HONOLULU, Thursday, 19 May 2022 –Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Abdul Razak bin Haji Abd. Kadir, the Commander of Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) attended the Land Forces of the Pacific (LANPAC) Symposium and Exposition 2022 which took place from 17 May 2022 to 19 May 2022 in Honolulu, Hawaii, United States of America.
The LANPAC Symposium and Exposition is an international event that brings together the indo-pacific region’s armies into a conference hosted by The Association of the United States Army (AUSA). The event had been paused for three years since 2019 due to the global pandemic of COVID-19, and was resume this year with the theme “Strengthening Alliances and Partnerships – How Land Power Contributes to a Free and Open Indo-Pacific”. This year’s theme is significant as it discussed the importance of the army’s role in the strategic environment in preparation to meet future challenges such as deterrence, pandemics, climate change and other catastrophes. The conference highlights the importance of the relationship between military readiness and assurance through combined joint training in a multi-domain operation within the Indo Pacific.
This year’s event was attended by over 26 countries and was launched by General A. Flynn, the Commanding General of the United States Army Pacific (USARPAC). During the symposium, the Commander of RBLF also conducted bilateral meetings with his counterparts to discuss on future initiatives to further strengthen the defence cooperation and foster relationships between the respective forces and countries in general. While at the exposition, the Commander of RBLF also had the opportunity to visit a multitude of exhibitors which showcased leading equipment, products, innovative technology, and service solutions to address armies’ capabilities and requirements.
This Symposium and Exposition aimed to provide a unique opportunity to engage with other allies and partners from across the pacific region which benefit armies in the exchange of ideas in terms of enhancing armies’ capabilities and forging bilateral and multinational relationships through joint exercises or army to army talk. This year, the RBLF will also recommence its bilateral exercises and other initiatives that had been delayed due to the global pandemic to further strengthen the relationship between the land forces within the region.
PEMERINTAH TENTERA DARAT DIRAJA BRUNEI MENGHADIRI LAND FORCE OF THE PACIFIC (LANPAC) SYMPOSIUM AND EXPOSITION 2022
HONOLULU, Khamis, 19 Mei 2022 – Yang Mulia Brigedier Jeneral Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Abdul Razak bin Haji Abd. Kadir, Pemerintah Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB) telah menghadiri Land Force of the Pacific (LANPAC) Symposium and Exposition 2022 yang bermula dari 17 Mei 2022 sehingga 19 Mei 2022 bertempat di Honolulu, Hawaii, Amerika Syarikat.
Acara LANPAC Symposium and Exposition merupakan salah satu acara antarabangsa dan adalah persidangan tentera darat yang terbesar di rantau Indo-Pasifik yang dikendalikan oleh The Association of the United States Army (AUSA). Persidangan itu telah ditunda selama tiga tahun sejak tahun 2019 disebabkan oleh pandemik global COVID-19 dan telah dapat dikendalikan pada tahun ini dengan tema “Strengthening Alliances and Partnerships – How Land power Contributes to A Free and Open Indo-Pacific“. Tema tahun ini adalah penting kerana ia membincangkan kepentingan peranan tentera dalam persekitaran strategik sebagai persediaan untuk menghadapi cabaran masa depan yang merangkumi pencegahan wabak, perubahan iklim dan malapetaka lain. Persidangan itu menekankan kepentingan hubungan antara kesediaan ketenteraan, dan jaminan melalui gabungan latihan bersama dalam operasi berbilang domain dalam Indo Pasifik.
Acara tahun ini telah dihadiri oleh lebih 26 negara dan telah dilancarkan oleh General A. Flynn, the Commanding General of the United States Army Pacific (USARPAC). Semasa acara tersebut, Pemerintah TDDB turut mengadakan perjumpaan dua hala dengan rakan sejawatannya bagi membincangkan inisiatif masa depan bagi mengukuhkan lagi kerjasama pertahanan dan memupuk hubungan antara pasukan masing-masing dan negara secara amnya. Semasa berada di pameran, Pemerintah TDDB juga berpeluang melawat pelbagai ekposisi yang mempamerkan peralatan, produk, teknologi inovatif dan service solutions yang terkemuka di industri untuk meningkatkan keupayaan dan keperluan tentera.
Acara LANPAC Symposium and Exposition ini bertujuan memberikan peluang unik untuk berhubung dengan rakan kongsi lain dari seluruh rantau pasifik yang dapat memberikan manfaat kepada tentera darat dalam mempercepatkan idea dari segi meningkatkan keupayaan tentera dan mempercepatkan hubungan dua hala dan multinasional melalui latihan bersama atau perbincangan tentera. Pada tahun ini, TDDB juga akan meneruskan semula latihan dua hala dan inisiatif lain untuk menguatkan lagi hubungan antara tentera darat di rantau ini.
