BERAKAS GARISSON, Friday, 10 May 2024 – Lieutenant Colonel Dr Hjh Norinda bte Hj Tengah, Deputy Chief Dental Services (Clinical) and Major Dr Nur Md Hisyamuddin bin Hj Masri, Acting Senior Dental Officer, dental officers specialising in oral surgery from the Dental Services, Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) attended the annual Glasgow Oral Surgery Symposium via Video Teleconference (VTC). 

With a theme, Maxillary Sinus and Oral Surgery, the symposium delivered as a hybrid conference participated by more than 150 face to face and online delegates. The symposium covered the importance of understanding surgical anatomy to improve surgical outcomes, radiological interpretation including the use of advanced imaging such as CBCT, prevention and management of complications involving the maxillary sinus during oral surgical procedures.  Hence, the symposium served as a valuable platform for dental professionals to enhance their understanding of maxillary sinus and oral rehabilitation.

Dental Services RBLF attendance at this symposium highlighted the organisation’s commitment for the continuous professional development of its officers to ensure quality dental service aligned with international standards in order to achieve its vision of providing excellence in military dental services.

KHIDMAT PERGIGIAN TENTERA DARAT DIRAJA BRUNEI (TDDB) HADIRI SIMPOSIUM GLASGOW ORAL SURGERY

BERAKAS GARISON, Jumaat, 10 Mei 2024 – Leftenan Kolonel Dr Hjh Norinda bte Hj Tengah, Timbalan Ketua Khidmat Pergigian (Klinikal) dan Mejar Dr Nur Md Hisyamuddin bin Hj Masri, Pemangku Pegawai Pergigian Kanan, Pegawai Pergigian dan Pakar Pembedahan Mulut daripada Khidmat Pergigian Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB) telah menghadiri Simposium Glasgow Oral Surgery secara maya.

Dengan tema  ‘Maxillary Sinus and Oral Surgery’, simposium ini diadakan secara hybrid, di mana ianya dihadiri oleh lebih dari 150 delegasi profesional menerusi maya dan bersemuka. Perbincangan merangkumi anatomi pembedahan, penafsiran radiologi dan pencegahan serta pengurusan komplikasi melibatkan sinus maksila yang timbul daripada prosedur pembedahan mulut. Justeru itu persidangan ini menjadi platform berharga bagi para profesional pergigian untuk meningkatkan pemahaman tentang sinus maksila dan pembedahan mulut.

Penyertaan TDDB di Simposium ini menunjukkan komitmen tinggi Khidmat Pergigian terhadap pendidikan profesional berterusan demi memastikan perkhidmatan pergigian yang berkualiti dengan tenaga kerja yang mahir, mematuhi piawaian klinikal antarabangsa  dan mengikuti amalan terbaik dalam mendokong visi Khidmat Pergigian TDDB, iaitu Kecemerlangan dalam Khidmat Pergigian Tentera.
