BERAKAS GARRISON, Monday, 20 December 2021 – Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) received a farewell call from Colonel Yeo Joon Hua Desmond, the outgoing Defence Adviser of the Republic of Singapore to Brunei Darussalam and an introductory call from Colonel Chee Peter, the incoming Defence Adviser of the Republic of Singapore to Brunei Darussalam at RBLF Headquarters. The courtesy call was carried out in accordance with the protocols that have been set by the Ministry of Health.
During the call, the Commander RBLF conveyed his appreciation to Colonel Yeo Joon Hua Desmond for his cooperation and contribution during his tenure as the Defence Adviser of the Republic of Singapore to Brunei Darussalam in coordinating bilateral cooperation between both countries. He also congratulated Colonel Chee Peter on his new appointment as the new Defence Adviser of the Republic of Singapore to Brunei Darussalam and look forward to any opportunity for cooperation and interactions between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Singapore.
The Commander of RBLF also acknowledged the close diplomatic relations between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Singapore that has progressed positively over the years through the exchanges of visits, courses, training, projects and multilateral interactions. The call continued with a luncheon hosted by the Commander of RBLF and concluded with a group photo session.
Colonel Yeo Joon Hua Desmond was appointed as the Defence Adviser of the Republic of Singapore to Brunei Darussalam in 2017, whilst Colonel Chee Peter will take over the new appointment in January 2022.

BERAKAS GARISON, Isnin, 20 December 2021 – Brigedier Jeneral Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Pemerintah Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB) telah menerima kunjungan perpisahan daripada Kolonel Yeo Joon Hua Desmond, mantan Penasihat Pertahanan Republik Singapura ke Negara Brunei Darussalam dan kunjungan pengenalan daripada Kolonel Chee Peter, Penasihat Pertahanan Republik Singapura ke Negara Brunei Darussalam yang baru di Markas TDDB. Kunjungan hormat tersebut telah dilaksanakan mengikut protokol yang telah ditetapkan oleh Kementerian Kesihatan.
Semasa perjumpaan tersebut, Pemerintah TDDB menyatakan rasa penghargaannya kepada Kolonel Yeo Joon Hua Desmond atas kerjasama dan sumbangan beliau sebagai Penasihat Pertahanan Republik Singapura ke Negara Brunei Darussalam di sepanjang tempoh perkhidmatan beliau dalam mengkoordinasi kerjasama dua hala di antara kedua buah negara. Beliau juga turut mengucapkan tahniah kepada Kolonel Chee Peter atas perjawatan beliau selaku Penasihat Pertahanan Republik Singapura ke Negara Brunei Darussalam yang baru di samping berharap dapat meningkatkan kerjasama dan interaksi yang erat antara Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Republik Singapura pada masa akan datang.
Pemerintah TDDB juga meluahkan rasa penghargaan atas hubungan diplomatik dua hala yang mesra antara Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Republik Singapura yang telah berkembang baik selama bertahun-tahun melalui pertukaran lawatan, kursus, latihan, projek dan interaksi pelbagai hala. Kunjungan tersebut diteruskan dengan jamuan tengah hari yang dihoskan oleh Pemerintah TDDB dan diakhiri dengan sesi bergambar ramai.
Kolonel Yeo Joon Hua Desmond telah dilantik sebagai Penasihat Pertahanan Republik Singapura ke Negara Brunei Darussalam sejak tahun 2017 manakala Kolonel Chee Peter akan mula mengambil alih perjawatan tersebut bermula bulan Januari 2022.
