BERAKAS GARRISON, Monday, 04 October 2021 – Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) convened a farewell video conference with Senior Colonel Nguyen Thien Son, the outgoing Defence Attaché of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Brunei Darussalam and an introductory call with Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Huan, the incoming Defence Attaché of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Brunei Darussalam today at RBLF Headquarters.
During the call, the Commander RBLF conveyed his appreciation to Senior Colonel Nguyen Thien Son for his cooperation and contribution during his tenure as the Defence Attaché of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Brunei Darussalam in coordinating bilateral cooperation between both countries. He also congratulated Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Huan on his appointment as the new Defence Attaché of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Brunei Darussalam and look forward to any opportunity for cooperation and interactions between Brunei Darussalam and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the future.
The Commander of RBLF also acknowledged the cordial diplomatic relations between Brunei Darussalam and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam that has progressed positively over the years through the exchanges of visits, courses, training, and multilateral interactions despite the limitations brought forth by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Senior Colonel Nguyen Thien Son was appointed as the Defence Attaché of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Brunei Darussalam in 2017, whilst Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Huan has taken over the post since May 2021.

BERAKAS GARISON, Isnin, 04 Oktober 2021 – Brigedier Jeneral Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Pemerintah Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB) telah mengadakan kunjungan perpisahan atas talian bersama Senior Colonel Nguyen Thien Son, mantan Atase Pertahanan Sosialis Republik Vietnam ke Negara Brunei Darussalam dan kunjungan pengenalan daripada Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Huan, Atase Pertahanan Sosialis Republik Vietnam ke Negara Brunei Darussalam yang baru pada hari ini bertempat di Markas TDDB.
Semasa perjumpaan tersebut, Pemerintah TDDB menyatakan rasa penghargaannya kepada Senior Colonel Nguyen Thien Son atas kerjasama dan sumbangan beliau sebagai Atase Pertahanan Sosialis Republik Vietnam ke Negara Brunei Darussalam di sepanjang tempoh perkhidmatan beliau dalam mengkoordinasi kerjasama dua hala di antara kedua buah negara. Beliau juga turut mengucapkan tahniah kepada Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Huan atas perjawatan beliau selaku Atase Pertahanan Sosialis Republik Vietnam ke Negara Brunei Darussalam yang baru di samping berharap dapat meningkatkan kerjasama dan interaksi yang erat antara Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Republik Sosialis Vietnam pada masa akan datang.
Pemerintah TDDB juga meluahkan rasa penghargaan atas hubungan diplomatik dua hala yang mesra antara Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Republik Sosialis Vietnam yang telah berkembang baik selama bertahun-tahun melalui pertukaran lawatan, kursus, latihan, dan interaksi pelbagai hala walaupun terdapat cabaran hasil penularan COVID-19.
Senior Colonel Nguyen Thien Son telah dilantik sebagai Atase Pertahanan Sosialis Republik Vietnam ke Negara Brunei Darussalam sejak tahun 2017 dan Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Huan telah mula mengambil alih perjawatan tersebut sejak bulan Mei 2021.
