBAF highlighted on the maintenance of morale and welfare for all personnel, to practice self-reflection and the importance of piety and taqwa to produce disciplined personnel. He also reminded all personnel to persevere when faced with trials and hardships, especially when performing their respective duties.
The ceremony continued with the presentation of mementos to the Commander of RBAF from RBLF officers and RBLF personnel as a token of appreciation and to commemorate his tenure as Commander of RBAF, the signing of parchment as well as a tree-planting ceremony within the compounds of Surau Ar-Rahmah. The event concluded with a group photo session.
KUNJUNGAN PERPISAHAN PEMERINTAH ANGKATAN BERSENJATA DIRAJA BRUNEI KE TENTERA DARAT DIRAJA BRUNEI
PERKHEMAHAN LUMUT, Jumaat, 04 Februari 2022 – Pemerintah Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB), Mejar Jeneral (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sahat telah membuat kunjungan perpisahan ke Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB) hari ini bertempat di Perkhemahan Lumut. Acara tersebut telah dilaksanakan mengikut garis panduan yang telah ditetapkan oleh Kementerian Kesihatan.
Sejurus tiba di Markas Batalion Ketiga TDDB, Pemerintah ABDB disambut oleh Brigedier Jeneral Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Pemerintah TDDB. Pemerintah ABDB menerima tabik hormat dan seterusnya memeriksa perbarisan kawalan kehormatan yang terdiri daripada anggota TDDB.
Turut hadir di majlis tersebut ialah Timbalan Pemerintah TDDB, Ketua Staf TDDB, Pegawai-pegawai Kanan, Pegawai-pegawai, Sarjan Mejar TDDB serta anggota-anggota TDDB.
Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah yang dipimpin oleh Kapten Muhd Nasyrul Wafiy bin Haji Mahdini, Pegawai Operasi daripada Jabatanarah Agama Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (JAMA’AT ABDB) dan tayangan klip video pendek yang menunjukkan kunjungan dan majlis-majlis yang dihadiri oleh Pemerintah ABDB ke TDDB.
Majlis diteruskan dengan ucapan daripada Pemerintah TDDB yang mana beliau menzahirkan rasa penghargaan dan setinggi-tinggi terima kasih kepada Pemerintah ABDB atas segala nasihat, sokongan dan panduan yang telah diberikan terhadap TDDB. Beliau juga menekankan mengenai usaha-usaha padu yang telah dilaksanakan Pemerintah ABDB bagi mengembangluaskan pelbagai aspek yang merangkumi sudut operasi, latihan dan kebajikan anggota demi kesejahteraan dan perkembangan berterusan ABDB ke mercu kecemerlangan.
Dalam ucapan perpisahan beliau, Pemerintah ABDB menekankan akan kepentingan untuk sentiasa menjaga kebajikan anggota di semua peringkat, mengamalkan muhasabah diri serta menjaga iman dan takwa dalam menjadikan anggota TDDB yang berdisiplin. Beliau juga mengingatkan semua anggota TDDB agar sentiasa tabah menghadapi cubaan dan dugaan terutamanya ketika menjalankan tugas masing-masing.
Majlis tersebut disusuli dengan penyampaian cenderahati kenangan daripada Pegawai-pegawai dan anggota-anggota TDDB sebagai tanda ingatan dan penghargaan atas sumbangan dan kepimpinan beliau sebagai Pemerintah ABDB, penandatanganan lembaran kenangan serta diteruskan dengan penanaman pokok di kawasan Surau Ar-Rahmah. Majlis diakhiri dengan sesi bergambar ramai.
